Zohran Mamdani won the Democrat nomination to run for NY City Mayor. His win has created a panic.

Are people right to be panicked?

So everybody is in a panic that Zohran Mamdani won the Democratic primary for the New York City mayor’s race. And there deserves to be something of a panic, because it’s not just him it symbolizes something I’ve been warning Legal Insurrection readers about for a decade: what’s called the Red-Green Alliance. It’s the alliance of the extreme far-left and the Islamists, and they get together and they join forces, and they’ve been doing it for years. We’ve been seeing this play out most prominently on the campuses, where people who have nothing in common get together to hate the United States, to hate Israel, and to hate Jews more than anybody. And that’s what we’re seeing play out with him.Be cautious of this guy.He was the founder at his campus of Students for Justice in Palestine—an absolutely vile anti-Israel group which has wrecked havoc on campuses everywhere. He supported and supports the boycott of Israel. He considers himself anti-Zionist, and he has announced that after this victory, he’s not going to give up his beliefs. He is smooth. He knows how to play people. He’s out of the AOC mold of being highly manufactured, but don’t take him lightly. He is the epitome of what’s happening in this nation—that people who, at their core, dislike this country, at their core hate capitalism, at their core hate the United States of America, put on a show to pretend that they’re something they’re not.Repeat the words: Red-Green Alliance. Every time you hear him, think about Students for Justice in Palestine. Think about the boycott of Israel. This guy is not what he’s pretending to be. He’s much worse. And people are right to be worried about him—not just as the mayor of New York if he gets that position, but what it represents about the Democratic Party: that such a person can rise to the top. That what it represents about how the campus anti-capitalist, anti-American movement has moved into a major political party.Red-Green Alliance. You have been warned.
