Kid Rock Says White House Meeting With Trump and Bill Maher Exceeded Everyone’s Expectations
“The president was asking him what he thought about policy going on with Iran and Israel and things. It just blew my mind. I was very proud.”

As we mentioned in a recent post, Bill Maher agreed to attend a dinner at the White House with President Trump in a meeting arranged by their mutual friend, Kid Rock.
Rock, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, appeared on FOX & Friends yesterday and described how things went at the dinner. He was extremely positive about it. One thing that surprised him is that despite donating to various Democrats over the years, Maher had never been invited to the White House before now.
FOX News reports:
Kid Rock says Bill Maher’s White House visit left everyone’s minds ‘blown’
For Trump ally Kid Rock, seeing Bill Maher — one of the president’s biggest critics — visit the White House to break bread on Monday “could not have been any better.”
“Everyone was so surprised, so pleasant,” he recalled on Tuesday’s “Fox & Friends.”
“The most shocking thing to me was, Bill’s obviously a very big liberal, been very hard on the president, but he’s donated a lot of money to other politicians – Biden, Clinton, Obama – [yet] he had never been to the White House, and the president was so gracious.”…
“I was like, ‘How about this? President Trump extending this olive branch…’” he continued.
“The president was asking him what he thought about policy going on with Iran and Israel and things. It just blew my mind. I was very proud.”
Kid Rock said he “one hundred percent” believes Maher walked away from the meeting with a newfound appreciation for Trump’s personality.
“Everybody’s mind was kind of blown… everyone was a little suspect about going into this,” Kid Rock shared.

During the visit, Kid Rock also had some fun playing a White House piano.

It’ll be fascinating to hear Bill Maher’s account of the event, which I imagine he will talk about on his show this Friday. I don’t expect him to don a MAGA hat, but I assume his version of the story will align with Kid Rock’s.

TY Mike..
I watched Bill’s show when I was much, much younger. Now, between his liberal guests and his disdain for anything Trumpian, I won’t give him 10 minutes.. But I can see him sitting in his chair, kinda scolding/chiding the audience, “you know, it wasn’t that bad”. He will keep it light, and funny, but there will be a kernel of truth, I hope. He is a die hard liberal, but not stupid. Time will tell.
Liberal and Stupid are synonyms.
Contemporary leftist liberal, definitely yes. Classical liberal like those who founded our country, definitely no. The change in definitions by the modern leftists can be irritating (gay, sweet) but if the words are assigned their true meaning they can take on a better message. Rush Limbaugh had a golden opportunity to correct this. I wish he had instead of doubling down on the leftist term.
.
I’ll see your “leftist instead of liberal” and raise you “fool instead of stupid”. Maher is not stupid. He has been brainwashed into foolishness. But if he rejects the brainwashing he might lose his livelihood.
I feel uneasy disagreeing with AF_Chief_Master_Sgt since he is a valuable commenter. His comment is directionally correct on this. “Foolish” doesn’t sound as bad as “stupid”, but it’s much worse.
Why thank you @gibbie.
And here I thought all this time I was being a thorn in the side of JR and transtesticle1156, as well as being contentious.
The liberal mindset that created this country no longer exists, at least in my 6 decades of life. Even in the Far Left to Far Right political sphere there are few politicians who believe in the “leave people alone” mentality.
You can’t own property without paying a government surcharge to keep it, even after the mortgage is paid.
You can’t open a shop to my your trade without paying a government surcharge through licensing, corporate taxes, fees, ad infinitum.
You can’t sell a product to another person, even if that person wants that product, without the government’s permission.
You can’t get married in the eyes of God without the government’s oversight and blessing.
Nope. Classic liberalism is non existent.
Maher, when confronted with facts, often behaves in a manner consistent with someone who is not married to carrying water for the Dem criminal enterprise.
His ability to turn words and thoughts into funny and usually accurate observations is a valuable force for changing culture.
I hated him when I was younger but I’m more open to his moments of sanity now.
When he savaged John Lott (“More Guns, Less Crime”) on his show just before taking a commercial to have the last word — then claimed a week later that he (Maher) was a “libertarian” — I concluded the man was either self-deluded or an outright liar. Whether I like the man or not, I could never trust him to be self-consistently honest.
Maher is the kind of libertarian that backs Nader and Bernie Sanders.
maher wouldnt be 1//1000 as wealthy now if he had toted anything but the lefty agenda
now with fu money its just a matter of how relevant he wants to stay and how “unbothered” he wants to be when venturing outside ifff he were to were the red hat
Depends on if the money came with strings and if he cares about keeping his show. Those will be big shapers of who he is regardless of the Maverick persona.
Watched Politically Incorrect when it first aired on Comedy Central. Great show.
Went downhill fast when it moved to broadcast.
And then it died and Maher’s show from that point became leftist garbage.
Same thing happened when The Daily Show, whose host was Craig Kilborn, became The Daily Show withJonStewart.
Craig put on a great show, entertaining and weirdly informative to all. Jon spewed –and spews– leftist garbage.
Will this visit have any effect on Maher? We’ll see.
maher will probably run in 2028 with stephan a smith for potus
Kid Rock. LAFFRIOT
Let’s face it- nobody cool wants to be associated with THE MORON
I’m sorry to hear that.
Have you tried Grindr Junyr?
Allegedly Maher pulled out a paper with a list of ‘mean things’ that Trump had said about him, and Trump took the paper and signed it.
Absolutely turbobased.
Well, now I know what Kid Rock looks like. Every other pic I’ve seen he’s wearing a big hat, shades, and a beard. I wondered if he was concealing his identity for some reason.
I like his politics, but his “music” – ugh!
