Anti-Israel Mob Invades Library at Columbia Just Before Finals, NYPD Moves in and Makes Arrests
“More than 80 people have been arrested, all students at the university, NYPD sources told Fox News.”
Columbia University is not getting the message. Despite potentially losing hundreds of millions in federal funding, which is already causing layoffs, a masked mob of anti-Israel students stormed into a school library on Wednesday causing disruption and damage in the process.
It’s final exam time, so there were many students trying to use the library to study when this took place. Do they get any consideration?
The mob breezed past security on their way in, but security wouldn’t let them out unless they showed IDs and the NYPD was ultimately called in, and made arrests. This has been allowed to go on for way too long.

Hours after more than 100 masked anti-Israel agitators stormed the Butler Library at Columbia University in New York City, pushing past campus security as students prepared for finals Wednesday afternoon, college officials summoned the New York Police Department (NYPD) in an effort to subdue the unruly mob.
More than 80 people have been arrested, all students at the university, NYPD sources told Fox News.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was also monitoring the situation. If arrests were made, the suspects were to be fingerprinted to determine if any are non-citizens, Fox News has learned.
“Time to make a point,” one ICE source told Fox News.
Non-protesting students told Fox News that they were forced to stop studying for finals and leave the library.
Amid the chaos, the State Department warned foreign students about the consequences of breaking the law.
“Foreign university students in America have been put on notice: if you break the law or support terrorism in our country, we will revoke your visa. This administration will not tolerate noncitizens causing mayhem on our college campuses.”

Claire Shipman, the Acting President of Columbia, put out this statement:
I want to update the community on the latest information regarding the disruption at Butler Library. The individuals who disrupted activities in Butler Reading Room 301 still refuse to identify themselves and leave the building. Due to the number of individuals participating in the disruption inside and outside of the building, a large group of people attempting to force their way into Butler Library creating a safety hazard, and what we believe to be the significant presence of individuals not affiliated with the University, Columbia has taken the necessary step of requesting the presence of NYPD to assist in securing the building and the safety of our community.
Sadly, during the course of this disruption, two of our Columbia Public Safety Officers sustained injuries during a crowd surge when individuals attempted to force their way into the building and into Room 301. These actions are outrageous.
Individuals participating in the Reading Room 301 disruption were repeatedly asked for identification and to leave, and were repeatedly told that failure to comply would result in violations of our rules and policies and possible arrest for trespassing. We have been clear from the outset about applying our protocols and advising participants of the potential consequences of not complying. Requesting the presence of the NYPD is not the outcome we wanted, but it was absolutely necessary to secure the safety of our community.
Disruptions to our academic activities will not be tolerated and are violations of our rules and policies; this is especially unacceptable while our students study and prepare for final exams. Columbia strongly condemns violence on our campus, antisemitism and all forms of hate and discrimination, some of which we witnessed today. We are resolute that calls for violence or harm have no place at our University. We will continue to keep our community apprised as the situation evolves.
This is obviously going to keep happening until Columbia expels these cultists from the student body. They are not rational or reasonable and they will continue this type of activity until they are made to leave. Permanently.

Arrest, ID, charge,.prosecute, jail the guilty. Revoke any Visas and deport the foreign Students. Since Columbia can’t seem to do a very good job of screening Students to disqualify those with a penchant for violence and anti academic actions nor successfully end their illegal acts the Trump Admin should not renew any Student Visa authority for attending Columbia nor grant new ones until the violence ends and Columbia presents a workable plan to prevent/mitigate this.

Young people tend to to not consider long term consequences, pain would be the most effective way to teach them. That I why I often suggest rubber bullets. Those are for teaching from a distance, the billy club is excellent for close up education.
As a matter of jurisdiction, it will be interesting to see how these arrests play out. Who wins the struggle: Alvin Bragg, or the FBI and Tom Homan?
There’s no struggle. Bragg is in charge of state charges, which he won’t bring. The Acting US Attorney is in charge of federal charges, which he will surely bring if they seem warranted.

What does it matter. The DA will drop the charges as was done virtually everywhere or everytime. Columbia won’t do anything to the students/faculty. If ICE tries to lock them out a zillion dollars will be raised for them on gofundme and progressive DAs will block deportation. And everyone gets to virtue signal to their group. I would love to see some trust-fund-kids refuse to show their ID in a situation like this. The cops bungle the fingerprints so they don’t show up in the system. Oh, well! Well, I feel for the honest students who couldn’t access their library, but the “Roach Motel” ploy here was inspired, and long overdue.
