NY Man Allegedly Assaults Stranger After Being Triggered by Trump Hat

NY Man Allegedly Assaults Stranger After Being Triggered by Trump Hat

According to reports, Robert Yott is accused of punching the victim in the mouth and head several times, causing the victim’s teeth to be broken. Meanwhile, signs point to even more potential incidents if Trump wins on Tuesday.

The Democrats’ demonization of President Donald J. Trump and his supporters as “Nazis” and “garbage” may have claimed a victim in New York this weekend, as one man allegedly brutally assaulted another shopper after being triggered by a pro-Trump hat.

A Bath, New York man was arrested on Friday after allegedly beating up a stranger who was wearing a Trump 2024 hat at a supermarket, according to police.

The Village of Bath Police Department reported that 60-year-old Robert Yott was charged with felony second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor.

Police said officers were dispatched to the Tops Friendly Markets on West Morris Street at about 10 a.m. on Friday after receiving a report about a fight.

After arriving at the scene, investigators learned Yott allegedly confronted a stranger who was wearing a Trump 2024 hat.

According to reports, Yott is accused of punching the victim in the mouth and head several times, causing the victim’s teeth to be broken.

Yott punched the victim repeatedly, causing injury described as “teeth to be broken and bloody mouth.”

Police arrested Yott, who is well known as an author of two military historical books, for one felony and one misdemeanor charge. He was held pending arraignment, read the full police report here.

Sadly, this story is one among many of Trump supporters being attacked. As a reminder, in 2016, a mob attacked those who attended a Trump rally in San Jose, California.

Several supporters of the presumptive Republican presidential nominee were seen chased and taunted by protesters outside the San Jose Convention Center. Protesters also surrounded a woman and threw eggs and bottles at her.

“It was unbelievable,” said Steve Tong, a Cupertino resident who attended the Trump rally.

Tong said after the rally he was walking toward a nearby parking structure and saw protesters surrounding and taunting an elderly couple.

“I’ve never seen anything like that in America before,” Tong said.

Tong also said he saw protesters smash car windows inside the parking structure.

Of course, this is on top of many other attacks, the destruction of Trump signs and the two assassination attempts on Trump himself.

I am going to have to agree with Professor Jacobson and Kemberlee Kaye that there would be a major psychiatric break among wokeists and progressives should Trump prevail on Tuesday…so there are likely to be even more supporters targeted, especially over the next few months.

I recall the rioting in Washington, DC, during the 2017 inauguration. If Trump returns for a second term, I can only imagine what will happen in 2025 unless substantial precautions are taken.

As a reminder, because our elite media would rather discuss the Great Trespass of 2021, here is what happened in 2017:

Six police officers were injured and 217 protesters arrested Friday after a morning of peaceful protests and coordinated disruptions of Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony gave way to ugly street clashes in downtown Washington.

At least two DC police officers and one other person were taken to the hospital after run-ins with protesters, DC Fire Spokesman Vito Maggiolo told CNN. Acting DC Police Chief Peter Newsham said the officers’ injuries were considered minor and not life threatening.

Bursts of chaos erupted on 12th and K streets as black-clad “antifascist” protesters smashed storefronts and bus stops, hammered out the windows of a limousine and eventually launched rocks at a phalanx of police lined up in an eastbound crosswalk. Officers responded by launching smoke and flash-bang devices, which could be heard from blocks away, into the street to disperse the crowds.

“Pepper spray and other control devices were used to control the criminal actors and protect persons and property,” police said.

Yeah, probably gonna see more of this leading up to the inaugural no matter what the election outcome is. The overly emotional wokiesta left has been amped up to eleventy with TDS and lashing out MAGA supporters who have been vilified for going on a decade as irredeemably evil should not be surprising to anyone paying attention.

Let’s start: 2024 will forever stand for the Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder election. The fall campaign alone began with Haitian immigrants eating cats in Springfield, Ohio, and is ending with a New York State government SWAT raid on Peanut the Squirrel.

How is this not a fitting example of blue-state governance today? Don’t enforce the border, state, or federal law and order on the street, but let’s crack down on an illegal domestic squirrel.

Hey now! How do you know that squirrel hadn’t illegally crossed the border? Is it because he’s fuzzy and cute? Bigot! Specieist!

Except that the first thing was a crazy rumor that never happened, and the second one is solid truth.

The explosion of low class tertiary education and the widespread availability of medical services have created a zombie race of pod people, which Darwinian selection would not have permitted and who have been educated to the apex of ignorance. They walk among us. Beware.

If riots are anticipated, why aren’t national guardsman called up to be at the ready should police be overwhelmed?

Because the Left wants a civil war. They have been doing everything they can to trigger it for years, if not decades. The problem is that they are too stupid to realize what they will unleash: https://drhurd.com/2021/12/13/the-men-who-wanted-to-be-left-alone/

Where would we suspect are the most likely locations for election riots? Who controls those areas?

In fairness what would the reaction be across the Nation to the leadership in those States/Localities calling up the NG on/for election day? I suspect that would set off lots of alarm bells and launch all sorts of theories about the underlying reasons for doing it.

The NG should be at the ready for the day after election day, and then especially for inauguration day.

In which State? All of them? Plus you just significantly altered your timeline of NG being called up from ‘if riots are expected’ to the day after election day and inauguration day.

Lets say Gov Pritzker of Illinois issues a call up of the Illinois NG. Ballots still being counted, sends then down State to collect all the rural precincts and centralize tabulation or just surrounds the counting locations down State. I suspect lots of folks on the center/right would not be entirely comfortable with those acts. How about similar actions in Michigan with Whitmer? Wisconsin with Evers? Minnesota whose Gov is a VP candidate….

Tell us where you want the NG called up and then look at exactly who would be giving them their mission orders.

They are evidently being prepped in the Pacific Northwest (Washington and Oregon).

Are they openly hostile yet?
I’ll be waiting, along with at least 175 million likeminded folks.

I understand the left are unhinged violent people, and I’m appropriately prepared, but I still have a hard time comprehending it.

The thought of me assaulting someone for simply wearing a Harris hat is unfathomable, despite my low opinion of leftists.

I found a bit of backstory on this guy. Mr. Yott is a military historian and author. Too bad he’s also a leftist thug.

Ah… but intentionally leave tire marks on a street painted pride flag or give a migrant the middle finger and NY will hit you with a Hate Crime. Because something something justice…

Wrong. Deliberately vandalizing property is a crime, and can therefore be charged according to its motive. But making a rude gesture isn’t a crime, and therefore can’t be charged at all, let alone in a particular category.

Many people seem not to understand that the term “hate crime” does not and has never meant that hatred itself is a crime, or that doing something out of hatred is a crime. A hate crime is not a “thing”, an independent entity; “hate” is a quality that a crime can have. “Hate crime” is like “blue car”; you can have a car, and it can be blue, but “blue” itself is not a thing. You can’t point to any blue object and call it a “blue car”. Yes, its blue, but it’s not a car.

Hatred never turns a non-crime into a crime. But once a crime has been committed, it can be classified in various ways, e.g. “violent”, “premeditated”, “using a weapon”, “sexual”, etc., and one of those classifications is “motivated by hatred” as opposed to the dozens of other motivations that criminals often have.

So giving someone the middle finger can’t be a hate crime, because it isn’t a crime in the first place. But vandalizing someone’s flag, since it is already a crime, might or might not be a hate crime.

If I recall correctly from when Texas passed a “hate crime” law, it didn’t list specific grounds but covered all crimes committed out of hatred for some identifiable group, no matter how defined. Under such a law, this would also be a hate crime, since it was done out of hatred for an identifiable group, “Trump supporters”. In most states, though, the “hate crime” laws only cover specific grounds, such as sex, race, age, sexuality, etc. They still don’t favor one group over another, a hate crime against a white person is prosecuted just as severely as one against a black person, but only the listed characteristics are covered and they usually don’t include “political support”.

This incident provides another example of the effectiveness of propaganda. We have been bathed in anti-Trump propaganda and rhetoric for 8 years, and many people have simply been driven insane. I would expect this to happen in Berkeley CA, although very few would be foolish enough to advertise anything favorable to Trump. I suspect such a person would actually be murdered. And probably get away with it.

So here we are living in a nut house of a country. I don’t carry any pro Trump insignia and I’m armed with a variety of weapons everywhere I go, especially in Austin. Another deep blue city populated by the insane. If Trump gets elected tomorrow, be very careful. Stay inside for a while.

We live in a state which, thankfully, is practically ignored more than most. Nevertheless, we will have a well stocked pantry, many packs of bottled water along with filters on the domestic water supply, a small generator with spare fuel, and two cars filled with gasoline. Will anything happen here? Not likely where we are but it’s better to be overprepared rather than underprepared. Frozen food keeps a long time.

I carry. Always. Someone asked me why I don’t wear a Trump/MAGA hat. I live in Lacey, WA, next to Olympia. I replied, “I don’t want to have to shoot someone over a hat.”

The vast majority of political violence in American society has been coming from the vile and evil Dhimmi-crats and their wretched bands of radical and fanatical allies, since at least the 1960’s — despite these pukes’ persistent and dishonest efforts to paint such violence as allegedly coming from conservatives/GOP.

Let’s toast Trump-Vance victory on Tuesday night. It will not be a close margin, folks. No way.

Then there is the rest of the story regarding the 2017 DC Inauguration riots. Of those arrested, 21 pleaded guilty, while the rest were either acquitted or had the charges dropped. I bet the 21 who pled out kick themselves in the butt for not fighting the charges!

Think of how deranged you have to be to think this was acceptable. This is however right out of the liberal playbook.

I recall the rioting in Washington, DC, during the 2017 inauguration.
The folks here (and a few other sites) seem to be the only ones who do.

I pity the local police department. The victim wasn’t carrying a gun, so they’re going to have a devil of a time blaming his for the attack. And somehow that I simply cannot comprehend, they could find absolutely not one reason to publish the victim’s name and photo so that he and his family could be doxxed and threatened, and his pets killed, by the local brownshirts.

Why would they want to do any of that?

This is solid Republican territory. Those policemen are probably all voting for Trump, and might well wear the same hat when they’re off duty, so the nut case could easily have punched any one of them instead. They’re not about to treat him lightly, or make life difficult for the victim.
