FCC Commissioner: Harris on SNL Broke ‘Equal Time’ Rule if NBC Didn’t Invite Trump

FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr said NBC broke the Equal Time rule if it did not extend an invitation to former President Donald Trump.

VP Kamala Harris made a cameo in the opening skit.

The Equal Time rules do not only apply to political ads.

The addition of Harris on SNL seemed to be at the last minute.

Harris appeared in the cold opening with Maya Rudolph, who impersonates the vice president:

During her appearance on this week’s episode of “SNL” Harris joined comedian Maya Rudolph, who often impersonates her, for a cold open sketch. While Rudolph was playing the vice president, Harris began her “SNL” debut on the other side of a mirror from the comedian.“I’m just here to remind you, you got this, because you can do something your opponent can’t do — you can open doors,” Harris told Rudolph, seemingly referring to a video from earlier in the week in which former President Trump had a hard time grabbing the handle of a garbage truck.

It’s so weird.

Joe Rogan had Trump and VP candidate Sen. JD Vance on his show.

Rogan invited Harris. She said she would only appear on it if he traveled to her and only give her an hour.

Yet, somehow Harris found time to jet off to NYC to appear on SNL.
