Trump Received 92% of Negative Coverage ABC, CBS, NBC in First 100 Days
The networks never provided a positive statement for Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth or the National Security Team.

The Media Research Center (MRC) found that in his first 100 days, President Donald Trump’s administration received 92% of negative coverage from ABC, CBS, and NBC.
The number is worse than that of Trump’s first administration.
MRC dissected 899 stories from the networks between January 20 and April 9:
■ The networks’ highly negative coverage of President Trump stands in stark contrast to the mostly (59%) positive coverage they provided Joe Biden four years ago.
■ While TV coverage of Trump’s last term was heavily focused on an array of personal controversies, this year’s coverage has mostly been about serious policy issues, led by tariffs (361 minutes), DOGE (310 minutes) and immigration (233 minutes).
■ The networks’ spin on Trump’s tariffs faced 93% negative coverage, while the DOGE cutbacks to government were greeted by 97% negative spin.
■ Even on immigration, the issue where the public gives the President his highest ratings, the networks’ spin was 93% negative. Out of nearly four hours (233 minutes) of evening news airtime devoted to immigration, these newscasts spent just 3.5 minutes letting viewers know just how much Trump has reduced border crossings.
■ Besides Trump himself, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. faced 89% negative press, DOGE’s Elon Musk was hit with 96% negative coverage, and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth received a unanimous 100% bad press from the networks.
The MRC did not include partisan sources.
When he came into office in 2020, former President Joe Biden had 59% positive coverage compared to 41% negative coverage.
I’m actually shocked the positive number wasn’t higher, but still a YUGE gap.
Of course, the media covered Trump more than Biden: “From January 20 through April 9, 2017, the networks saturated their newscasts with 1,900 minutes of Trump news; during the same time period this year, we tallied a massive 1,716 minutes of coverage. But in 2021, evening news viewers saw only 726 minutes of Biden coverage during these same weeks, less than half of the airtime devoted to either of the new Trump administrations.”
The networks also dumped on Elon Musk: “125 hostile comments, vs. just five supportive ones (or 96% negative spin).”
The networks never provided a positive statement for Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth or the National Security Team.

Comments
Considering their rapidly-declining popularity I’m convinced that 92% of their negative commentary fell upon less than 1% of the population, and 100% of the aforementioned commentary was consumed by those consumed with the scorge of TDS.
**scourge**
It’s complicated, but probably not. Yes, the viewership of their broadcasts has fallen off a cliff the last 25-years, getting worse with every passing year. BUT, the content aggregators that take those stories and repackage them on sites like Google and Apple news which are then fed to consumers on their phones and other electronic devices is still incredibly powerful. This is why the left lost their collective minds when Elon bought twitter, a global, widely used social media channel. It pierced (to some limited degree) their stranglehold on the news that people other than political junkies might consume (like FNC viewers) on a daily basis.
President Donald Trump’s favorability continued to dip as he reaches 100 days of a second term − and voters weigh in on his approach to issues like the economy and immigration.
Trump’s approval rating was 39% in a new poll from The Washington Post, ABC News and Ipsos released April 25. That’s down six percentage points from a similar survey released mid-February.
If you and your cherry-picked statistic says so.
Meanwhile, the reality is that he is even more popular than the same media that hid Biden’s decline is telling you.
“Trump’s approval rating was 39% in a new poll from The Washington Post, ABC News and Ipsos released April 25.”
LOL. WaPoo, ABC, and Ipsos.
🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
I’m surprised it’s even that high on those sites 😂😂
Given it’s mostly Democrats being polled, the results aren’t quite what Junior thinks they are.
Yet, the actual policies he’s pushing are popular with large majorities of the public.
If you are going to quote those biased polls, tell us what they were before Trump got elected. All of them were wrong!
What’s surprising about that when the people are being fed a constant barrage of anti-Trump “news”?
I consider that 92% a resounding endorsement of Trump.
This is why the Kool-Aid crowd never knows the truth.
Who is the Kool-Aid (BTW, it was Flavor Aid) crowd anyhow? Dems say it’s Repubs; Repubs say it’s Dems.
Jim Jones was a huge favorite of Dems / progressives, until he started to make them look bad. His ‘church’ was anti-Christian in a very Progressive way.
Just ask yourself which side still believes that the vaxx is safe and effective, Biden was sharp as a tack, and Kyle Rittenhouse killed three black people.
And Pete worked for Fox
These numbers include Fox?
I believe they’re only counting the over-the-air broadcast networks, ABC/CBS/NBC. These are the three networks that really drive coverage across the country (other than the NY Times) because they’re producing the national news stories that are syndicated to the local channels and aired as packaged content. So, if the big three do nothing but negative news, the chances that negativity is mirrored in the local news broadcasts are significant.
What do we say about the media? All together now.
You can’t hate them enough.
More biased coverage to come. The implementation of Real.ID after 20 years and many delays is gonna be a larger issue than some.may anticipate. Lots of opportunities to have sob stories and whining of frustrated folks refused boarding at airports and so on.
Then there’s the constant ‘drip, drip, drip’ doom and gloom of supply chain interruption as those very supply chains are reordered away from China and back to the USA or to more reliable Nations who don’t view themselves as hostile to the USA. As if the markets weren’t overvalued and in need of severe correction to lower prices. Speaking of correction… as real estate prices continue to unwind that’s bad news for lenders as they are finally forced to mark to market the fallen value of the underperforming loans/assets.
What seems to be happening IMO is Trump sparking all this to occur under manageable conditions early on in his term. The asset bubble was gonna burst anyway. By using tariffs he burst it on his terms so it becomes background noise to the reordering of the economic system instead of a separate event. Gonna be an interesting question to see if his gambit to remake the economic order can be mostly implemented and working towards recovery before the midterm elections.
92%? Those are rookie numbers. Gotta pump those numbers up.
Europe is going pro! Their numbers are closer to the magic 120!
They probably meant the “border crossings are down” report as a negative (look at how racist he is….).
To put the coverage in perspective
With Trump’s opponents he should be at close to majority approval not 39%.
With the Trump opponents Republicans should not be down 4% in the polls.
We are blessed with by far the most inept unhinged radical opposition in the history of American politics.
We are right now spending it all fighting to destroy the American Economy.
It’s people like you that have been conditioned by the mfm to think the way they want you to think 😂😂
Define what you mean by the economy. It sure as hell ain’t your 401K balance. I don’t understand your resistance to the notion of reinvigorated domestic US manufacturing and industrial base. Nor your opposition to the idea of removing trade barriers imposed by other Nations on our agricultural or forestry exports.
Other Nations have for decades applied protectionist barriers to US exports that harmed our broad middle class. The credentialed class, laptop class, govt bureaucracy, academia have been very insulated from harm. If finance, tech, entertainment take a hit in the short term while we increase the share of the economic pie for average workers that’s fine by me.

“South Carolina is #1 in the export sales of tires and a national leader of completed passenger vehicles.
With an economic impact of more than $27 billion, the automotive industry is now an integral part of the state’s economy. As a result, a wide range of leading companies in automotive manufacturing and production are based in South Carolina.
It all started in 1994, when the first South Carolina-made BMW rolled off the assembly line at the company’s Upstate manufacturing facility. More than two decades later, South Carolina has become a leader in automotive manufacturing. Our technically skilled workforce has made the Palmetto State the US export automotive leader in completed passenger vehicles. Moreover, the state also ranks first in both the production and export of tires, accounting for nearly one-third of the US market share.”
Just in case you despise South Carolina so need a different example of the American Economy on PLANET EARTH

“In 1993, Mercedes-Benz announced plans to open its only US assembly plant in Alabama. From there the road has been paved for auto manufacturers to take advantage of our competitive incentives and skilled workforce. Honda, Hyundai, Mazda-Toyota and an ever-expanding network of auto suppliers have made their home here, putting Alabama in the Top 5 nationally for automotive production and the No. 1 state for auto exports.”
What if you are deranged and despise both Alabama and South Carolina?
This is from the ai but I could confirm it is correct if you want to claim AI made it up you could see here it is all true https://nam.org/mfgdata/regions/mississippi/
“Mississippi’s manufacturing sector has seen significant growth over the years, with the state’s industrial development program initiated in 1936 aiming to “balance agriculture with industry”.
By 1965, industrial employment in Mississippi exceeded the number of agricultural workers for the first time.
Manufacturing continued to expand until the end of the 20th century, and despite a national trend of decline, it remained an important contributor to the state’s economy in the early 21st century.
In 2019, manufacturers in Mississippi accounted for 16.18% of the total output in the state, employing 12.54% of the workforce, with a total output of $18.46 billion in 2018.
By 2021, the sector’s contribution to the state’s total output had slightly decreased to 14.67%, but the total output had increased to $20.13 billion.
Mississippi’s manufacturing sector includes various industries such as upholstered furniture, automotive parts, lumber and wood-related products, processed foods, and shipbuilding.
The state has also seen growth in advanced manufacturing, aerospace, and automotive sectors, with cities like Tupelo and Columbus emerging as key hubs for innovation and manufacturing.
Educational institutions like Mississippi State University’s Raspet Flight Research Laboratory and the University of Southern Mississippi’s School of Polymer Science and Engineering play a crucial role in nurturing talent and driving research, ensuring a steady pipeline of skilled professionals for the industry.
Mississippi’s commitment to workforce development, exemplified by programs at Hinds Community College and other educational institutions, ensures that the manufacturing sector has access to a pool of highly trained individuals ready to meet industry demands.
Mississippi’s manufacturing sector has been a significant driver of economic growth, with $9.00 billion in manufactured goods exported in 2020, and $11.95 billion in 2021.
These exports help create jobs in the state and support the local economy.”
Now for actual manufacturing output of the United States (planet Earth on planet Navarro)
“The industrial output in America has significantly increased since 1950. According to the Federal Reserve’s Industrial Production Index, which measures real output for all facilities located in the United States, the current level of industrial production as of March 2025 is 103.89.
This index is normalized to 1947, where the value was set to 100. Therefore, the industrial output has more than doubled since 1950, reflecting substantial growth in manufacturing, mining, and utilities.
Despite the decline in manufacturing employment, the output has continued to grow, indicating increased productivity and efficiency in the sector.”
Here is ac hart so simple even Peter Navarro should be capable of reading it

No destroying the sector that employs 80% (what will happen if the tariffs aren’t eliminated before it is too late) can ONLY be defined as destroying the American Economy, and destroying peoples life savings with it is also destroying the American Economy.
It is especially egregious when the primary promise Trump made in the campaign was to deal with inflation day one. Trump ran against Bidenflation not on Trumpflation.
The same factory from decades past produces a lot more while employing many fewer people.
That is what technology does.
It used to be that you needed 9 people in farming per one person not in farming.
Now farming is 10% of the population.
Technology moves on, economies change.
Going to war with and shattering the current U.S. Economy in the name of bringing back something that never left America is at best madness.
EVERY indicator from the market is negative, and 70% of Americans see the horrific economic news the same way I do.
Nobody wants their well being to die for Illinois, least of all people in Illinois who are literally hostile to industry returning.
Instead of forever mourning for Illinois why cant’ we celebrate dozens of states that saw their industries rise from the ruins of Illinois as corporations accepted the reality that Illinois was business hostile and moved south? Why can’t we celebrate the fact that Mississippi went from third world country to first rate economy?
You know what is horrible for manufacturing?
MAKING EVERY PART BEING MANUFACTURED MORE EXPENSIVE
That is what tariffs do.
The auto industry literally had people selected to fire in preparation for Trump’s full tariffs and if the tariffs aren’t soon eliminated will be firing people and raising prices to deal with the supply line crisis being created.
That is a war with the American economy.
I prefer a great America over Autarky America.
Journo screeching. Reasonable people, which thankfully are still a majority in this country (always reasonable yet often misled), have learned to disregard it. The more they screech, the more people disregard it, so by all means keep screeching journos!
“We were deceived as to our own cognitive decline.” There ya go.
The media long ago crossed the line beyond which they are justified to worry about Republicans adopting Bill Clinton’s Rules of Engagement.
You have to understand that the mainstream American media regards President Trump as being worse than Osama Bin Laden. Nothing will keep them from attacking Trump regardless of what he does, good or bad.
It is what it is. The best we can do is to try to make their hypocrisy and bias too obvious for most people to ignore..
Subotai Bahadur
This is my surprised face…..really it is!
