J.D. Vance: “Giving Kamala Harris control over inflation policy is like giving Jeffrey Epstein control over human trafficking policy”

He’s not wrong.

As Mary reported last week, Kamala Harris laid out a series of destructive, horrific economic policies. They were so bad that even Democrat media hactivists called her out on it, both at CNN and the Washington Post.

Trump’s VP pick, J.D. Vance, appeared on Fox News Sunday and eviscerated the commie crazy.

The New York Post reports:

Republican VP nominee JD Vance has said tasking Vice President Kamala Harris with reining in inflation would be tantamount to putting notorious sex predator Jeffrey Epstein in charge of anti-human trafficking — and accused the Democratic candidate of “doubling down” on the failed policies of the current administration.

Harris, 59, unveiled a suit of economic policies on Friday aimed at shoring up her standing with voters who blame the Biden-Harris administration for a spike in the cost of living.

“Giving Kamala Harris control over inflation policy, Shannon, it’s like giving Jeffrey Epstein control over human trafficking policy. The American people are much smarter than that,” Vance, 40, told “Fox News Sunday” anchor Shannon Bream.

“They don’t buy the idea that Kamala Harris represents a fresh start. She is more of the same. It is doubling down on the failed policies of the [current] administration,” he added.

. . . . Some economists described the “price-gouging” proposal her campaign laid out as akin to price control.

“Our message is going to be very simple. If you want to get back to the peace and prosperity, the rising take-home pay, Donald Trump delivered it once and he can do it again,” Vance argued.

“If you want to double down on the failed policies that have delivered higher food prices and higher housing prices, well, Kamala Harris has been vice president for three and a half years, and I guarantee she’s going to make the problem worse,” he continued.

Neither one should be in charge of inflation policy. That’s for the Fed, which is independent.

Trump in 2019 berated the Fed for raising interest rates and screwing up “his” economy, which said to me that Trump doesn’t understand inflation either.

Go with the independent agency.

From “The Federal Reserve System Purposes & Functions:”

“The Federal Reserve System is considered to be an independent central bank. It is so, however, only in the sense that its decisions do not have to be ratified by the President or anyone else in the executive branch of the government. The entire System is subject to oversight by the U.S. Congress….the Federal Reserve must work within the framework of the overall objectives of economic and financial policy established by the government.”

    Some “independent” agency, eh?
    Yeah, no.

Inflation is a consequence of both monetary (Fed) and fiscal (executive and legislative branch) policy. In this case you had disasters of both. Harris cast the tie-breaking vote on two immense spending bills, which even Larry summers said would be inflationary, and the Fed “printed” money like crazy to facilitate the spending. Had Harris not voted for those spending bills, you would not have had ridiculously inflationary fiscal policy. Had the Fed not printed the money, Janet Yellen would have had to borrow those trillions in the open market, interest rates would have gone to the moon, and the economy hit.

The other option was for the Government to live within its means…kind of like what us every day people have to do when money is short.

      I know right…controversial! 🤣

Inflation is a huge tax on responsible people who pay more for everything and whose savings become worth far less.

I suspect Trump knows a little bit more about the economy than you do sweetie…and apparently the vast majority of those in Congress, the Senate and in the Fed! 🤣

Bring on the Speilberg show, where ET meets Schindler. Can’t wait until it’s over and they can get down to the business of burying the frauds.

Expecting Kamala Harris to control anything would be like telling Biden to control his bladder after drinking a gallon water.

Having had a drug addicted relative, her apparent inability to focus or intelligently discuss anything, or to recognize that reading “gauging” instead of “gouging” in her Price Control speech is a big deal appears like a person with a drug-addled brain. For her and the country’s sake, I hope something less serious explains it.

Say what you will, but Vance is accurate, articulate and devastating.

Watching Dana Bash try to trip him up was instructive and amusing.

Kamala would be just as effective as the Inflation Czar as she has been as the Border Czar . . .

. . . and just as willing to lie about it.

The lack of any understanding on how economics works among Americans and in particular populist politicians is astounding. For Harris to call for price controls, “gouging” laws whatever that means and any other failed economic plans shows how little she knows about anything.

J.D. Vance is really surprising a lot of folks with his ability to respond with intelligence and wit to the various nutjobs the left(dems/progs/commies) that try to treat him like they do most folks with the R behind their names.
Gonna be interesting to watch him handle that idiot MN governor. Can’t wait. MAGA.
