Israel Readying Civilian Evacuation and Military Op in Last Remaining Hamas Stronghold In Rafah On Egyptian Border

Gaza-Egypt border, particularly the Rafah Border Crossing, is a major terrorist supply route for Hamas terrorist fighters.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has directed the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to draw up a plan for the military takeover and the civilian evacuation of Rafah, the last major Hamas terror stronghold located on the Gaza-Egypt border.

The Israeli prime minister “ordered the military and security officials to come up with a ‘combined plan’ that includes both a mass evacuation of civilians and the destruction of Hamas’ forces in the town,” the Associated Press reported Saturday. “Israel says that Rafah is the last remaining Hamas stronghold in Gaza after more than four months of war,” the news agency noted.

The Egyptian border, particularly the Rafah Border Crossing, is a major terrorist supply route for Hamas’s leadership, who are facing near-annihilation at the hands of the advancing IDF troops.

Rafah, the southernmost part of the Gaza, contains a vast web of terror tunnels leading into Egypt. These cross-border tunnels play a crucial role in re-arming Hamas amid the ongoing IDF offensive and may enable Hamas’s top terrorists to escape the Israeli encirclement.

The destruction of Hamas in Rafah is key to Israel’s twin military objective of liberating the hostages and eliminating the Gaza-based terrorist leadership and fighting force.

The Jerusalem Post reported:

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has directed the IDF and the defense establishment to bring to the war cabinet a plan for both the evacuation of civilians in the south Gaza city of Rafah and the neutralization of the four Hamas battalions therein, the Prime Minister’s Office stated on Friday.

It is impossible to achieve the goal of the war without eliminating Hamas, and by leaving four Hamas battalions in Rafah,” the statement noted. “On the contrary, it is clear that intense activity in Rafah requires that civilians evacuate the areas of combat.”

“Therefore,” the statement continued, “Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered the IDF and the security establishment to submit to the Cabinet a combined plan for evacuating the population and destroying the battalions.”

Netanyahu’s order comes after President Joe Biden on Friday described the Israeli response to the Hamas’s mass-murder of innocent civilians on October 7 as being “over the top.” Biden’s comments reflect the opinion held by his senior staffers and some leading democrats. Former Democratic presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, on Wednesday called for the ouster of prime minister Netanyahu as the military operation against Hamas enters its final phase.

The Israeli armed forces continued counter-terror operations across Gaza, particularly in the southern terrorist bastion of Khan Yunis.

The IDF dealt a serous blow to Hamas on Saturday by eliminating its senior commander in the Rafah area. “The main target of the strike was Ahmed Al-Yaaqoubi, who the IDF and Shin Bet say was responsible for the security arrangements of senior Hamas officials and served as a senior officer in the Rafah district’s secret police department,” The Times of Israel reported.

“IDF troops are continuing joint operations in the Gaza Strip. The troops are killing terrorists, locating numerous weapons, and, in parallel, the IAF continues to strike terrorist infrastructure with the direction of the ground troops. The troops are continuing intensive activities throughout Khan Yunis, the northern and central Gaza Strip,” the Israeli military said in a press release on Saturday.

Israel hits Iranian-backed terror militias in Syria

Israel on Saturday conducted anti-terror strikes for the second day against Iranian-backed terrorist groups in neighboring Syria. Last month, the IDF carried out a series of drome and airstrikes against Iranian operatives and their proxy terrorists, eliminating several Iranian Islamic Guard (IRGC) generals, including Tehran’s head of intelligence in Syria.

The Israeli TV channel i24NEWS reported:

An attack near Damascus overnight, attributed to Israel by the Syrian defense ministry, had targeted a headquarters used by Iranian-backed militias in the Dimas area, Al-Araby Al-Jadeed cited local sources.

According to the same report, and another by Reuters, there were no injuries but only material damage. However, a third news site affiliated with Syrian opposition Voice of the Capital said there were two people killed in the attack.

Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) later reported that three people were killed in the attack, citing its local sources, but the identities were still unknown. (…)

Meanwhile, the Saudi channel Al-Hadth reported that there were two attacks Iranian-backed targets in the Dimas area of Damascus. Though it could have referred to an earlier attack on Friday mid-day attributed to Israel, less than 24 hours prior.

Besides Lebanon, Syria has emerged as a forward base for Iran to wage its terrorist war against Israel. The recent IDF strikes have severely disrupted Iran terrorist activities in Syria, forcing Iran to pull out all its top IRGC operatives from the country.

Hezbollah continues rocket barrages, drone infiltration of Israel

Days after Lebanon’s government refused to roll-back Hezbollah’s terrorist build up along the Israel’s northern border, the Iranian-backed terrorist militia continues to fire rocket barrages and send attack drones across the border.

The Times of Israel reported Sunday morning:

Warning sirens sound in the Galilee along the Lebanese border.

A rocket warning siren sounds in the community of Avivim, while a drone infiltration alert sounds in Iftach, the Mevuot Hermon Regional Council, Ramot Naftali, Malkia, Dishon, Lehavot HaBashan, Kfar Blum, Shamir, Kfar Szold, Amir, Neot Mordechai, Sdeh Nechemia and Gonen.

The sirens come a day after the Hezbollah terror group fired a barrage of over 30 rockets at northern Israel.

The Israeli military and air force conducted retaliatory strikes against Hezbollah terror targets.

“A short while after, IDF soldiers identified one of the launchers from which the fire was carried out in the area of Khilat al-Daba in Lebanon. An aircraft struck the launcher,” the IDF confirmed Sunday. “The IDF also struck a Hezbollah military compound in the area of Khiam. In addition, IDF artillery struck several locations in Lebanese territory.”

Hezbollah’s relentless cross-border attacks have forced nearly 100,000 Israeli civilians to flee their homes in the north. The IDF vowed to end Hezbollah’s strikes and incursions, in order to  enable the civilians to return to their homes. The Israeli military’s objective is “to change the security situation in the north in a way that will allow the residents’ safe return,” IDF’s Northern Command Maj.-Gen. Ori Gordin promised Friday.

Hamas delenda est.

Israel will predictably be unfairly vilified by feckless, stupid, and evil European, leftist dhimmis and American Dhimmi-crats, no matter what it does or doesn’t do. So, it should destroy Hamas, entirely.

The vile dhimmis and Dhimmi-crats can’t countenance Jews resisting and defending themselves against Muslim supremacists’/terrorists’/Islamofascists’ sadistic and genocidal aspirations, against them.

What these Muslim supremacists/terrorists/Islamofascists and their useful idiot allies in the west seek to achieve is nothing less than the physical, cultural and historical/theological genocide of Jews. This historical/theological genocide aspect occurred to me as I pondered these vicious, revisionist history propaganda lies spread by certain Muslims — that Jesus allegedly was a “Palestinian;” that non-Zionist Jews actually allegedly follow Islam; etc. Muslim supremacists clearly resent the fact that Jews and Judaism existed for millennia before their intrinsically and immutably supremacist, totalitarian, belligerent, hate-filled and pathology-laden ideology of “Submission” was founded. “Submission” blatantly and
brazenly ripped off Judaism and Christianity, and thus, many Muslims see Judaism and Christianity (and, Hinduism) as a threat to Submission’s claims to theological supremacy and legitimacy.

Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

I think the Juices are finally getting the message that no one else is going to keep them safe other than themselves.

The sad thing is it’s taken them this long to get the message but now that they have, they are going to end Hamas once and for all.

        “Juices?”

Israel has been fighting Muslim terrorists, fanatics and genocidal thugs since its founding in 1948. Israelis have never been under any illusions that someone else was/is going to keep them safe. Read up on Israel’s history and numerous wars — Israel has welcomed U.S. support, to be sure, but, has always understood that it bear primary responsibility for its own security.

The Jews also know as te juices which is a bit of a pisstake aimed at the lefts inability to say Jew without turning in a race raging hating rage ponies 😂

So much lip service, but behind the scenes there is love and approval that Israel is doing the dirty work. Except for very few, it’s heresy to publicly admit that Israel is doing something good and should finish the job.

There have been a number of reports that several Arab countries are giving Israel help on the down low and urging them to finish the job lest the Pali terrorists infest their countries. Notice none of the Arab world is letting Pali’s migrate there to get away from the fighting. They know what those bastards are and want nothing to do with them

First, screw candles. I wish that murderous treasonous bitch would shut up and go away.
Second, kill them all and let God sort them out
Third, go ahead and run to the deepest darkest hole you can find you terrorist slime. Israel will never stop hunting your cowardly asses and you will never be safe.
As for Biden’s comments, he doesn’t know what day of the week it is so anything he says should be disregarded out of hand.

What a mess. It’s hard to envision a scenario where Israel doesn’t clean-out Rafah AND eventually engage in more widespread kinetic action against Hezbollah in the north. At the end of the day, 100K Israelis forced from their homes in the north is simply not sustainable. Something is going to have to be done to (minimally) create a DMZ of significant distance as to insulate those home from attack.

Longer-term, if/when Hezbollah is de-fanged and neutered, Iran becomes FAR more exposed because the biggest deterrent to directly attacking Iran are the 10K+ Hezbollah missiles. If those are largely taken off the board, what’s to stop Israel from hitting Iran? Not much.

The reality is having such a weak POTUS is creating many of the problems; the Israelis are feeling increasingly isolated and the Iranians increasingly undeterred by the US. That’s a dangerous combination, for all parties.

    Elections have consequences.

Sadly for the next up coming elections wrong result will be incredibly bad news for Israel and incredibly good news for the Ukraine and a good election result will be the exact opposite for these two countries.

Breaking news out of Israel: earlier today, IDF found a complex HAMAS intelligence data center, complete with tunnel network, expansive server farm, back-up power banks and sleeping quarters for workers underneath the headquarters of UNWRA. When asked about it, the UNRWA chief said: “We had no clue.”

I assume that the chain of command for that intel center included the UN Security Council.

As has been noted, no matter what Israel does short of surrendering for extermination it will still be hated by all the world, including a Leftist-ruled US. So there is no need for moderation.

Israel is defeating the HAMAS regime in Gaza. Discussion of what happens next has been remarkably quiet.

Israel is in a state of war with HAMAS in Gaza, with said war starting with a surprise attack on the civilians of Israel by HAMAS. Under the rules of the game as I conceive them, there is no reason for either mercy or restoration of a HAMAS ruled state there. What makes sense is for Israel to openly and permanently annex Gaza. And as a condition of that annexation it needs to be declared a HAMAS-free DMZ and all civilians ejected. Once that is done, Israel can carefully and thoroughly search Gaza and find all military and terrorist installations and supplies. After thorough documentation and publication, they can be destroyed. And the world can be told that the process can be repeated for anyone else who threatens to repeat the Holocaust.

“What makes sense is for Israel to openly and permanently annex Gaza.”

Been waiting for someone to say that.

Inspect, document, publish, and destroy the material is well put. So, annex, occupy, then inspect…

For the population, my thought experiment has been leaning more toward “You call it a prison, we’ll make it a prison you can leave any time you want.” and “All the humanitarian aid you wanna send to Gaza … through us.”

One more reason Israel has to incapacitate Hezbollah. They can’t resolve Gaza while dealing with Hezbollah’s murderous antics.

UNRWA conveniently doesn’t appear to know a lot about what goes on literally directly under their noses eh. Very convenient.

President Biden calls Israel’s conduct in Gaza “over the top,”

Yes, trying to destroy Hamas, who started a war on October 7, and who never has hidden its long-range goal of destroying Israel, is “over the top.” 🙂

As a comparison, if terrorists invaded America from Mexico and committed the atrocities that were done on 7 Oct in Texas or Arizona killing a proportionate 30,000 Americans then taking over 1,000 hostages back to Mexico what do you think America would do to Mexico and those terrorists?
