Louisiana Sen. John Kennedy Roasts New ‘Democratic Party Leader’ AOC as Only He Can

Republican Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana is an absolute riot. Two nights ago, Sean Hannity interviewed a group of Republican senators to discuss a number of serious issues, but comments from Kennedy stole the show.
At the very end of the segment, Hannity asked Kennedy for his thoughts on the new leadership of the Democratic party. His response was pure gold.

Senator Kennedy absolutely destroyed Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who goes by the hip “AOC” nickname, in a savage verbal takedown on Tuesday night.
“What do you think of the new leadership: Jasmine, AOC, and Bernie,” FOX News’s Sean Hannity asked a panel that consisted of Kennedy, Senator Ted Cruz and others.
And just like Stockton to Malone, Hannity gave the alley-oop to Kennedy, who slam-dunked not a WNBA basketball, but an AOC one if you will.
“I consider AOC to be the leader of the Democratic Party… I also think she’s the reason there are directions on a shampoo bottle,” the Louisiana Republican Senator continued.
Mic drop. That’s all folks. Everyone go home. Nothing to see here. Class dismissed!

Ever since she burst onto the scene in 2018, AOC has been a thorn in the side of Democrat leadership and a major liability for the party’s brand. She is immensely popular with the party’s left-wing base but deeply unpopular with everyone outside of that group. She epitomizes why the leadership in both parties is secretly terrified of the primary process: candidates like AOC who win primaries by appealing to a majority of the primary electorate (which is itself a small portion of the general population) cannot win a general election.
It was for this reason that the Democrat establishment conspired against Bernie Sanders in 2016 and 2020. As unfair as Sanders’ treatment was, Democrat Party leadership was probably correct that he would have lost to Trump. (Although their chosen candidate in 2016, Hillary Clinton, lost to Trump anyway.)…
AOC may fire up TikTok and campus town halls, but it remains to be seen whether she can win over the people who actually show up in November — the working-class voters in Scranton, not just the activists in Brooklyn. While intra-party squabbles make for great headlines, they don’t often win elections.
AOC may be a social media star and a darling of the far left but her record as a lawmaker is basically invisible. What has she ever done for the people she was elected to represent?

I think Kennedy’s roast was hilarious, particularly the bit about “Operation Let Her Speak”. But since I believe that there is more than enough real idiocy coming out of Ocasio-Cortez – and because I believe in accuracy in general – I must ask, Where is your evidence that her net worth is nearly 10MM? A quick google search on the topic suggests she is not what I would call wealthy.

Auto correct. I meant “midwit” not “midwife”. I read that several weeks ago in an article on the net worth of those on the left and right that seemed to appear out of nowhere. I can’t remember where it was but I don’t peruse crank websites so it was a serious article. Might have been something to do with Pelosi’s stellar stock picking prowess.
