Elizabeth Warren Announces Support for Zohran Mamdani, Surprising No One

“Oh dear, are you worried that billionaires are going to go hungry?”

Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) announced her support for New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani yesterday, suggesting that he is offering solutions and that this is the Democratic message.

None of this is surprising. Warren has always had one foot in the Bernie Sanders/AOC wing of the party. She is also always eager to be out in front of whatever the party’s far left base is embracing at any given time.

From Politico:

‘Talk about affordability’: Warren boosts Mamdani as model for Democratic victory

Elizabeth Warren doesn’t have a problem with Zohran Mamdani being the face of the Democrats. In fact, she wants the rest of the party to follow his example on affordability.

The progressive senator from Massachusetts swung by New York City on Monday to pay homage to Mamdani, who overwhelmingly won the Democratic nomination for mayor in June — but still hasn’t secured endorsements from many of New York’s party leaders.

“Come talk about affordability for families,” Warren said at an affordable childcare event, when asked to respond to the democratic socialist’s many detractors. “This is who Democrats fight for, and Zohran is on the front lines in that fight out there fighting for families.”

Asked if Mamdani is what the Democratic Party should look like, the senator responded with an emphatic and signature “you bet.”

See the clip below:

Warren also talked about Mamdani during an appearance on CNBC, but got some pushback from host David Faber.

FOX News reports:

CNBC host David Faber battled Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., over raising taxes in New York City and Democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani’s economic policy proposals on Monday in a fiery back and forth.

“You mentioned Mamdani and you are in New York sort of speaking on behalf of him to a certain extent,” Faber said on CNBC’s “Squawk on the Street.” “New York does not operate in a vacuum. It competes with other cities. And so this idea of somehow raising taxes on the wealthiest New Yorkers, who, by the way, would point out pay roughly 15 percent of their income right now between city and state. Raising taxes on them will simply drive them away.”

“Shouldn’t the focus of a mayor be on delivering services to the constituents of the city and doing that by raising the most revenue as possible without chasing businesses and the high-income taxpayers out of the city?” he asked. “Because they can go to Austin. They can go to Dallas. They can go to Atlanta. They can go to Nashville. This is your issue. It’s a national issue, not a local issue.”

Warren argued the issue was affordability and argued New Yorkers can’t afford groceries or housing in the city, as Faber agreed that affordability was a problem but pushed back and asked, “But raising taxes in order to do it – why is that the answer?”

“Oh dear, are you worried that billionaires are going to go hungry?” Warren mockingly responded.

She apparently is one drop Muslim terrorist

The American Indian endorses the African American!

She did a rain dance and gave the medicine man/medicine woman blessing. The only thing missing was the sacred pipe and blowing of smoke.

Gives the phrase “Red/Green Axis” a fresh new palette!
Me, I want to know how she made a Muslim smoke her peace pipe.

Revolting and contemptible.

Two utterly wicked, lazy, stupid, phony, private sector-avoiding demagogues, hustlers, posers and narcissists.

Fauxcahontas and the Indian-African Islamofascist/Muslim supremacist/neo-communist. Two vile and wretched peas in a pod, perfectly representative of the contemporary Dhimmi-crat Party’s descent into pure evil.

Comparing Warren and Mamdani to utterly wicked, lazy, stupid, phony, private sector-avoiding demagogues, hustlers, posers and narcissists is an insult to utterly wicked, lazy, stupid, phony, private sector-avoiding demagogues, hustlers, posers and narcissists everywhere. /sarc

He’s making sure she’s not hiding a beer.
Though it would have to be in something like a juice pouch.

This dude is very likely to be elected which even for the NYC electorate is Cray Cray. The lasting damage to NYC from electing this guy as Mayor is incalculable. For NYC residents sake I hope they reject him but if not then his tenure as Mayor will almost certainly be a disaster that exposes the folly d/prog policy preferences and acts as a lasting albatross hindering d/prog candidates and d/prog officials for years. (In Red and Purple jurisdictions anyway …in blue jurisdictions mileage may vary)

This is the lane open to Democrats and apparently they will take it. Kind of makes it treacherous going for supposedly moderate Democrats. All the makings of an internal civil war between pink and red/green.

That Mamdani is accepting the endorsement of a discredited liar and fraud tells you everything you need to know about his judgement, or total lack thereof.

It’s not just the rich who’ll be leaving NY. If I was a city cop, I’d be looking for a job elsewhere. Someplace where my work was appreciated and not demonized by who is essentially, my boss.

Also, why would ANYONE outside of Mass. care what the faux Cherokee Squaw has to say about it.

“Oh dear, are you worried that billionaires are going to go hungry?” Warren mockingly responded.

——————————

They won’t go away hungry. They will simply go away and take their considerable wealth with them, likely to a state with no income tax such as Texas, Tennessee, or Florida. Will the New York socialists learn from the experience? Probably not. So much for the stereotype of New Yorkers being knowledgable and intelligent.

Sorry, Milhouse. /s

The NY Post had a great headline about this. Loosely quoting: African American Meets Native American “.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) tries to defend bringing communism to New York City.

D-MA not D-NY.

What is her interest in a district she does not represent?

Paula in reply to Paula. | August 5, 2025 at 1:10 pm

Paula: “Sen Warren, I read that ‘Massachusetts is facing several significant issues, including high healthcare costs, transportation challenges, and a wide income inequality gap. Additionally, the state is grappling with issues related to education, such as affirmative action in college admissions, and a public defender shortage.'”

Slippery Indian Maiden: “Not my problem. NY NY NY NY NY NY!”

Hanging with antisemites. How nice.

God I hate that loon.

finally the “Secret” that dem voters hated to hear said outloud by one of their proud moderate dems:

we are radical anti semites and love communism and the nazziiiis who sent you to the gasss chambers

Oh Good, Let the Dems break NYC completely. Like California’s industry, when wealth leaves, there’s more for the rest of the country. The key is to isolate Dem centers from pulling the rest of us down.

Dean Robinson | August 6, 2025 at 10:30 am

California and NYC are simply serving as the canaries in the socialist coal mine. We get to watch what inevitably happens to societies that are suckered into this failed ideology, and their decline and eventual collapse will serve as a warning klaxon to those who are about to head down that treacherous slope, but still have some rationality remaining.

The problem is that the rest of the country may go under as it tries to save NY & CA from themselves ~ like a rescuer trying to save a drowning man who pulls them both under.

The first move is a good knockout punch before dragging the victim to shore.
