Israel Eliminates Hamas Co-Founder and October 7 Mastermind Hakham Muhammad Issa Al-Issa

The Jerusalem Post: As “a co-founder of the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades’ military academy, he led the training of thousands of terrorists and influenced the structure of the military wing.”

In a major blow to Hamas, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), on Friday, eliminated the terrorist group’s co-founder and one of the masterminds of the October 7 massacre, Hakham Muhammad Issa Al-Issa, in northern Gaza.

The Israeli military, assisted by the country’s Shin Bet security service, “struck and eliminated the terrorist Hakham Muhammad Issa Al-Issa in the area of Sabra in Gaza City. Hakham Muhammad Issa Al-Issa was a senior figure in Hamas’ military wing and was considered one of the founders of the terrorist organization,” the IDF announced Saturday.

“His current role was Head of Combat Support Headquarters in Hamas’ military wing,” the IDF disclosed. “In the past, Issa led Hamas’ force-buildup efforts in the Gaza Strip, was one of the founders of its military wing, served as Head of the Training Headquarters, and was a member of Hamas’ General Security Council.

The top Hamas operative was responsible for training thousands of jihadists, creating the Islamic terrorist group’s core fighting force. As “a co-founder of the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades’ military academy, he led the training of thousands of terrorists and influenced the structure of the military wing,” The Jerusalem Post reported Saturday.

He was one of the key planners and executioners of the October 7 massacre. With his elimination, Hamas lost another top leader since the war began more than 20 months ago.

“Issa played a significant role in the planning and execution of the brutal October 7th massacre,” the military disclosed. He “was a key source of knowledge and one of the last remaining senior Hamas terrorists in the Gaza Strip who held high-ranking positions before October 7th, 2023.”

Al-Issa was leading terrorist operations against the Israeli military in Gaza and rebuilding Hama’s fighting force destroyed in the wake of the ongoing war. “Throughout the war, and over the past few days, Issa served as Head of the Combat Support Headquarters, and advanced aerial and naval terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF troops operating in the Gaza Strip,” the IDF added. “Simultaneously, Issa operated to rebuild Hamas’ organizational systems that were damaged during the war.”

IDF orders evacuation as Gaza operation set to ‘intensify’

The news comes as the IDF issued new evacuation orders for northern Gaza ahead of an intensified military operation, media reports suggest.

“The Israeli military ordered Palestinians to evacuate areas in northern Gaza on Sunday before intensified fighting against Hamas,” Reuters reported.

With Hamas refusing to negotiate the release of the remaining hostages, Israel is reportedly considering a new offensive in Gaza.

According to The Jerusalem Post on Sunday, “Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to hold a high-level discussion on Sunday with Defense Minister Israel Katz and IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Eyal Zamir to evaluate the next steps in the Gaza Strip, including potential steps to embark on a wider military operation differing from previous offenses, according to defense sources.”

Shin Bet: 60 Hamas terrorists nabbed in West Bank operation

Israel’s Shin Bet security agency busted a large Hamas cell in the West Bank, thwarting impending terror attacks. Nearly 60 terrorists were arrested in a counter-terrorism operation, which the Israeli media described as the largest raid of this scale since the October 7 attack.

The Shin Bet uncovered weapons and explosives, as well as terror tunnels for hiding weaponry and terrorists.

The Times of Israel reported Shin Bet’s statement:

The Shin Bet security agency said Sunday that it had arrested over 60 Hamas operatives over the past few months as part of one of the largest crackdowns on a West Bank terror network in recent years.

In a statement, the agency said that in the past three months, during joint operations with the IDF and police, “a significant, complex, and large-scale Hamas infrastructure was exposed in Hebron,” with those involved accused of planning a variety of types of attacks “in the immediate time frame.”

“This is the largest and most complex investigation by the Shin Bet in the Judea and Samaria area in the past decade,” a senior Shin Bet official said in the statement, referring to the West Bank.

The Shin Bet said its interrogations found that senior Hamas operatives from the Hebron area, most of whom were formerly jailed by Israel, “worked to recruit, arm, and train additional Hamas operatives from the area to carry out shooting and bombing attacks against Israeli targets.”

“It was also revealed that members of the infrastructure conducted firearms training, gathered intelligence on Israeli targets, manufactured explosive material, and assembled explosive devices, all with the aim of carrying out major attacks on behalf of Hamas” in the West Bank and in Israel, the agency said.

Lebanon: Hezbollah’s Radwan intelligence chief killed in IDF strike

With the IDF, in recent days, intensifying its activities against terrorist buildup in southern Lebanon, the intelligence chief of Hezbollah’s Iranian-trained Radwan Forces was eliminated in a targeted strike.

On Saturday morning, “the IDF struck and eliminated the terrorist Abbas Al-Hassan Wahbi in the area of Mahrouna in southern Lebanon. Wahbi was responsible for intelligence in Hezbollah’s ‘Radwan Force’ Battalion,” the military said.

“The terrorist was involved in efforts to rebuild Hezbollah and weapons transfers. These activities constitute a blatant violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon,” the IDF statement noted.

The IDF also took out Hezbollah’s anti-tank commander in a southern Lebanon strike. “On Saturday, the IDF struck and eliminated the terrorist Hassan Muhammad Hammoudi in the area of Kounine in southern Lebanon,” The Israel National News website reported. “Kounine was responsible for Hezbollah’s anti-tank missile array in the Bint Jbeil sector.”

“During the war, the terrorist directed numerous anti-tank missile attacks toward Israeli territory,” the IDF said in its statement.

It’s amazing. Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran have as many commanders as we have generals and admirals. Is anyone in HHI not a commander?? Doesn’t matter! KILL THEM ALL!!!

CNN has information from an anonymous classified source that he was only partially eliminated.

If Hakham Muhammad Issa Al-Issa really was involved in training thousands of terrorists, maybe he should have been eliminated a long time ago. Just a thought.

Is it just me or do all of these Hamas commanders look the same? It’s like they grow them in vats. I swear Israel has eliminated the same guy like twelve times.
