DeSantis Picks FL Attorney General Ashley Moody to Fill Rubio’s Senate Seat

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis picked Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody to fill Sen. Marco Rubio’s Senate seat.

The Senate will likely confirm Rubio as President-elect Donald Trump’s Secretary of State.

From Florida’s Voice:

DeSantis reiterated that Republicans in Congress must support President-elect Donald Trump’s agenda and “restore basic American principles.”

He said that his prime criteria for the appointment was someone who would work with Trump, vote against excessive spending and cut spending, who “understands” the troubling expansion of federal bureaucracy, and who supports intense measures to crack down on both illegal and legal immigration.

DeSantis said his “final criteria” was someone with a “demonstrated record” on those issues.

Exciting times are unfolding for MAGA and even more so for Dems 🙂

She’ll easily be one of the most 5 – maybe 3 – most reliably conservative Senators in the GOP caucus. Great pick.

I hope she will be a fighter.

Yet another illustration of the importance of a deep bench. Nicely done, Governor, and kudos to Ms. (soon to be Senator) Moody.

She doesn’t look old enough to be a Senator, though. Gotta be at least 30.

Pam Bondi as AG, and now former AG Moody as Senator. Growing some good ones in Florida

Maybe we should start a #strongFLwomen tag just to trigger Dems

Triggering Dems is cheap entertainment, that was the beauty of Trumps online comments.

The exception being triggering dumb people who go on to loot and destroy their own neighborhoods. There should be no funding for those people to rebuild. Their whining about that would be entertaining.

Bondi is very weak on the RKBA, and has never apologized for her role in the persecution of Jorge Mesa (aka George Zimmerman).

What was her role? She was Florida Attorney General, but the decision to prosecute Zimmerman was made by Angela Corey, the 4th Circuit States Attorney. That’s an elective office, so Corey was not working for Bondi.
