DOJ Files Lawsuit Against Maine for Allowing Males in Female Sports, Spaces

AG Pam Bondi: “If *ONE* young woman is in jeopardy – ONE – that’s enough for us to be standing up here. One.”

Attorney General Pam Bondi announced that the Department of Justice has filed a civil lawsuit against the Maine Department of Education for continuing to allow males in female sports and spaces.

In February, President Donald Trump signed an executive order that bans males from female sports.

Maine Gov. Janet Mills (D) decided not to follow law, even telling Trump, “We’ll see you in court.”

You got your wish, honey bunny.

Maine faces a lawsuit for “discriminating against women by failing to protect women in womens sports.”

Protect these girls:

“If *ONE* young woman is in jeopardy – ONE – that’s enough for us to be standing up here. One. No boy will be undressing in a girl’s locker room. No boy will be walking in a woman’s restroom. And NO boy, when we’re finished with this [lawsuit], will be beating young girls in sports! Many of them have trained since elementary school… they have trained their entire lives. Some of them have lost scholarships, lost regionals, lost state, because of BOYS. I don’t care if it’s one, two, 100 – it’s going to STOP, and it’s going stop in EVERY SINGLE STATE!”

The DOJ wants an injunction and have the state return sporting titles to the girls who won the competitions:

She is fuming – says she may RETROACTIVELY apply for past violations and CLAW BACK past federal funds.

“We are seeking to have the TITLES RETURNED to the women who rightfully won these sports.”

“This is about these young women’s PERSONAL SAFETY [as well]… what they have been through is HORRIFIC.”

She came with examples…
– Feb. 2024: Biological male competes in women’s cross country and ski races races in Maine, came in 1st in 5K that would’ve been *43rd* among men.
– Feb. 2025: Biological male wins 1st place in pole vaulting competition in Maine’s indoor track and field meet. He beat every other girl, qualifies for regional championships, taking a spot away from a woman.

“These boys are allowed to go in women’s DRESSING ROOMS and get fully naked and change – biological boys – in front of these young women!”

“They must not be reading the same Title IX we’re reading!”

Congress needs to amend Title IX in order to shutdown any activist judges.

If a word isn’t defined in a law and that word had a widely-understood meaning at the time the law was passed, that widely-understood meaning is the one that applies to the law.

Title IX was passed in 1972. Essentially no one in 1972 would have thought a man saying he was a woman was, in fact, a woman. Not even if he took female hormones and got his penis amputated.

Your post is offensive, detestable, and unacceptable on this forum. You’ve crossed the line—better stop before you regret it.

For the majority of the people in Maine’s 2nd CD, this is great news. Governor Mills, being your typical leftist, thinks that she and her party are untouchable and above the law. Hopefully she gets her comeuppance before the end of her final term as Gov.

Why do the d/prog continue their disdain of Civil Rights into the 21st Century….b/c they don’t care about them, all they care about is power and imposing their prejudice onto society.

“The issue isn’t the issue — the issue is state’s rights!”
I’m blessed to have lived long enough to watch Maine Democrats recapitulate Jim Crow Alabama.

These “trans” guys are stealing college scholarships.

That’s the key here, and I never see anyone talking about it.

Its not just that it is outrageously unfair and often physically unsafe, and people do note that there are HS girls that aren’t making teams they otherwise would.

BUT, here’s the big one: Girls teams with a boy do very well competitively, and that boy is the star. When he then applies for college, he’s getting an easy acceptance and then often a full athletic scholarship – that ought to have gone to a female athlete. When he gets to college, now he’s trapped himself – he has to keep up the pretense of he loses his scholarship.

Plus, he has plenty of motivation to keep up the pretense, because this beta-boy now has access to girl’s locker rooms and changes clothes and showers with the girls.

The whole thing is so obscene.

All of the teachers and school administrators, plus government officials, that not only allow this to happen but actively promote and celebrate it – they all belong in prison for a very, very long time. Ought to end up with sex offender felony records for making the girls change with the boys, and then they’d be prevented for life from ever working with kids again.

And don’t waste my time with the inadequacies of current law to address this. That’s a given. It needs to be fixed.
