Mike catalogued the violent left-wing riot outside the University of California-Berkeley on Monday.
Harmeet Dhillon, the assistant attorney general for the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division, announced an investigation into UC-Berkeley.
Dhillon has already taken on Berkeley. She represented the Berkeley College Republicans in 2017 when the students sued the school over a speech by Ann Coulter.
Dhillon wrote on X:
Berkeley:@UCBerkeley and the City of Berkeley should expect some incoming @CivilRights correspondence. And more. In America, we do not allow citizens to be attacked by violent thugs and shrug and turn our backs. Been there, done that, not on our watch.
Dhillon followed up:
We saw all of this at Berkeley back in 2017. @UCBerkeley was sued, and settled the case. The @CivilRights will investigate what happened here, and I see several issues of serious concern regarding campus and local security and Antifa’s ability to operate with impunity in CA.
Riot police had to go to the school after Antifa and other far-left extremists issued threats over the Turning Point USA event.
Andy Ngo said the violent Antifa group “By Any Means Necessary” helped organize the riot.
The thugs surrounded the building while yelling, “Fascists out of Berkeley!”
I didn’t realize these people were staring in a mirror!
One extremist stole a conservative male’s necklace and punched him twice in the face. As he stood there with a bloody face, the rioters mocked him for being white.
One attendee said the QR code “didn’t register,” noting how no one could give them a straight answer on the problem.
She said the violent thugs “screamed, vandalized, threw paint,” and launched glass bottles and cups at other attendees.
“This was not [a] ‘peaceful protest,'” she wrote on X. “It was intimidation. I have never seen anything like it before. ”
