CA Democrat Katie Porter Says the Senate Primary Race She Just Lost Was ‘Rigged’ by Billionaires

“had the establishment running scared – withstanding 3 to 1 in TV spending and an onslaught of billionaires spending millions to rig this election.”

The Democrat primary race for the open Senate seat in California is now over and Adam Schiff won, to no one’s surprise. Although there were plenty of Democrats itching to get that nomination, it came down to Schiff and Rep. Katie Porter.

Porter did not take her loss well, and even suggested the race was rigged. Doesn’t that make her an election denier?

FOX News reports:

Katie Porter suggests billionaires rigged California Senate primary after losing to Adam Schiff

Senate candidate Katie Porter, D-Calif., on Wednesday suggested that the California primary race was rigged by “an onslaught of billionaires” after losing to her Democratic opponent, Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif.

The progressive Democrat did not win a single county, earning a statewide total of just under 14%. She finished nearly twenty points behind both Schiff and Republican candidate Steve Garvey and came in third place in Orange County, which she has represented since 2019.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Porter said her supporters “had the establishment running scared – withstanding 3 to 1 in TV spending and an onslaught of billionaires spending millions to rig this election.”

She said the results demonstrated that Californians were “hungry for leaders who break the mold, can’t be bought, and push for accountability in government and across our economy.”

“Special interests like politics as it is today because they control the politicians,” she said. “As we’ve seen in this campaign, they spend millions to defeat someone who will dilute their influence and disrupt the status quo.”

Don’t Democrats and the media usually frown on this kind of talk?

The Washington Examiner reminds us that this is actually not anything new for Democrats:

Katie Porter joins the long line of election-denying Democrats

Rep. Katie Porter (D-CA) recently joined a distinguished group of politicians that includes Hillary Clinton and Stacey Abrams: she is now an election denier.

Porter ran for the California Senate seat that was held by Sen. Dianne Feinstein for decades until her death last year. But in the jungle primary election on Tuesday, she was soundly defeated by Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Republican Steve Garvey, who will face off in November’s general election.

Someone of higher rank among Democrats must have called Porter and ordered her to clarify because she later posted this message on Twitter/X:

Here’s the worst part for Porter.

What a shame.

I’d have expected nothing less from this awful woman.

One look at her has me running scared.

If I understand Ms. Porter correctly, she is contesting the election results, which by the Left’s rules, makes her an election denier. No?

But if Trump or anyone in his base challenges Traitor Joe, we all go to jail!

Milhouse in reply to Ghostrider. | March 10, 2024 at 6:38 am

You do not understand her correctly. She is not contesting the results; she agrees that she got fewer votes. She’s alleging that the election was rigged, not by dishonest manipulation of the votes but of the voters. So it’s the same as Trump complaining about the Russia hoax, the news industry conspiracy to suppress the news of the Hunter Biden laptop, the Zuckbucks program that funded registration drives in Dem strongholds and not in Rep ones, and all the other ways in which voters were dishonestly manipulated into voting against him. All of which were sleazy but legal, but they justify a claim that the election was “rigged”, in the sense that the result, although accurate, was unfair.

Nobody would have raised an eyebrow had Trump confined his complaints to that sort of thing. The “denier” thing comes entirely from his alleging that even with this giant thumb on the scales he still won the vote, and merely lost the count. Which may be true, but it’s a very different kind of claim.

By the way, Stacy Abrams also never claimed that the count was rigged against her, or that she actually got more votes than Kemp; her (false) claim was always that Kemp had dishonestly suppressed the vote in her strongholds, preventing her supporters from voting in large enough numbers to change the result. The evidence showed the opposite, but that was her claim.

Feinstein going to be replaced by white male candidate.

How can Dems be so racist and sexist?? Won’t somebody please think about kamala and laphonza??

So billionaires supported pencil neck Schiff?

That’s the most concerning thing.

How many Democrat heads in California will explode when they find out “their guy” is Jewish?

paracelsus in reply to The Gentle Grizzly. | March 8, 2024 at 4:35 pm

    only, only by birth

Why would that matter to them, considering that Feinstein was Jewish and so is Boxer. Most Democrats don’t actively hate Jews; they just support the Jews’ enemies, not because that’s what they are but for reasons of their own. The actual antisemites probably didn’t vote for him.

Or maybe Fat, Drunk/Ugly and Stupid is no way to go thru life or win an election

2smartforlibs | March 8, 2024 at 10:08 am

Innsurection, election denier arrest her.

What a nasty skank, in so many ways

So disappointed to hear that she ran herself completely out of Congress …. NOT!

She has a face for radio, but I haven’t heard her yet.

The photo above reminds me of the girl George Costanza (of “Seinfeld”) was forced to date because her mother, a woman in charge of George’s unemployment benefits, was ready to cut him off.

thalesofmiletus | March 8, 2024 at 11:22 am

Democrats have been denying elections since Bush v. Gore, at the very least.

Since this is California, where leftist looniness is the most weighty metric, I thought Porter had a very solid shot. I’m not sure how she could have appeared like MORE of an angry leftist loon. It’s a puzzling outcome. Maybe she just didn’t get enough of the illegal alien mail-in votes.

MoeHowardwasright | March 8, 2024 at 12:39 pm

Bitter clinger to her leftist ideologies, pronouns and racial silos. She found out that a pencil neck moron beat her because he lives in W Hollywood. She just found out that it’s a big club and she ain’t in it. FJB

WTH are you talking about? Schiff doesn’t live in West Hollywood, either literally or metaphorically. He lives in Burbank, with his wife and children.

That picture. Woof.

In those famous word of John McClane: “Welcome to the party, pal!”

Well she could move to Atlanta. I here there’s a DA position coming open.

So Soros found your technique lacking?
Cope and seethe, sister.

Commenters here seem to think that physical beauty is a necessary component of good character.

Look at Maxine Waters… You’d call that beauty? The woman lost because she lost. She needs to get over it and go og with her life.

Well, if she’s gonna be an elected shitbag, then at least she could be worth looking at.

As rhhardin stated, she’s got a face for radio. We just haven’t heard her yet.

About as much as I believe that good character is a necessary component of political aspiration.

You lost. Get over it and move on.

Porter is the ugly girl (within and without) who can’t stand getting constantly rejected.

Porter is signed to star in a new thriller about a fat, ugly Dhimmi-crat who vents her fury at being perennially rejected by uninterested men. The working title is “Fatal Subtraction.”

Now that’s something you don’t see every day. A CA demoKKKrat who doesn’t toe the party line.
