Trump: ‘Let Hell Break Out’ if Hamas Doesn’t Free All Hostages by Saturday

President Trump: “Hamas will find out what I mean.”

Hours after Hamas halted further release of hostages, President Donald Trump warned that “all hell is going to break out” if the Gaza-based terror group did not free all Israeli captives by noon Saturday.

The call to resume the military operation in Gaza was Israel’s to make, but as far as he was concerned, “all bets are off” if Hamas refused to free the hostages languishing in its captivity for nearly 500 days, the President declared.

“As far as I’m concerned, if all of the hostages aren’t returned by Saturday at 12 o’clock, I think it’s an appropriate time. I would say, cancel it and all bets are off and let hell break out. I’d say they ought to be returned by 12 o’clock on Saturday,” President Trump warned.

President wanted all hostages to be released at once and not in tiny batches of twos and threes, as has been the case so far. “All of them, not in drips and drabs, not two and one and three and four and two.” he demanded. “We want ’em all back.”

President Trump issued the warning after witnessing the horrific condition of the three Israeli hostages released by Hamas last Saturday, aptly comparing the frail and emaciated hostages to the survivors of the Holocaust.

CNBC News reported the president’s remarks:

President Trump issued an ultimatum on Monday to Hamas, saying that if all remaining Israeli hostages are not released from Gaza by noon on Saturday, then “all hell is going to break loose.”

Asked by reporters for details on what that meant, Mr. Trump initially responded: “You’ll find out, and they’ll find out, too. Hamas will find out what I mean.”

He then said ending the ceasefire that took effect on January 19 would be “Israel’s decision,” but that he felt it would be “appropriate” to cancel the agreement if the hostages aren’t released by his deadline. (…)

Defense Minister Israel Katz said Hamas’ plan to delay the next release of hostages was “a complete violation” of the ceasefire agreement and that he had instructed the Israeli military to be on the highest level of alert. The prime minister’s coordinator for hostages said the Israeli government intended to live up to its end of the agreement.

“Hamas on Monday … announced it was postponing the release of three hostages that had been scheduled for Saturday.” the  Israeli news website YNET reported. The Islamic terror group continues to hold 73 hostages — including women, elderly, and children — out of whom 35 are thought to have been executed or tortured to death by their Palestinian captors.

In a Fox News interview with Bret Baier aired Monday, President Trump warned that he could cut aid going to Jordan and Egypt if they refused to accept refugees from Gaza.

Last week, the president proposed a reconstruction and resettlement plan for the Hamas-infested enclave, a massive construction project that would turn Gaza into the “Riviera of the Middle East” and offer a better life to its residents in neighboring Arab states.

Reuters reported:

Trump also said he might withhold aid to Jordan and Egypt if they don’t take Palestinian refugees being relocated from Gaza. He is to meet Jordan’s King Abdullah on Tuesday.

In an excerpt of an interview with Fox News channel’s Bret Baier broadcast on Monday, Trump added that he thought he could make a deal with Jordan and Egypt to take the displaced Palestinians, saying the U.S. gives the two countries “billions and billions of dollars a year.”

Update: Israel’s security cabinet supports Trump’s call, falls short of backing en masse hostage release

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu-led security cabinet supported President Trump’s statement but fell short of calling for an em masse release of all Israeli hostages from Hamas’ captivity, Israeli media reported citing a government official.

The Times of Israel reported:

The security cabinet unanimously backs US President Donald Trump’s call for Israeli hostages to be released from Gaza by Saturday, an Israeli official says.

Ministers also back Trump’s “revolutionary vision” for the future of Gaza, that would see Palestinians resettled and the US assume control of the rebuilding effort in the enclave post-war.

The carefully worded Hebrew comments from the Israeli official seem to stop short of a complete endorsement of all of Trump’s positions, and notably does not refer to “all” hostages.

“All cabinet members expressed support for US President Donald Trump’s demand for the release of our hostages by noon on Shabbat, and for his revolutionary vision for the future of Gaza,” the key sentence specifies.

The security cabinet meeting, called to discuss Israel’s response to the Hamas announcement that it would freeze future hostage releases until further notice, stretched for four hours. The official describes the Hamas announcement as “the decision by the Hamas terror group to breach the deal.”

IDF: Hamas murdered 86-year-old hostage Shlomo Mansour, holding his body

President Trump’s ultimatum comes amid grim reports that Hamas had murdered 86-year-old Israeli hostage Shlomo Mansour and was holding on to him as a bargaining chip to get convicted terrorists out of Israeli prisons. Mansour, a father of five and a grandfather to 12 grandchildren, was murdered on October 7, 2023, and his body was dragged back to Gaza by Palestinians, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed Monday.

The terrorists abducted Mansour from his home in Kibbutz Kissufim. His wife, Mazal, managed to escape the clutches of Hamas.

The Israeli news website Arutz Sheva reported:

The IDF has notified the family of Shlomo Mansour, 86, from Kibbutz Kissufim, that it has determined that he was abducted and murdered during the October 7th Massacre and that Hamas is holding his body captive.

The IDF stated that “IDF representatives this morning notified the family of Shlomo Mansour of blessed memory, who was brutally abducted to the Gaza Strip, that he was murdered by the Hamas terror organization on October 7th, 2023, and his body is being held in the Gaza Strip. The decision to determine his death was based on intelligence information that was collected over the past months and was confirmed by the Health Ministry’s professional committee in conjunction with the Religious Affairs Ministry and the Israel Police.”

His family stated: “Shlomo was the pillar of strength for our entire family. A man of high morals and values, a lover of humanity, who always helped others wholeheartedly. A man with a heart of gold, golden hands, and a smile worth gold.”

Israeli military on high alert as Hamas suspends hostage deal

Israel responded to Hamas’ move to suspend the hostage deal by putting the armed forces on high alert. “In accordance with the situational assessment, it was decided to raise the level of readiness and postpone leave for combat soldiers and operational units in the Southern Command,” the Israeli military said in a statement Monday night.

The military was also gearing up for a possible Hamas terror offensive. The IDF also “decided to significantly reinforce the area with additional forces for defensive missions.”

Hamas has had their chance for survival. Let the Jews end them once and for all and for once let’s give what the left wants, some good old ethnic cleansing 😂

Gee what a surprise, Hamas isn’t going to abide by the ceasefire agreement after they’ve gotten hundreds of their terrorist compatriots back. . Nobody could have seen that coming, right? Right?!?!

There is no point in further negotiations and Israel shouldn’t wait until Saturday. They should immediately resume the offensive and eliminate Hamas and their terrorist compatriots from the Gaza Strip once and for all.

Hamas will call Trump’s bluff on this. DJT had better have a plan ready to go and execute it since he said ‘all hell’….Hamas isn’t normal human and not quite animal. Somewhere in between. I can’t imagine we have special forces inside the Gaza ruins, so there must be something big and final.

I guess we’re about to find out how deeply rooted Hamas sympathizers have become in our NatSec agencies and DoD. I suspect we’re not going to like what we learn. If the FBI will call the media to tip-off DHS immigration raids, I can only imagine how quickly Hamas will be sent our most sensitive opsec details. There’s a good reason IDF didn’t tell us about the pagers. We’re not reliable ATM. It’s going to take Team Trump some amount of time to weed out the filth.

I read Trump’s remarks as green lighting Israel to do whatever it needs to do as opposed to any action by the US. Now Israel has the opportunity to go full scorched earth on Gaza, like Sherman’s march to the sea. Of course the girly-man left in Israel will counsel timidity, but they have become mostly irrelevant. World leaders will condemn Israel as they always do. So what? What are they going to do about it? They couldn’t hate Israel more.

“Trump also said he might withhold aid to Jordan and Egypt if they don’t take Palestinian refugees being relocated from Gaza. He is to meet Jordan’s King Abdullah on Tuesday.”

At last. If Egypt is still the second biggest recipient of US aid, Trump’s threat is credible and potentially effective. As to a right of return for the descendants of displaced Arabs, what’s so special about them? Do the descendants of the Sudeten Germans have a right of return? Right after WWII the Allies forcefully relocated about 1.5 million Sudetens, and the Benes decrees confiscated all their real and personal property. Ditto for more than 10 million ethnic (not Reich) Germans all over Europe. Why should Arabs and Arabs alone enjoy a right of return when many millions of others don’t? Note how this is almost never discussed. Israel should hit its critics in Europe with this bit of history.

but they have become mostly irrelevant
Not sure I agree with this. There are still plenty of people in Israel with tortured minds who will still cry, “Give peace a chance!” Despite having given it several chances, already.

Israel needs to ignore “world opinion” and eliminate this threat to their safety and security now. ELIMINATE it. Move from one end of Gaza to the other and force everyone out that you don’t have to kill. Eradicate the threat.

(How long will it take for moonmouth to show up?)

Then, bulldoze the rubble, and terraform gaza into a big, beautiful Buc-ees mega store and resort for Carnival Cruise Lines.

God speed.

I see plenty of heavily armed men on trucks wearing the Hamas uniforms at these beyond disgraceful shame parades when they return hostages. Tells me Hamas is still a fighting force. Come Saturday at noon, Israel and the US need to back up these words with lethal action. No more games. God Bless the USA and God Bless Israel.

Finally someone who gets how you get things done in the Middle East. Strength and actual consequences. Not strongly worded letters, UN resolutions, endless aid with no strings attached nor management of where it goes to, pandering, and phony red lines.

Not Hamas-Gaza. Gaza=Hamas and Hamas=Gaza. Every single person in Faza is an enemy-either a combatant or support for combatants. Pretending otherwise will just get good people killed and preserve these genocidal vermin.

“vermin”

Wow. “The banality of evil” under full sail. LI regulars here might want to check out this video from the “WW2” series:

They rejected their humanity, no one else, and the inability to see and understand that truth is telling, even for a pretender trying to virtue signal and shame.

I would like to see a little bit of “super-power show-business” just for the style points. At 11 am fly a B-52 over Gaza at about 500 feet, Encouragec people to flee from a specified zone At 12:01 drop a nice bomb load over the emptied area of Gaza. At 1 PM, two B-52’s drop their loads (from 25,000 feet or so) just a half mile closer to Hamas. Repeat the process with three planes the next hour; repeat with four and so forth. Stop at 6 PM with the announcement of repeating the cycle beginning at 8 AM.

Silly? Sure but no boots on the ground and a clear display of overwhelming power.

Moony – tell us one good thing about Hamas….

Interesting. As of this writing, the comment-section regulars here at LI have given an “upvote/downvote” score of 0-5 to a post that said that if you’re saying that every single Gazan is “vermin”, you’ve gone a little nuts.

    Your priorities are askew.

You cannot have a functioning civilization when the average citizen has below normal IQ.

Palestinians unmasked

Would love for the people to be removed to a better place, for the whole place to be destroyed, including the tunnels, bulldozed, and then left to be what it once was or turned into a park.

I would hate to be the countries taking the thugs in, we have enough over here

They need to stay in ME

Go after Hamas leader lurking in Turkey and Qatar. Take away every possible sanctuary.

Sanction every country and NGO that provides any form of support to Hamas. Claw back all payments to the UN for their Hamas support. Sanction every UN employee and any ambassador who has expressed support for Hamas. Eject them all for the US, ban them, and crush them financially.

geronl in reply to ztakddot. | February 11, 2025 at 1:58 pm

Qatar will never allow that. Turkey is also on the wrong side.

ztakddot in reply to geronl. | February 11, 2025 at 2:40 pm

Qatar is the size of a postage stamp and is complicit in their corrupt funding of Islamists in our country, especially at universities.

Turkey is not and has never been our friend. We should withdraw our nukes from the base there because they are at risk. They should be kicked out of Nato. Let them go play footsie with the Russians some more.

Iran is the key to stop this crap. Trump must have telegraphed to them that they will be the target if they don’t stop this madness. To even think of going into Gaza at this point would be an utter failure and death to all hostages.
