Media Hides That Nashua NH Shooter Shouted ‘Free Palestine’
When media outlets erase inconvenient facts, that isn’t journalism. It’s narrative management and propaganda at best.
A horrific tragedy struck in Nashua, New Hampshire, Saturday night when a masked gunman stormed into a wedding reception at the Sky Meadow Country Club, opened fire, and killed a guest. Witnesses said the shooter shouted political slogans—including “Free Palestine” before pulling the trigger. Yet some of the nation’s leading outlets are conspicuously omitting that detail.
According to the New York Post:
“A crazed gunman shouted ‘Free Palestine’ before he opened fire on a Nashua, New Hampshire, wedding reception and killed one guest — just as the bride and groom were about to start their first dance, according to witnesses.”.
Police later identified the suspect as 23-year-old Hunter Nadeau, who has been charged with murder. The victim was 59-year-old Robert Steven DeCesare.
The Associated Press, via Fox News, confirmed the same account from an eyewitness:
“The shooter who killed a man and wounded two other adults during a wedding at a New Hampshire country club on Saturday yelled ‘Free Palestine’ as the chaos unfolded, a witness told The Associated Press.”
Tom Bartelson, the uncle of the groom, described the mayhem:
“Getting together for a dance for the bride and groom and then all chaos went off. We heard about six shots and everybody ducked for cover and next thing you know we’re rushed into safe spots and things like that.”

That initial reporting matches an eyewitness interview captured immediately after the attack. The witness recalled both the shooter’s words and the chaos that followed:
“He just came out and said, yeah, what he said was, the children are safe. And, you know, free, free Palestine. … At first, I didn’t realize it was gunshots. It sounded like balloons. Because, you know, we’re at a festivity, thinking there maybe somebody popped the balloon. But then you look around, we didn’t have balloons and then it got serious because it was two and then four right away. That’s what I heard anyway. People started running right away. They ducked and covered”.
Local police quickly confirmed the attack involved only one shooter:
Video surveillance has confirmed there was only one shooter and they are currently being detained. The scene is still an active investigation but there is no further danger to the public.

“Video surveillance has confirmed there was only one shooter and they are currently being detained. The scene is still an active investigation but there is no further danger to the public.”
Despite eyewitnesses confirming the shooter shouted “Free Palestine,” NBC News never mentioned it. As National Review’s Charles C. W. Cooke noted, readers had to turn to The Guardian to learn the truth.
This story consists of 20 paragraphs, and at no point in any of them does NBC relate that the shooter shouted “free Palestine!” before he opened fire. To find that out, I had to read the British left-wing newspaper, The Guardian. https://t.co/5SVFsz5dg7

Not to be outdone, in CNN’s coverage, it takes 17 paragraphs to get to the “free Palestine” coverage:
Tom Bartelson, who was also at the wedding, told WHDH he heard the gunman yell “the children are safe” and “free Palestine.”
That’s not an oversight. It’s deliberate. When media outlets erase inconvenient facts, that isn’t journalism. It’s narrative management and propaganda at best.

Once again you cannot have enough disdain for the majority of the media (trying to pull back use of the h@te term).
We could try loathe, as in, “you cannot loathe the msm enough”. Abhor would work well too.. Both suggest disgust for as well as intense dislike, so perhaps theyd be even better anyway?
Loathing and abhorring are perfectly normal reactions to the actions and inactions of the MSM and leftist politicians. In fact, the left loudly proclaimed that they found Charlie Kirk’s ideas and actions loathsome and abhorrent. We can return the sentiment… in spades.
Print and cable media can publish anything they want as long as it not libelous. Broadcast media is a different matter. They air frequencies are limited. They have a responsibility to broadcast the full truth, If they aren’t, warn them and then yank their damn license and auction off their frequency. Stop mucking around, Make an example. I suggest CBS’s NYC station would be a good starting place.
Sadly, I don’t think omitting information is actually a violation of FCC regs. Probably why criminals lost all description decades ago.
Time to change the regs then.
This snippet from the uber-woke Boston TV station at about 20 paragraphs into the story:
“He said, ‘The children are safe.’ And, ‘Free Palestine,'” Bartelson said.
Reporters asked Hinckley about the shooter’s possible motive.”
Seriously? How (bleep) stupid do you have to be not to comprehend the glaringly obvious that is right in front of you?
You have to be journalism-stupid, that’s how.
Indeed. The MSM claims that the shout was indecipherable….except to everyone who heard it. Another lie by the MSM.
Was this a Jewish wedding?
Was he Muslim?
Was he /it trans?
Police: there was only one shooter and they were apprehended.
I weep for the passing of grammar.
It is Orwellian.
The singular they in reference to sex-unspecified persons has been in use for centuries, since Middle English at least. (We may know this shooter is male, so yes “he” would be correct too in this case, but a generic shooter could be a he or a she, so “they” is correct and easier than always saying “he or she”.) The OED pegs the first known written use to 1375, so its probably been around even longer. This is not the grammatical hill to die on, or even need to weep over.
You put down almost 100 words defending this nonsese, which doesn’t even apply here. Yes, language is flexible. Yes, “they” is fine when you don’t know. But we know!
I write and edit for a living. JFC, the shooter is a “he.”
I spent 42 years as an editor for a major international publishing company. The above usage of “they” would have never been approved in my tenure. It’s someone else’s problem now. Please note that the role of dictionaries is to report on language usage, not prescribe it.
The original point is, I wonder if the construct was purposefully used because they also know the shooter thinks he is a she.
And whom is left to weep over the many other butcherings… I have to admit the who/whom grates terribly. It looks like “they” have just completely deleted the use of “whom”
Good grammar has went.
Dog bites man.
Why should we EVER expect anything else. As long as THEY are in control …
Free them from what idiot? The fact they made their bed like so many losers on the left.
Everybody shouts free Palestine, not particularly this guy. You just have to be suggestible.
Shut up, racist man-child, adults are talking.
No matter how much you hate the media, it’s nowhere near enough
FCC regulations require the NBC, ABC, CBS and Fox to operate in the public interest. Failing to tell the truth is failure to operate in the public interest. Bring the head of the NBC news division before the telecom committee and put him on record as to why.
Sadly, so they can all pooh-pooh it and do nothing? Maybe it will give someone some info to actually do something,…maybe?
What I don’t understand is why he started out with “the children are safe.” Is that a political slogan I’m unaware of?
According to leftist woke narrative, muslims and trannies are now to be considered protected classes.
Brett kavanaugh would be assassin is now claiming to be trannie, but that news is disappearing down the memory hole.
A shame no one attending the wedding was carrying a firearm when this loon opened fire. It would have been genuine justice to see him taken out.
How do you know nobody was?
Who sponsors the shows? Who advertises in the newspapers?
Giving the sponsors a rest from having to provide products for me to buy from them sends a very powerful message. It quickly cost Kimmel his show, cost Anheuser-Busch a bundle, and generally seems to be a persuasive way to modify behaviors.
Boycott the sponsors and watch what changes. This stuff works. Vote with your wallets.
