(00:07:17): Until I became this accidental activist in the summer of 2020 as a parent, when I was confronted for the first time with the hierarchy of human value that this crazy legal theory called critical race theory brought to the United States. And why did I wake up in that moment to this intersection now of the law with our school system? Because every value that I had come to appreciate in the US of equality, of even kindness, was being usurped by this new theory. This old theory applied newly into our society that created this new hierarchy of human value where there was a new hierarchy of oppressors versus oppressed….

Nomani (00:08:35):

And I also bring all of this up because this is all happening for me in the context of this larger battle that I had been waging for 15 years then against an extremist interpretation of Islam…. And so my awakening as a journalist was after the nine 11 attacks when my dear friend Danny Pearl was in Pakistan, and I found myself there also doing reporting.

Nomani (00:09:50):

And Danny was kidnapped on January 23rd, 2002, by militants in Islam in my birth faith, who targeted Danny because he was an American first and then as a journalist. And then they discovered that Danny was Jewish. And weeks later we saw the murder video in which the men who murdered Danny had him declare his identity. And he did it with great courage.

And he said to everyone, my father is Jewish, my mother is Jewish, I am Jewish. And he declared also something really important. He declared how his ancestry were Zionists, he said the Zionist word. He said that there was a paternal grandfather he had who had his street name for him, Haim Pearl Street, in the town of Bnei Brak, outside of Tel Aviv.

And those were among Danny’s last words. And so I bring all this up also because it informs all of the work that I do.

Nomani (00:11:01):

Now, Danny was murdered by the same sectarianism that I was free from growing up in West by God Virginia. He was murdered by a hate that exhibited this hierarchy of human value that I was free from also growing up in America.

So in Danny’s murder was this awful, awful personal intersection that I had with the worst of humanity for many years. I challenged that Islamic extremism around the world, but also here at home in America.

And so I investigated the network that was essentially supporting that concept of Islam that we call political Islam. Sometimes people call it Islamism. So it’s an -ism.

And there in the summer of 2020, I learned about this intersection now with Islamism and wokeism, these two religions that practiced the same sectarianism that murdered Danny, that same hierarchy of human value that my parents rejected that America had traditionally rejected.

And now what we can see is the political violence that those two groups together in their unholy alliance have unleashed on the streets of the United States. 

I wrote my book Woke Army in the moment. I rewrote it in the summer of 2020 with the new understanding that I had about critical race theory….

And I am here to discuss this with you so that we can answer any questions that you have about how they operate. But I want to just leave you with my own inspiration for my own life, which is that as long as the blood flows in our veins, as long as we have breath, I believe it is our duty to try to fight this extremism and to expose it, to investigate it, to stand up to it, to express our voices in whatever way that we can.

WAJ (00:32:01): Thank you Asra. I love the fact that you’ve tracked these things and can show them, and we want help you publicize what you’re doing. beause that’s super important.

I don’t have a lot to add except I do want focus on this issue of the blue. The blue. Maybe it’s a metaphor for Democrat, but it’s not really limited to the party itself.  To me, it is symptomatic.

If any of you saw our podcast with Gad Saad, where he talked about the problems of suicidal empathy, things like that in the West. It’s an unwillingness to recognize what the agenda is here. And it is now that unwillingness to recognize, and to some extent, the embrace has been normalized. It has been mainstreamed mostly through the Democratic party, but not exclusively.

The problem with the blue is, the way I view the red and the green , is that they could not succeed in a society unless the door was held open for them. And the blue, however you define it, liberal, leftist , progressive, whatever you want to call it, is holding the door open for them.

We’ve seen this movie before. We saw it in Iran. The leftists don’t realize that in Iran before the revolution, the left and the Islamists joined together. And as soon as the Shah was overthrown, the Islamists killed all the leftists, and drove them out of the country. And I met some of them when I was a student in Moscow who had fled Iran for fear of their lives.

So this is very dangerous, and it’s opening the door, it’s holding it open, it’s mainstreaming it ….

WAJ (00:34:22): It’s the Squad. And not just those five or six or seven people, but that whole ideology. And that’s really, I think the concern here is that it’s becoming mainstreamed. It’s becoming normalized. The door is held open….

They use our system against us? They use the fact that we do have a constitution that gives a lot of protections to the individual, and we don’t want to lose those protections, but those protections then get exploited to destroy our system. And so it’s really a difficult situation because they use our system against us….

WAJ (00:35:30): So it’s a very serious situation. I think that it’s gotten a lot worse in the last two to three years, precisely for that reason…. So it’s become normalized, and I think that’s the major concern. I’m sure we’ll have some questions and maybe get to what can be done, but that’s the concern that I have, is that what once was fringe, what once we would refer to as lunatic Marxists and Islamic radicals are now mainstreamed in the United States. And this is something we need to be aware of and we need to push back against, and we can’t let people forget….

[In response to question] Yeah, well, that’s what’s referred to as the Woke Right … And the kind of the poster child for the Woke Right is Tucker Carlson. He’s the leader. He’s the person who has normalized a lot of the Islamist Jew hatred into the GOP, into the MAGA movement. … So this is an important person. And why is it relevant to what we’re discussing here tonight? It’s relevant because this is another holding open the door. So if the blue opened the door to this, the woke right is holding it open….

So the woke right is part of this ’cause they’re holding the door open and they’re seeking to undermine one of the forces in this country that was willing to stand up to the Red-Green Alliance. So they’re not only holding open the door, they’re attempting to destroy the opposition to the Red-Green Alliance. And so it’s very troubling. And it’s mostly social media influencer based.

KK (00:30:14): Now is the time. You know, we’ve had, I wouldn’t even say a luxury because some of us have not had that luxury. Some of us has have chosen to be willing to take a blow to absorb the arrows, to do what we need to do in every way that we possibly can in order to tell the truth, in order to educate people so that people know what we’re dealing with, realistically, in the hopes that we would not end up where we are now. The situation looks pretty dire, and it seems as though walls are closing in rapidly.

But I just want to encourage everyone, I usually save this for the end of the program, but I really want to encourage you, whether it’s with this information or whatever your sphere of influence is, now is the time. We have to all do whatever we can. That doesn’t mean you have to get involved in litigation, it doesn’t mean you have to get involved in federal politics on the national stage. You don’t have to do any of those things. But your willingness to stand up and to call these things out, to share the truth, to speak the truth, to share facts and information with people is crucial. It’s 100% crucial to where this ends up leading.
