My Hot Take: Biden Presser A Big Win For Donald Trump Because Democrat Chaos Continues

My Hot Take: Biden Presser A Big Win For Donald Trump Because Democrat Chaos Continues

Trump must be loving the chaos in the Democrat Party. That chaos will continue at least for some time period after tonight, maybe for weeks and months.

Below is my hot take on the Biden press conference.

As many people have noted, Biden did not have enough flubs to embolden Democrats to force him out of the race. But it also didn’t allay their fears. He gave every appearance of wanting to stay in the race.

That leaves Democrats with a massive problem. Their internal polling tells them he’s going to lose. The public polling has him behind but not out of it, something he noted. Democrats know something we don’t, and they are petrified. Every public appearance is a risk of another mental freeze and disaster.

Enter Donald Trump. He must be loving the chaos in the Democrat Party. That chaos will continue at least for some time period after tonight, maybe for weeks and months.

So at least in my hot take, the big winner tonight was Donald Trump.

The Communists should have realized that when you rig the primary process, stifle all dissent within the Communist Party, and insulate the Dear Leader from legal consequences, you get a dictator who has no reason to obey your orders.

Good enough to stay in for now, but very bad.

Have the democrats considered the fact that if Joe steps down, Vice-President Trump will be the candidate for both parties?

Truth be told; Joe Biden doesn’t need neurological, cognitive or mental exams, any person who votes for him does.

Calling that a Big Boy Press Conference is like calling a mole hill Mt Everest. Biden had on his little boy pants and they were two sizes too big.

CaptTee in reply to Paula. | July 12, 2024 at 3:48 pm

A big Boy Press Conference where he is given a list of who to call on for questions?

How gullible do they think we are?

    They are only fooling themselves.

The Gentle Grizzly | July 11, 2024 at 9:40 pm

Now, if Trump can keep his big yap shut and let the Democrats and Biden do the damage, all should be well.

I still think Something Will Happen and he will leave office or quit the race.

PrincetonAl in reply to The Gentle Grizzly. | July 11, 2024 at 10:48 pm

Agreed – Dems are desperate to force him out but the Bidens are maximizing their negotiating position.

If he stays in, Bidens can control pardon of Hunter and maximize remaining deals they can cut to line their pockets on the way out.

They hadn’t planned to leave early so they still need time to do all that.

No reason to leave until they have their golden parachute finalized. There are book deals to sign with non refundable advances and the rest.

Otherwise – they stay in until it’s set.

I assume they have enough dirt that no one will try to blackmail them out because of mutual assured destruction.

If your opponent is shooting himself in the foot, don’t stand ready with a tournequet.

I think the Democrats’ problems will soon be over. I heard that Barack has invited Joe up to Martha’s Vineyard for a weekend of paddle boarding.

ChrisPeters in reply to The Gentle Grizzly. | July 12, 2024 at 12:45 pm

If Trump must speak out, it should be on issues, and nothing childish.

Some mixed feeling.

The Ukraine war seems to me to be a good idea. It’s not obvious what Trump has in mind. It might be good (e.g. making an unexpected but good deal, and trashing the EU too-small contributions to NATO works out to increase their support of it); and I don’t think Trump understands the Fed, where Biden is letting the Fed do its thing, fairly well I think. Trump complained in 2019 or so about high interest rates screwing his economy. That’s not what the Fed was doing, it was trying to prevent inflation.

So two things that I think Biden is better on than Trump, pending better information from Trump.

Biden fighting corporate greed is an immediate disqualifier but so far the Fed hasn’t gone along with it.

Other than that, Biden’s a disaster.

Dimsdale in reply to rhhardin. | July 11, 2024 at 10:00 pm

Well, all I can add is same Fed, different president. How could they presumably keep inflation in check with Pres. Trump, but fail miserably with Biden?

      buck61 in reply to Dimsdale. | July 11, 2024 at 10:08 pm

when you flood the market with cash, inflation will be the most natural outgrowth especially if a minimal amount of goods are being produced

        jb4 in reply to buck61. | July 11, 2024 at 10:47 pm

Even just eliminating student debt boosts inflation, converting it to Federal debt and permitting those monthly debt service payments to now be spent on goods and services. In a sense, it is like having another one of those Federal Covid payments.

      thad_the_man in reply to Dimsdale. | July 11, 2024 at 11:56 pm

      MMT

Seabisquit in reply to Dimsdale. | July 12, 2024 at 2:33 am

Because the Fed had little to do with this inflation. First, shutting down oil production and shooting up the costs hugely impact the cost of farming in fuel and fertilizers. It hits the costs of plastics (your devices too). Then the costs of the reregulation in businesses reporting, having to spend resources to that. That Trump will act on, not the Fed

CommoChief in reply to Seabisquit. | July 12, 2024 at 6:51 am

The Fed Reserve was buying a huge portion of the $6 trillion in new debt created in 20/21/22 with newly printed $. Had the Treasury Dept been forced to sell into the private markets the rate of interest they offered would have been much higher. That in turn would have caused other debt instruments to offer higher rates to compete. Which would have reduced private borrowing and slowed the economy and ultimately kept a lid on price increases.

All the things you mention about fossil fuels and energy costs are true as well. Inflation is always about the money supply ‘too many $ chasing too few goods/services’ and the price increases are the visible results of that.

How will Harris have the needed amount of time to run for President while she’s working so hard securing the border?

So, you’re saying that the Biden Presidency hasn’t been committed to hospice quite yet

Paula in reply to Neo. | July 12, 2024 at 10:47 am

Hospice won’t take him. Jill plans follow Diane Feinstein’s illustrious example: her handlers would not let her resign even though comatose and in a wheelchair — bypass hospice, go directly to morgue. Have a big Funeral. New president, Kamala Harris, will go on and on about how great he was. It will be so moving even people with the clap will clap.

Well, the litany of lies about his “accomplishments” and those of Pres. Trump was predictable and pathetic.

Just the reading of the scripted answers made him look ineffective.

And for God’s sake, someone tell him the creepy whispering is just not effective.

The battle is drawn in the Democratic Party. How long will it last? Where will Harris come down? One thing seems certain. Obama is the biggest fraud, perhaps in American history, and has a Nero fetish.

E Howard Hunt | July 11, 2024 at 10:11 pm

Any word yet on Richard Gere’s take?

I mean at this point Biden is so laughably compromised its actually funny.

But the problem that the Democrats are having is that BIDEN SIMPLY REFUSES TO GO.

He’s always been an arrogant jackass, but he HONESTLY BELIEVES that he’s some incredibly popular President that’s done everything right and is sailing to re-election… because that’s what his bubble feeds him, and he is incapable of finding out otherwise for himself.

Look no further than his creepy Big Boy whisper, when asked about the fact that he’s losing to Trump and he starting whispering, ‘none of the polls say that’. No, actually, ALL of them say that you’re losing catastrophically. But he’s literally pulling the Costanza – ‘It’s not a lie, if YOU believe it!’

No matter how bad it gets, no matter how much they demonstrate he’s incapable of winning or even functioning, HE REFUSES TO GO.

So what else can they do, other than the 25th Amendment?

Now, I have been told (but haven’t been able to confirm), that the Democrat primary is not actually a legal thing that can be challenged, and that if they simply replace him at the convention with somebody else, legally there isn’t anything Biden can do about it.

So IF true, that may be a last ditch effort by them, simply remove him and have an open convention to nominate the real candidate.

Milhouse in reply to Olinser. | July 12, 2024 at 2:05 am

So what else can they do, other than the 25th Amendment?

They can’t even do that, if he objects and the Republicans refuse to play along — which is what they should do.

      4rdm2 in reply to Milhouse. | July 12, 2024 at 4:24 am

Even if they do go along, it adds three or four weeks to the process. Because I believe how it goes is after three weeks the Biden’s would submit a letter saying they think he’s hunker dorey, and then a vote in the house and senate would have to be scheduled to override him coming back by two thirds in both houses. Also … would removing him as president remove him automatically as candidate? They aren’t the same thing.

        Christopher B in reply to 4rdm2. | July 12, 2024 at 6:14 am

        That’s somewhat backwards.

Harris becomes acting President immediately upon notifying the House and Senate leadership that she and a majority of the Cabinet agree that Biden’s lost his marbles.

She remains acting President until four days after Biden sends a similar notification that he found them again. If during that four day period Harris and the Cabinet agree he’s lying about finding them and again notify Congress, that triggers the requirement that Congress assemble within two days. Congress then has twenty-one days to affirm the VP/Cabinet declaration by 2/3 vote. If they reject it, or even simply take no action, Biden resumes the Office at the end of the period.

As far as I can tell the cycle can repeat, and even if Congress affirms the first declaration, Biden can continue to petition to be reinstated because Harris is never more than Acting President.

It doesn’t remove him as a candidate.

The GOP would be justifiably nuked if they didn’t vote to remove him from office at this point

CommoChief in reply to Christopher B. | July 12, 2024 at 8:40 am

Yeah as much I would love to shove Biden back down d/prog throats.. if they actually pull the trigger on the 25th amendment then the GoP must take the high road here for the sake of the Nation, put political considerations into the backseat and vote for the motion.

IMO that’s the only way Biden is not the nominee short of dying or being incapacitated… he and his Family/inner circle ain’t gonna willingly step aside as nominee. The d/prog and their media enablers don’t have a good choice here. Either nuke Biden from office and as nominee (which confirms what most of have been pointing out about his fitness) or suck it up and stick with him as he drives the train off the tracks risking a wipe out election loss to DJT that may have large coattails down ballot.

TargaGTS in reply to Olinser. | July 12, 2024 at 7:53 am

“Now, I have been told (but haven’t been able to confirm), that the Democrat primary is not actually a legal thing that can be challenged”

Not sure if that’s exactly how I would describe it. But, the reality is the DNC rules only obligate pledged delegates to vote for their candidate on the 1st ballot ‘in good conscience.’ For the 16 or 17 states that have statutory laws that obligate their delegates to vote for their candidates at least on the 1st ballot, none of those statutes prescribe an actual penalty (civil or criminal) for violating those laws other than New Mexico (I believe) and it’s only a very low fine. There’s also a considerable chance that if litigated, none of those laws would survive judicial review. The Court has looked dimly on states regulating how private political parties run their parties, see Cousins v. Wagoda (1975).

Still, if they did it, it would be a gigantic mess, probably not the way you’d want to kick off the campaign of whomever they chose to replace Biden. Even if the DNC would prevail in court, if Biden challenged the nomination, it would takes weeks, maybe months to litigate. Not sure the Democrats want to do that.

I agree with the assessment of a mixed night for Joe Biden. I listened in on some of the conference. One particular answer by Biden ticked me off – not for his incompetence but for his unwillingness to recognize that the world will not come to an end concurrently with a Biden presidency. Biden was addressing some question from a foreign correspondent about NATO and the continuance of US support for Ukraine. The premise of the question was that Trump was going to discontinue support for Ukraine and withdraw from NATO. Biden agreed with the questioner’s premise and further stated that the various NATO leaders wanted him in a second term. Now I don’t know what Trump is going to do except adopt (as all previous presidents have tried to based on their assessments) policies that are in the interest of America. If Biden were honest, that is what he should have said. Instead it was particularly galling to me that he was commiserating with a foreigner about Trump’s looming presidency. Joe Biden will not admit that the election of DJT will not be the end of American democracy nor the beginning of an American foreign policy at odds with American interests. In fact, the Biden administration encouraged the Russian invasion and has done little to get the warring sides to a negotiated settlement – which would be in the interests of almost every nation.

    jb4 in reply to Arnoldn. | July 11, 2024 at 10:54 pm

Nor has the Biden administration been any more effective with respect to the Israel/Hamas war. By the way, has anyone ever heard him mention the 30+ American citizens killed or working hard to getting the American citizen hostages back. He appears to care about them just as much as he did for the 13 he got killed in Afghanistan.

Exactly. Foreigners and their opinions have no place in American elections. Of course, we all know that Traitor Joe and his leftist dem comrades hate the idea of America and want to end our sovereignty completely. This was a particularly disgusting and treasonous point Traitor Joe was trying to make … and the fact that he thought he was saying something smart by trying to use foreign opinion to influence American voters made it all the more disgusting and pathetic. Frankly, that sort of statement by Traitor Joe should be good enough for impeachment. But, then … Traitor Joe has committed so many impeachable acts.

Petrushka in reply to Arnoldn. | July 12, 2024 at 7:29 am

Trump said he would call for a peace conference, and if Ukraine doesn’t show up, he will drop American support. If Russia doesn’t show up, he would give Ukraine whatever it takes to Remove Russia.

There have already been a couple of peace conferences to which Russia didn’t show up.

The Emperor wore half his clothes tonight. Won’t say which half.

More seriously, monthly press conference and/or town halls should be mandatory for a president, even written into law, unscripted in substance, where questioners and participants are chosen by some independent method.

The people deserve no less.

Here is a glimpse of the body language on Secretaries Blinken, Austin and National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan faces when President Biden said, “Vice President Trump.”

LukeHandCool | July 12, 2024 at 12:07 am

I know your take is spot on because it jibes with mine.

Biden wasn’t too hot and wasn’t too cold … he was just fine to keep the status quo going … which is perfect for the GOP.

The longer he stays in—even if he doesn’t stay in until the very end—makes things that much more difficult for the Democrats.

Good job tonight, Joe!

The biggest reasons he isn’t going anywhere are the $200 million or so he has to spend. He keeps saying he would get a mental test but no one asks because no one wants to have the answer it would bring.
If they really wanted him gone, have him evaluated

TargaGTS in reply to Skip. | July 12, 2024 at 7:59 am

It sounds like a lot of money. But, I would guess almost all of that $200M is already spent. Just because they have $200M cash-on-hand, doesn’t mean that they don’t have $200M (or more, much more) in accounts payable. The burn rate for presidential campaigns is insane today. In 2020, Biden for President spent over $1B. In this election cycle, Biden/Harris has only spent $171M as of the latest FEC filing from a couple weeks ago. 70% of any campaign total expenditures come during the last 90-days of the cycle.

      AF_Chief_Master_Sgt in reply to TargaGTS. | July 12, 2024 at 8:42 am

“70% of any campaign total expenditures come during the last 90-days of the cycle.”

That money will dry up long before. The BIG donors are pulling their support until Biden leaves.

It’s almost as if these donors are Republicans, in that they won’t throw good money after bad. That’s not a Democrat trait. They piss money away frivolously.

I think they will move to down ticket candidates for sale who can be rescued.

A blood bath at the top usually means a populist trend down ticket.

“The Party” doesn’t just care about the presidency, they care about everything down to the school board and city council seats. Right now, Joe and the Woke Agenda are both on the ballot and America has had more the enough of both.

ThePrimordialOrderedPair | July 12, 2024 at 4:29 am

Traitor Joe makes this idiotic statement during the mock press conference:

I’m not heee…ing any of my European allies come up to me and say, “Joe, don’t run.”. What I hear them say is, “You’ve got to win.
You can’t let this guy come vorrrd [unintelligible]. He’d be a disaster. He’d be a disaster.”

Traitor Joe thinks that Europeans should have a say in American elections. Well … that’s why he’s called “Traitor Joe”. What a treasonous, lowlife retard. Then he tried to pass some stupid lie that Trump didn’t know what NATO was … I don’t know what the hell he thought he was saying.

I did love the part where Traitor Joe was talking about the polls … how he wins the likely voter polls while Trump wins ‘the unlikely voters’. LOL. And so untrue. Traitor Joe definitely wipes the floor with the dead voters and illegals’ ballots.

Pathetic. This worm needs to be removed. He’s completely insane. Completely.

KInd of interesting that the “big boy news conference” designed to reassure the base he was not a vegetable started with a news conference speech off teleprompter that he flubbed then went into questions from pre approved reporters. He have had a list and told everyone. Not exactly a Trump style free for all.
I don’t think that reassured anyone. Some of the comments on Twitter were flat out unhinged from the left.

It’s a Wonderful Life.

But instead of an Angel getting wings each time a bell rings, every time the MSM plays a clip of a Biden moment an Ignorant Dem understands they have been lied to.

It will be interesting to see how the Obama cabal responds to this presser. Are they going to go thermonuclear and have Biden’s cabinet members begin to leak more aggressively to the press, maybe even on-the-record? Is the Hur tape going to leak? I think they’ve painted themselves in a corner with the NY Times editorials and off-the-record comments of both Pelosi & Schumer.

Well, after the presser, it seems Brandon demonstrated that he is like a “box of chocolates”. On any given occasion you don’t know which Brandon you’re going to get, with the caveat that the Brandon sampled later in the day is more likely to be filled with crap.

If the debate was Jimmy Carter’s melee moment, I truly think we are looking at 1980 again.

The next 12 years will look like 4 Trump followed by 8 of Desantis.

Observation on mental testing of Biden. His refusal is like a billboard saying he is a basket case. That is because a clean MRI and independent neurologist’s report would boost his ratings by 5 points. Given that everyone has had a family member or known someone with this condition, Trump running brief commercials about his refusal might be effective.

It was not a press conference.

It was a poorly staged event made to look like a press conference. Arrangements were made ahead of time with certain reporters who agreed to play a part in production. Joe came out and said, “I have a list of people to call on.” Then he called on them. Then they read their part. Then Joe read his part. Then he said, “This concludes the press conference (production).”

Big Boy it was not.
Phony as a three dollar bill it was.

Steven Brizel | July 12, 2024 at 11:05 am

Notice that the only questions were from the mainstream media and that all of the questions asked were purely of the softball variety-noone asked him what his reaction was to the calls of fellow Democrats and the media which protected to him that now is begging him to withdraw from the race. The responses of “Mr Anyway” were largely incoherent, campagn rhetoric and I thought he blamed Israel for the lack of a ceasefire

Democrat chaos is Americas chaos

So, what do you think of what’s going on?

Oh, man, this Biden thing is a popcorn orgy, I mean, look at the disaster Democrats are facing by Biden not budging. Can’t wait to see how this plays out!

Actually, I meant what do you think of the overbearing food inflation, high gas prices and lack of decent paying jobs that is bleeding this country to death, not to mention the consequences of the massive invasion on our southern border of millions of psychotic criminals and Chinese soldiers being planted in wait?

I forgot about that.

Yeah, just like millions of Americans will forget about that when they vote this November.

You mean this is a psy-ops operation?

Nah, man, you’re too smart for fall for that.

We’ve heard almost nothing from Trump since the debate and the press isn’t covering him; proof positive that Trump is smart enough to let Biden dominate the news cycle while he can just watch the poll results….

inspectorudy | July 12, 2024 at 12:41 pm

This was nothing but a scripted softball game and not one question about America or the people of our country. Having a list of predecided reporters asking predecided questions about which none of our pressing problems was asked. It should have been called a NATO booster with anti-Trump messages thrown in.

John Sullivan | July 12, 2024 at 2:49 pm

Yesterday’s performance was another train wreck, but the bar was set so low after the debate that Biden’sdementia is being normalized. If the debate had not happened and this was his first unscripted senior meltdown on national TV, yesterday is what everyone would be calling “a disaster”.

Now, the DNC/MSM talking points will be “he could have been worse”. They will continue to lie to drag him over the finish line. And don’t forget, there will be piles and piles of mail in votes in PA. AZ, GA and MI that will turn up 48 hours after Election day that will put the Dems over the top.

When the enemy is forming a circular firing squad, do not get in the middle.
Steer clear and do not distract them.

barbiegirl ny | July 12, 2024 at 6:00 pm

Y’all keep forgetting what we’re dealing with. The degenerate, power-hungry, party-first scumbags are like injured, cornered animals, ready to strike out at any and all when it comes to its survival. Put nothing past these corrupt bastards. Trump is not a shoo-in. To continue to make it sound like he is is irresponsible. Those with the ability should be hammering away at the fact that unless EVERY AMERICAN CITIZEN votes this election day, hopefully most for Trump, we may all be in for one big disappointment. Remember, ILLEGAL ALIENS are likely voting, too!

Dems will have to put that cheat machine in overdrive!!!
