Mamdani Versus the Statue of Liberty
Waiting for a natural course-correction and a pendulum swing after radicals have already taken power is tantamount to playing Russian roulette with America’s future.
Both conservatives and classical liberals appear shocked by the high percentages of support that the latest polls predict for Zohran Mamdani, despite his openly Marxist, socialist, and Islamist views.
In a podcast titled “NYC’s Whiny Brats Pick a Mayor,” Ben Shapiro provides a deeper insight into some of the reasons for this seemingly surprising trend. Shapiro notes that most of Mamdani’s supporters are rather young, spoilt, and indoctrinated to hate American and Western values. To them, a politician like Mamdani, who grew up with all the privileges of “left caviar” elites, has never held a serious job, and proudly occupies a rent-controlled apartment, may be someone to emulate.
Shapiro further explains that New York City has become the seat of numerous nonprofit and government jobs, which are tipping the balance in favor of radical policies. Despite the dismal polls and shifting realities, however, there may still be reason for cautious hope.
Kevin O’Leary recently remarked on Fox Business that Mamdani would get “drop-kicked” by the Statue of Liberty, since his agenda is fully antithetical to the American Dream. O’Leary elaborated:
We are talking quasi-socialism, communism here. This is not in the vibe, heart, and essence of the DNA of New York…. The American Dream, capitalism, making it happen for the family, that is the essence of New York. I think that this guy is going to get “drop-kicked” by the Statue of Liberty.
Marxist, socialist, and communist ideologues follow precepts like the ones in Saul Alinsky’s playbook Rules for Radicals. Such rules aim at training community organizers to assume disproportionate influence, manipulate and displace moderate voices, and usurp control, as revealed by the current split in the Democrat Party between radicals who hate America and old-school moderates, who continue to cede ground.
While history and generational wisdom may suggest that sooner or later people will wake up and common sense will prevail, we cannot passively hope for the triumph of good over evil. People’s political choice is often determined by completely irrational factors, emotion, ignorance, and wishful thinking.
Waiting for a natural course-correction and a pendulum swing after radicals have already taken power is tantamount to playing Russian roulette with America’s future. A case in point is provided by all the hard work and long-term effort needed to undo the damage inflicted by DEI and other woke absurdities on our education, culture, and businesses.
We should try instead to first win the short-term battles of upcoming elections – in New York City and elsewhere – by preventing power grab by radicals. We need to use any lawful means available – from continually exposing the extreme dangers posed by today’s socialist and Islamist alliance to strategizing and uniting behind a non-radical opposing candidate who is most likely to succeed. Striving for success in the short-term battles should be combined with a continued aspiration to win the war for preserving the West, by neutralizing and dismantling the nefarious dominance of anti-American ideology in our culture and education.
Martin van Buren reportedly stated: “It’s easier to do a job right than to explain why you didn’t.” Using lawful means, such as political strategy, proper education, and public persuasion to prevent a radical like Mamdani from seizing control of the largest American city, will make it not only easier to restore the American Dream but render it possible at all, before it becomes much too late. The time for “drop-kicking” pernicious ideologies is now.

Better not to ever know what kind of mayor he’d be, than to hope he becomes an object lesson.
I expect Mamdani will get elected mayor of NYC. While he lacks a formal endorsement, Obama certainly approves of him. What about the Jewish vote? The polls are grim. A Zenith Research and Public Progress Solutions poll found that 43% of likely Jewish voters support Mamdani, Zenith says 67% of Jewish voters aged 18 to 44 said they would vote for him. Ouch! I have no idea of the quality of these polls. His support among Jewish voters should be zero. Of all the ethnic groups, I think American secular and Reform Jews are the most gullible. I was born, raised, educated, and employed in NYC. My family was Jewish along with the majority of my friends and co-workers. I know my New York Jews, and when it come to matters political they become irrational and vote against their own interests.
So what happens when wealthy New Yorkers flee? The city and state governments fearing revenue loss will try to stop them. Probably with some kind of exit tax. The smart money should leave now, but I suspect it won’t. NYC could become another Detroit.
“NYC could become another Detroit.”
In my book, that train already left the station.
While I agree that barring some unforeseen development, Mamdani is going to win, I feel obligated to point out that poll showing him with 43% of the Jewish vote is a clown poll. The organizations that put that poll out are FAR leftwing advocacy groups. It’s like Media Matters and the Democrat-Socialists putting out a poll. No one would nor should believe such a poll.
Republicans want Mandami to win. He will be the face of the Dem party during the midterms. Hes better than any redistricting plan.
Mandami will win because Cuomo and Adams simply couldn’t keep their ego in check.
The real dumb ones are the corporate elite that will stay in New York after the election.
Newscum isn’t enough as the “face” of the of the Drama Party?
Hold Bad Tenants Accountable.
I really dislike his sh1t eating grin.
It’s Russian roulette with 5 bullets loaded for a lot of New Yorkers. The 43% of “Jewish” voters are fighting to load the sixth bullet.
More like Russian Roulette with a semi-auto.
I’m old enough to remember seeing the live and unedited coverage of the 9/11 attacks, the 2nd plane hitting, the jumpers hitting the pavement and other horrors.
That my friends is what Islam is – murdering those who do not submit to the prophet – something that was true 1,500 years ago, in 2001, and today. Make no mistake that this guy would be dancing in the streets if it happened again.
As if NYC wasn’t enough of a dystopia right now just wait until this time next year, and the year after that.
I believe the cops that say they’re out the moment this Islamist is elected. As will many others. The flight out of the city will be shocking.
And I’ll be damned if one cent of my tax dollars is used to clean up the mess.
“And I’ll be damned if one cent of my tax dollars is used to clean up the mess.”
You won’t have any say in the matter. Nor will any other taxpayers.
I don’t see how the stock exchange could possibly remain in a city with a communist mayor.
It’s clear that corporations will move away from unfriendly business climates, which is why American Airlines is now headquartered in Texas along with Caterpillar and Boeing moved to Virginia. There have been a dozen major, highly-valuable publicly traded companies that have fled Chicago. And with Chicago having a Communist mayor for the last three years, the business climate has only worsened. But, there hasn’t been any indication that the CME Group (Chicao Commodities Exchange) has been looking at moving. I’m not sure what’s keeping that Exchange in Chicago. Whatever it is, that same dynamic might work to keep the NYSE in New York. NASDAQ, however, would be a MUCh easier move because it’s essentially a virtual exchange.
yeah…you have your choice
a bonafide self hating socialist pos
or a na zi who sends people to their “retirement” and is applauded and defended by the leftists
way to go gop for allowing the destruction of this once proud nation
With all due respect, without a single dominant culture, we are doomed anyway, and there’s nothing anyone can do about it, so, unless you want to blame them for that, then…..
In my opinion, Mamdani will win, but that might not be the end of the story for NY. I think that voters will have “buyer’s remorse” in advance of the 2026 NY Governor’s election. The NY governor has the power to remove the NY City mayor under a specific process. Hochul did not beat Zeldin by much last time. I think this power to remove the mayor might put a good Republican challenger over the top – perhaps Stefanik, who seems to be polling well.
