DHS Identifies Two People Accused of Leaking ICE Raid Info to Public
“We plan to prosecute these two individuals and hold them accountable for what they’ve done, and we’re going to continue to do all that we can to keep America safe.”
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced the department identified two people accused of leaking information about ICE raids to the public.
Everyone, I wanted to give you a quick update. We have identified two leakers of information here at the Department of Homeland Security, who have been telling individuals about our operations and putting law enforcement lives in jeopardy.
We plan to prosecute these two individuals and hold them accountable for what they’ve done, and we’re going to continue to do all that we can to keep America safe.
We have identified criminal leakers within @DHSgov and are preparing to refer these perpetrators to the @TheJusticeDept for felony prosecutions.
These individuals face up to 10 years in federal prison.

We have seen numerous ICE raids lead to few arrests because either they tip off the subjects of the raid or the media about the raid.
Noem did not release any information about the individuals, what they leaked, and to whom.
DHS spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin told Fox News:
“We are preparing to refer these perpetrators to the DOJ for felony prosecutions,” she said. “These individuals face up to 10 years in federal prison. We will find and root out all leakers. They will face prison time, and we will get justice for the American people.”

I heard about this.. It was being referred to DOJ for possible charges. POSSIBLE??? Howz bout 5am raids on someone’s house, with the press conveniently on site? So far, this whole thing is a lot of talk.. that is how it looks from the cheap seats…
DHS can’t prosecute anyone. So they’re referring these people to DOJ, which can. Obviously DHS can’t say positively what DOJ will do; that’s up to DOJ. Thus, “for possible prosecution”. Maybe DOJ will say no, we can’t prosecute them, for such and such reason.
I hope this isn’t another Pam “here come the Epstein files!” Bondi type move.

A couple of years ago when her name was being bandied about as potential VP I had similar thoughts. Then I came to terms with this.
