Report: Suspect in Assassination of Charlie Kirk in ‘Romantic Relationship’ With Transgender Person
“Bureau officials confirmed that Tyler Robinson, 22, was in a ‘romantic relationship’ with the unnamed person, who is a male transitioning to a female, and that they shared an apartment in Saint George, Utah.”
Predictably, the Very Online Left and even some in the media have been trying to push the narrative that Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old suspect in the assassination of conservative icon Charlie Kirk, was right-wing because members of his family are reportedly registered Republicans.
Legal Insurrection reported on this Friday, contrasting it with other media reports about what friends have said, statements from Utah’s Gov. Spencer Cox (R), and information from the FBI that doesn’t really square with the Usual Suspects’ “MAGA groyper” portrayal of Robinson:

While the FBI is still investigating possible motives, more details are coming to light that further derail suggestions that Robinson is a hardcore conservative who supposedly didn’t think Charlie Kirk was conservative enough:
Bureau officials confirmed that Tyler Robinson, 22, was in a “romantic relationship” with the unnamed person, who is a male transitioning to a female, and that they shared an apartment in Saint George, Utah. Those FBI officials told Fox News Digital that Robinson’s partner is fully cooperating with the FBI’s investigation.
One FBI official told Fox News Digital the individual has been “extremely cooperative,” and said the person “had no idea” Robinson was allegedly planning to assassinate the Turning Point USA founder. The person is not currently accused of any criminal activity in connection with the assassination.
FBI officials told Fox News Digital that the FBI had text messages and other communications between Robinson and his partner that helped FBI agents zero in on Robinson. Officials said the FBI took evidence from their apartment, including computers, which has been sent to Quantico for review, Fox News Digital has learned.
Interestingly, the Daily Mail reported that it was an alleged roommate of Robinson’s, Lance Twiggs, who turned over the texts to the authorities. It’s unknown if that “roommate” is the alleged “romantic partner” in question:
His identity was revealed as separate reports emerged from Fox and the New York Post which stated that Robinson was living with a ‘transgender partner’ who is co-operating with the investigation.
It is unclear if Twiggs is the same person referenced in the reports and he has not been named in the affidavit. His grandfather, Jerry Twiggs, told Daily Mail that he was unable to comment on rumors that he is trans and that there was a transgender motive to Kirk’s murder.
‘I don’t want to comment on that. I’m not sure what his situation is exactly right now,’ he said, adding that he had never met Robinson.

In December 2024, Twiggs changed his preferred display name on Steam from Lance to “Luna.” A search of Reddit for usernames connected to his Steam username history revealed a match: user “lancelott3,” with the display name “flux.” Biographical details on the Reddit account line up with Twiggs.
That account was highly active on the r/4tran subreddit.
In November 2024, Twiggs posted about his anxiety with injecting cross-sex hormones. Replying to a thread on injection pain, he wrote: “seriously. sometimes it’s just muscle memory, sometimes i gotta get buzzed on something so i’m not too anxious about it.”
Update: As I was composing this post, Gov. Cox confirmed in a Sunday interview that the male roommate was transitioning to female and was romantically involved with Robinson:

Considering that two people jumped up to look guilty and slow down the initial manhunt, it’s possible he is another red herring.

There’s emerging evidence that the shooter was in an online social circle in this ‘ftrans-furry’ community. There’s also some evidence that there, at minimum, may have been others in this online community who were keenly aware of who the shooter was targeting and where the attack would take place.
After 9/11, our intelligence apparatus focused deeply on the terrorist communication network. Has there been any effort by law enforcement to examine the many recent trans-terrorist attacks and determine if there are other communication links between those attackers and groups like the Utah shooter was involved in? If that isn’t happening, then Kash Patel really isn’t in charge of the FBI…and I worry that may be the case.
