Former Democratic Adviser Says Party Has No Agenda Beyond Hating Trump
“We don’t have an agenda right now, and winning campaigns focus on the real lives of real people with effective leaders and something positive to say, and we have none of the above”

Dan Turrentine is a former adviser to the Democratic Party, and he had some tough words for his fellow Democrats during a recent appearance on Jesse Watters Primetime.
Turrentine pointed out that the party lacks an agenda and vision beyond hating Trump and suggested that this might be related to their recently reported fundraising troubles.
From FOX News:
Democrats must find a message beyond constant attacks on Trump and ICE, says former Dem advisor
Democrats have no real agenda beyond attacking President Donald Trump, said former party advisor Dan Turrentine, urging the party to go on the record and back the president against Iran instead of staying in the shadows.
“Our party is almost as divided, to some extent, as the Republican Party is right now, and I think they’d rather, unfortunately, be talking about ‘kings’ than talking about Iran right now,” Turrentine said during an appearance on “Jesse Watters Primetime.”
“Israel is our ally. I mean, I know this issue has divided us for years here, the last couple of cycles between the Palestinians and the Israelis. But fundamentally, we have been opposed to Iran as a country now, going back to when they bombed the Marine barracks in the 70s or the early 80s.
“Our country should say… ‘We are with President Trump on this. If we’re going to go against the Iranians and try to knock out their nuclear program, it is to protect America.'”
“We don’t have an agenda right now, and winning campaigns focus on the real lives of real people with effective leaders and something positive to say, and we have none of the above,”
Going back to the 2024 election cycle, “The Morning Meeting” co-host said Democrats failed to see the writing on the wall after their strategy of branding Trump as a “dictator” and repeatedly working to remind voters of Jan. 6 failed.

Turrentine is a regular contributor to Mark Halperin’s 2Way program, and during a recent episode, they discussed the problems with leadership at the DNC. This is fascinating. Watch:
The new chair of the Democratic National Committee, Ken Martin, is being called “weak,” “whiny” and “invisible,” according to Politico, and a New York Times piece says the DNC is “in chaos and desperate for cash.” The Times piece, says @SeanSpicer, “was brutal. I’ve enjoyed his commentary on 2way. The party let the far left run the show, and that only got worse under the great vacuator.
Their only silver lining is that party alignment will be fluid over the next decade as abortion and 2A rights are taken off the board for both parties.
The 2A wins are nearing completion, what motivates that group of voters after getting the W.
I disagree wholeheartedly. 2A wins haven’t even shown up on the board yet.
What the 2A crowd wants is the ATF abolished and the NFA repealed — the two big impediments to getting the fedguv to actually honor the 2A. All they have gotten so far is a tease for $200 off suppressor licenses (and maybe SBAs, but nobody believes it) that will almost certainly be kicked out of the final bill with a magician’s flourish… that, and a solid proposal to merge the ATF with the DEA, which nobody wanted, and which would be a total disaster for gun owners.
Meanwhile, the only tangible “wins” that have occurred is when gun owners themselves raise enough stink to inform the Trump DOJ that we are aware they are still pursuing some particular Biden-era gunshop prosecution or other, contrary to their election promises, and the public attention forces the DOJ to abandon it.
There is something about Dan Turrentine that makes me wonder why he is on Fox News so often. Is he trying to make MAGA supporters feel good, complacent, and let our guard down? Or is he a plant? I don’t know what it is, but he’s definitely a dorky kind of guy.

This is a short list off the top of my head. So they do have an agenda.
I forgot about Ukraine which the democrats seem to love and also China. Lots more to their agenda.
Putin has now declared that “all of Ukraine belongs to Russia,” and that “where the foot of a Russian soldier steps, that is ours.”
This is only happening because Trump and his supporters are saying that Ukraine started the war by invading Russia, and saying that the Ukrainians are Nazis, just like Putin says.
Yeah, that’s the ONLY reason, what people are saying. Mean tweets and TDS collide and produce predictable comments.
NOBODY is saying that, clown.
If Europe actually believed that Russia was this horrible existential threat, they can fund and fight this stupid forever war themselves.
The fact that they keep begging us for money shows they don’t actually believe it.
No, there are quite a few people on the right who think Ukraine is at fault for not laying down for Putin.
Shut up, retard. Quit mething around.
Come back when you can post on topic.
“Israel is our ally. I mean, I know this issue has divided us for years here, the last couple of cycles between the Palestinians and the Israelis. But fundamentally, we have been opposed to Iran as a country now, going back to when they bombed the Marine barracks in the 70s or the early 80s.”
At the end of the interview, Turrentine realized that his disconnect was actually due to the fact that he isn’t what a Democrat is anymore.
They have a power hungry agenda, just don’t want to have it out to the public.
They have taken to screaming the quiet parts out loud. I’d suggest they read the room, but am starting to wonder if any of them can read at all.
The d/prog gotta be willing to exile the extremists and tack back to towards the political center. Unfortunately they’ve allowed the Tranny weirdos, antifa, race hustlers, grievance grifters, antisemitic kooks and other assorted oddballs too much power. These folks transformed the d/prog party into a sick version of ‘the island of misfit toys’. Amputation is painful short term but is probably the only way to save this patient.
Democrats will gain increased credibility when they start to agree with Trump and 80% on some basic issues. Then maybe people will start to listen to their policies (bad as they are) in this age of common sense. Wher they are goes noweher an people seem increasingly tuned out. Still, they can do lots of damage before they become actual rejects.
As the Gibsons – Oberlin trial showed us, they are incapable of admitting that they were ever wrong, ever. Since they live by the blame game, at some point they are going to single out a weak link that is attracting too much negative attention, and then it will be like chumming for sharks. We should run a poll to see which faction will need to take the hit for the team. Given the multiple billion $$ loss in real estate value in downtown Portland, I suspect that antifa will take the hit, and we know how well they react to rejection.
The Marine barracks were bombed in ’83. Our issues with Iran predate that to when they took over the US Embassy in ’79 and kept hostages for over a year.
The fact that he refers to the incident without knowing the date is telling…
Climate change.
