Super Bowl Halftime Performer Displayed Sudanese-Palestinian Flag

Idiot.

A Super Bowl halftime performer could face charges after he unfurled a Sudanese-Palestinian flag.

Authorities quickly took him off the stage and detained him. From The Associated Press:

The NFL confirmed the person was part of the 400-member field cast. The New Orleans Police Department said in a statement that “law enforcement is working to determine applicable charges in this incident.”

“The individual will (be) banned for life from all NFL stadiums and events,” NFL spokesperson Brian McCarthy said in an emailed statement.

The performer stood on a car used as a prop for Lamar’s performance and held up the flag. The NFL said “the individual hid the item on his person and unveiled it late in the show” and that “no one involved with the production was aware of the individual’s intent.”

Roc Nation, the entertainment company which produced the show, said that the act “was neither planned nor part of the production and was never in any rehearsal.”

So much for super security or somebody is lying.

The whole concept of a Pali-Sudanese flag seems weird, like a unicorn-monkey hybrid.
One imaginary, one poo flinging.

I didn’t watch and won’t watch and haven’t watched in forever. Only half the reason is because I don’t give a crap about pro sports.

The only way the NFL gets me back as a viewer is when they apologize for blocking Rush Limbaugh as an owner.

NFL is a lost cause, screw them.

I did hear that Taylor Swif was booed mercilessly. So there’s hope for the fans.

That, and Trump was cheered heartily as the camera panned over him and his family, him saluting and them hands over hearts as the National Anthem played.

It was a pleasantly surprising moment for me: New Orleans and NFL peeps cheering him on, signaling that the majority of America is not buying the leftist lapdog lamestream media propaganda about 47 like they did 7 years ago when I witnessed a 50-50 mix of boos and cheers for 45 in my hometown of Atlanta, at the CFP National Championship Game between UGA and Bama. After a relentless 2 years of media lies and leftist smears then, the more conservative crowd of college football fans — in GA and AL of all places — booing him threw me. I’m still not used to GA being a swing state.

I guess someone was trying desperately to do something to liven up that DOA “performance”. Even Uncle Samuel L Jackson couldn’t save that crap show.

Also, I notice in all of the statements made that no one bothers to rebuke the act and just says “it wasn’t planned”

Ummm…none?

Yeah, I’m not seeing anywhere in the above a reason to arrest the person. Unless they had a rule about not displaying certain flags or something. But, even then, they don’t point to that rule and express it.

Because if we’re going to start arresting people just for being idiots, we’re gonna need a lot more jails.

While watching that absolutely dreadful ‘musical’ performance, I could only think about one thing: AI really is an existential threat to professional musicians, particularly pop music. I’m reliably informed this guy is one of the best selling artists of the last decade. The contemporary music consumer is simply not very discerning because this guy has ZERO musical talent. I could take a classroom of 3rd-graders with kazoos and in a period of 1-week, put on a more musical – in tune and in time – production.

AI isn’t going to have any problems whatsoever putting out a compelling product because the competition is so laughably weak. In a few years (or less) Mr Lamar can then go back to selling women’s clothes or whatever.

He has apparently also won a Pulitzer prize for his album “DAMN”

I don’t know what to make of that beyond losing even more respect for the Pulitzer prize.

So… was he saying all the Palestinians should move to Sudan?
We can debate that one, at least….

I watched the Superbowl but I muted and ignored the halftime. As for foreign flags in this country all people waving them can go back to their home as we do not need them here.

As much as I hated it, the flag reveal was the only entertaining event during the halftime show.

The whole ensemble should be charged for that dumpster fire of a halftime show.

But I guess I’m just an old white fogey who grew up loving black music and thinks hip hop and rap have destroyed one of America’s greatest art forms.
