Trump Suspends Security Clearance of 51 Officials Who Protected Hunter’s Laptop
The list includes James Clapper, Leon Panetta, Jeremy Bash (ex-husband of CNN’s Dana Bash), John Bolton, and John Brennan.

President Donald Trump signed so many executive orders that I forgot to write about this one.
Trump revoked the security clearances of the 51 intel officials who claimed Hunter Biden’s laptop “has all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.”
These people did everything they could to ensure former President Joe Biden defeated Trump in 2020.
Once Biden won, though, no one could contain the truth: The laptop belonged to Hunter, and everything on it belonged to him.
Well, all 51 of the officials refused to apologize for their letter. The officials helped themselves by crafting the letter to make it easy to shed any responsibility.
They said they had suspicions about it coming from Russia, but they never provided confirmation.
They no longer have security clearances. The list includes James Clapper, Leon Panetta, Jeremy Bash (ex-husband of CNN’s Dana Bash), John Bolton, and John Brennan.
Section 1. Purpose. In the closing weeks of the 2020 Presidential campaign, at least 51 former intelligence officials coordinated with the Biden campaign to issue a letter discrediting the reporting that President Joseph R. Biden’s son had abandoned his laptop at a computer repair business. Signatories of the letter falsely suggested that the news story was part of a Russian disinformation campaign.
Before being issued, the letter was sent to the CIA Prepublication Classification Review Board, the body typically assigned to formally evaluate the sensitive nature of documents prior to publication. Senior CIA officials were made aware of the contents of the letter, and multiple signatories held clearances at the time and maintained ongoing contractual relationships with the CIA.
Federal policymakers must be able to rely on analysis conducted by the Intelligence Community and be confident that it is accurate, crafted with professionalism, and free from politically motivated engineering to affect political outcomes in the United States. The signatories willfully weaponized the gravitas of the Intelligence Community to manipulate the political process and undermine our democratic institutions. This fabrication of the imprimatur of the Intelligence Community to suppress information essential to the American people during a Presidential election is an egregious breach of trust reminiscent of a third world country. And now the faith of Americans in all other patriotic intelligence professionals who are sworn to protect the Nation has been imperiled.
National security is also damaged by the publication of classified information. Former National Security Advisor John R. Bolton published a memoir for monetary gain after he was terminated from his White House position in 2019. The book was rife with sensitive information drawn from his time in government. The memoir’s reckless treatment of sensitive information undermined the ability of future presidents to request and obtain candid advice on matters of national security from their staff. Publication also created a grave risk that classified material was publicly exposed.
To remedy these abuses of the public trust, this Order directs the revocation of any active or current security clearances held by: (i) the former intelligence officials who engaged in misleading and inappropriate political coordination with the 2020 Biden presidential campaign; and (ii) John R. Bolton.

About time. Everyone with a security clearance of any type should lose it when they leave the employment that required it.
When these retired generals and CIA analysts show up on tv they’re not independent analysts, they’re government mouthpieces. They’re on TV to spin the news and sell their books.
Maybe they can “learn to code”.
Trump
SuspendsRevokes Security Clearance of 51 Officials Who Protected Hunter’s LaptopFixed it.
Now let’s have FBI raids to see what “classified information” they have in their homes
ooo – i like that plan!!!
heheehe
I don’t believe Bolton signed the letter. He still deserved having his security clearance yanked.
The revocation carries two critical messages. The first is “Intelligence officers should stay the (censored) out of politics.” These 51 idiots should have known that before, and now they stand as “encourager les autres, pour.” The second message is directly to the Deep State. Many of these listed have been happily abusing their authority to undercut every Trump objective behind the scenes. Now, that pipeline of critical intel has been cut off, and they’re useless to the people who have been using them (and paying them) to this point. Goodbye, free ride. Hello, consequences.
“Hello, consequences.”
Due to the way he was treated, he’s going scorched earth. this time around
I think Trump pulled Bolton’s clearance due the reckless treatment of sensitive information in a book Bolton wrote.
Scorched earth is an appropriate response, There should be investigations for all of them, followed by filling up those J6 cells.
Hey, remember in grade school, where we all learned what a great “reform” it was to ditch the “spoils system” for a “cadre of professional executives” after Garfield?
And now we all learn that there was another valid side to that debate.
The irony here is that if you read the definition of “spoils system” — “a practice where a political party rewards its supporters with government jobs after winning an election, often without considering their qualifications” — you realize that it was reinstituted unannounced years ago under the Democrats… they called it DEI!
And if anyone shares classified information with them, that person should be incarcerated with life w/o parole.
the stache stabbing him in the bakc was one of the ultimate et tu brute’s.
Pence was Johnny come lately, but the stache should be barred from even being near the swamp EVER again.
It will be a very, very long time before any of these have someone friendly back in power to turn their access back on.
For some of them, given their age, they may not survive long enough to see that change come in 😂
Good. Now find a way to put Brennan and Clapper in prison.
At least charge them with enough stuff to hound them into bankruptcy — the process is the punishment, remember? — and land on perjury hard. Might just work.
Also love how John Bolton is singled out for special attention 😂😂
These clowns are finding out first hand that elections have consequences 😂
He’s singled out because he was not one of the 51. He lost his clearance because of his book.
I still love the fact he was singled out sweetie 😂😂
I keep giggling every time I see a headline these last 2 days. The news is just making me so giddy right now….
The amazing thing is realizing, “This is two dozen common sense things, one after the other, that America has needed to right it and bail it out for the past four years. The right guy can accomplish them in two days. What the hell is wrong with the Democrats?”
I think Anthony Blinken should have been included in the list. He was the one who organized this cabal.
It’s possible Trump has evidence pinning him as the Gray Eminence (or one of a few) and is singling him out for special attention later.
He’s saying they’re not trustworthy, not that they’re a security risk.
Intelligence officials who can’t be trusted to refrain from shading intel assessments for political gain – are by definition untrustworthy.
Which makes them a security risk.
Sen. Schumer also lied repeatedly about what he “knew” about collusion et Alia because of his clearance and access but he supposedly just couldn’t cite for the public the “proof” because (wink, wink, nudge nudge) telling us the specifics of that intel (which didn’t exist) would be wrong.
He’s even been censored by the senate itself for that repeated lie.
He should lose any clearance or seat on any committee which handles classified docs.
No, Trump’s just using the tools available to him. No security clearance, no job.
The malfeasance was running an op on the American people, which is forbidden. But it’s hard to fire civil servants. There’s no legal recourse to having your clearance lifted.
Any official or former official who deliberately lies to the public in order to influence a major political campaign IS a security risk.
Well, they ARE a security risk if they are not trustworthy. I don’t know how you separate the two. Care to explain?
They’re patriots with TDS.
That’s exactly how an incompetent control describes the double agent screwing him over.
Need to strip Samantha Power of her security clearance.
Remove it from everyone associated with the last regime.
Good, screw those traitors
It’s a beautiful thing.
Revoke every clearance at termination/retirement. Period. Stop allowing the group of ‘former X’ to have access, not just to Intel but to the buildings. Stop allowing a system that perpetuates a class of ‘shadow gov’t’ goons who trade upon special knowledge to supplement their retirement.
This. If you want to rehire or consult with the former employee, fine. You can reissue the clearance on a prn basis. There is no need for them to retain their clearances.
^^This^^
The excuse has been that these people go to jobs where they need a security clearance. I have said for a long time then let them apply through their new employer for the security clearance.
I can tell you that military members who leave the military to join State Department approved Security companies have to reapply for their security clearance. Unless you are a upper level officer they have your clearance canceled by the time you hit the house from your last posting.
What do you call a computer having all the classic ear marks of Biden’s worthless and reckless son who is using drugs and hiring prostitutes—and for whom Joe will issue a pardon before leaving office?
Russian Disinformation of course.
You’re not serious, Paula. Nobody would call it that. That’s just another one of your crazy sarc posts!!!!!
This made me giggle as I looked through the names just thinking. Well say goodbye to those high paying consulting jobs, LMAO.
Talking to a few friends who work at DC agencies, they’re uniformly surprised at how organized the incoming Trump team is. As it was put to me, ‘They apparently spent the time between now and Election Day doing nothing but sharpening their axes.’
Good.
Nah, the last 4 years
Obviously they spent some of that time learning how to throw them accurately as well.
This Executive Order is deficient.
I read it three times, and cannot find the phrase “lying c**ts” anywhere.
The next steps should be to fire the existing National Security Council (NSC) and request the resignations of all US attorneys in the DOJ.
The way this post is written seems to imply that Bolton was one of the 51 signatories to that infamous letter. He wasn’t. His clearance was revoked for a different reason. Hence “this Order directs the revocation of […] clearances held by: (i) the former intelligence officials […]; and (ii) John R. Bolton.
