Marco Rubio Offers No Apology for Strike on Drug Cartel Vessel: ‘It’ll Happen Again’

“These are not stockbrokers. These are not real estate agents who, on the side, deal a few drugs. These are organized, corporate, structured organizations who specialize in the trafficking of deadly drugs into the United States of America”

Marco Rubio 2.0 continues to impress. While speaking in Mexico this week, the Secretary of State made no apologies for the recent strike on a drug cartel vessel headed for the United States.

Rubio noted that the old policy of deterrence does not work and made it clear that this can and will happen again if necessary.

FOX News reports:

Rubio promises more strikes on Venezuelan cartels: ‘We’re not going to sit back anymore’

Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Wednesday defended President Donald Trump’s strike on a drug cartel-operated vessel off of Venezuela and vowed the U.S. will no longer “sit back” when it comes to “nacro-terrorism.”

In response to questions about the Marine strike Tuesday that hit a vessel in the southern Caribbean Sea while allegedly carrying members of Tren de Aragua smuggling narcotics headed for the U.S., Rubio said, “We’re not going to sit back anymore and watch these people sail up and down the Caribbean like a cruise.”

The strike apparently killed 11 members of the group, which was designated a terrorist organization in February, and marked a significant shift from the U.S.’s previous seize-and-apprehend policy when countering international gang networks.

“The president of the United States has determined that narco-terrorist organizations pose a threat to the national security of the United States. I don’t need to explain to you why,” Rubio said, noting that the group is known to traffic not only drugs, but arms and people.

“These are not stockbrokers. These are not real estate agents who, on the side, deal a few drugs. These are organized, corporate, structured organizations who specialize in the trafficking of deadly drugs into the United States of America,” Rubio said. “They pose an immediate threat to the United States. Period.”

The Democratic Party’s most reasonable member is once again making more sense than anyone else on the left.

Professor Jacobson recently commented on Rubio.

Rubio at State has been a truly pleasant surprise. He is such a natural fit in this role.

The Democrats will search until they find a District Court Judge to enjoin such actions without full due process.

They’ll add women and children to the crew.

While Trump 1.0 was impressive, Trump 2.0 is more so because his appointments are on the same page as he is. Also. Marco Rubio has become outstanding in his role of Secretary of State, ditto Hegseth, Bessent, Zeldin, Noem and Gabbard. I am less impressed by Bondi and Patel.

exactly right!

our own leftist in government destroy our own people

around the world the lefty agenda is the same

act like you are for equality etc but in reality

destroy freedoms
destroy lives
support the criminals
by any means necessary

Rubio was simply a great pick by #47 for SoS, and, later, National Security Advisor. Such a welcome change to have someone in this role demonstrating integrity, intelligence, realpolitik and assertive attitudes, in contrast to his Dhimmi-crat predecessors’ collective and perennial naivete, stupidity, gullibility, vanity, appeasement of and kowtowing to Islamofascists/Muslim terrorists and narco-terrorists.

Rubio’s unanimous Senate confirmation — an astounding feat, in these politically divided times — shows that even the evil, stupid and subversive Dhimmi-crats acknowledge that he is immensely qualified for the job. And, with each passing day, he continues to demonstrate why, and, to reward #47’s confidence in him.

I don’t want to get into a Vance vs. Rubio debate. These are two incredibly smart, affable and accomplished men, and the GOP is lucky to have them as heirs-apparent, compared to the ridiculous clown car of incompetents, narcissists, demagogues and subversives who are on the Dhimmi-crat side.

Vance-Rubio in 2028 would be an unstoppable ticket.

They are also close friends, so, frankly, I doubt they’d run against each other for the nomination. One would step aside and endorse the other, wholeheartedly, from the get-go.

“First Hispanic President” would seem to come with a million or more extra votes in the general election. Could this be the Republicans opportunity to turn the Dems importing tens of millions of illegals on its head and capture the Hispanic vote? I also see Rubio as more charismatic, which is desirable in succeeding Trump and appealing to young people.

I think that Hispanic Americans who lean conservative are — to their credit — beyond falling sway to crass notions of ethnic pandering/solidarity, as practiced by the vile Dhimmi-crats. They don’t need Rubio at the top of the ticket, in order to vote for the GOP.

Also, Vance is incredibly charismatic, in my view. He oozes genuine charm and affability; as does Rubio. The two of them, paired together, in whatever hierarchy, would be unstoppable.

I agree with the Vance-Rubio ticket. Rubio is still young enough to run for Prez after 8 years of Vance.

I liked Rubio when he first ran for Prez as I said before. Hearing Rubio, Cruz, and Paul debate was great. I don’t always agree with him but that’s fine.

Golly gee whiz, imagine using the military forces of the USA in our own hemisphere to combat the decades long near impunity these narcoterrorist organizations have operated under. It’s almost as if the WH is putting the safety and security of the American People ahead of other considerations in other places around the world.

It appears the Monroe Doctrine was forgotten for a long time. Now if we can only get the F’g chinese and the wannabe Iranians and Norks out of our hemisphere.

Meanwhile the number of problem states in the western hemisphere is growing Cuba, Venezuela, Columbia, and I would put Brazil in the category, Mexico is a different type of problems. Others too.

Five Republicans in the House joined Democrats Wednesday to block an effort to censure Rep. LaMonica McIver, D-N.J., over a confrontation with immigration officers in her district.

its one thing to stop the narco state the dems support

but what about the violent prone blmplo armies that rule not only american streets but the political powers of our cities and congress???

I hope they do it another dozen times, or more, until the cartels understand that there’s a new sheriff in town, and that the new sheriff will kill them.

Now do Facebook Headquarters! 🙂

The Chinese fishing fleets who turn off their transponders at night and sneak out of international waters to poach other countries’ stock need a similar rude awakening.

As a high school student in the 60’s, drugs started to come on scene and has grown exponentially ever since. Nothing the police or the government has been doing has been effective in stopping it. It is about time that we try a new approach because it is destroying the country. While naive people scream “due process”, they forget that these people are not US citizens physically located in the country and as such, they do not fall under the our constitution. They thumb there nose at our laws so I see no reason why we should play nice with people who refuse to reciprocate. I am all for blowing up the drug boats without due process. Neville Chamberlain tried it with Hitler and you see where it got him. After 65 years of trying to play nice, it is time to take the gloves off.

These narcotraficantes ae heavily armed, mounting what can easily be called “invasions” bringing amed combatants and illegal poisons for distribution within the USA. Never mind they ae sanctioned/suppoted by no government they constitute a band of foreign combatants.
About time OUR guys begin dealing with them based on the actuality of their true nature,

I don’t give a rip what flag they fly., repelling foreign invades is a key role of military . Glad they are on task. Mat many more hostile bottoms pay a visit to Davey Jpnes. One way ticket.
