Georgia Nursing Student Murder Suspect is Venezuelan Illegal Previously Arrested and Released in NYC

This week, the body of a young woman was found on the campus of the University of Georgia. She was later identified as a 22 year-old Augusta University nursing student named Laken Riley.
Foul play was suspected.

The Augusta University nursing student found dead on the University of Georgia’s campus Thursday has been identified as 22-year-old Laken Riley.
Augusta University President Brooks Keel said in a Friday statement the school extends its “deepest sympathies to the family of Laken Riley, a junior and Dean’s List student who studied at our campus in Athens.”
UGA said in a Friday statement that the school was “able to complete notification of the family in the death of the young woman whose body was found in the woods behind Lake Herrick yesterday afternoon. The victim has been identified as Laken Riley.”
“Laken was a student at UGA through Spring Semester 2023, prior to transferring to the Augusta University College of Nursing program at Athens, where she was currently enrolled,” the school said in a news release.
University police found Riley deceased with “visible injuries” in a forested area behind Lake Herrick around 12:30 p.m. Thursday after a friend called authorities to report that she left for a run Thursday morning and never returned. Investigators are investigating her death as a homicide.
The suspect in Riley’s murder was taken into custody Friday night. He is an illegal immigrant from Venezuela with at least one prior arrest.

A 26-year-old man has been charged with murdering nursing student Laken Riley, whose body was found dead on the University of Georgia campus after going for a run, according to police.
Jose Antonio Ibarra was arrested on Friday for allegedly kidnapping and killing the 22-year-old Augusta University junior, UGA Police Chief Jeffrey Clark told reporters at a press conference Friday night.
Ibarra was not a UGA student and is not a US Citizen, Clark said.
He and Riley had no prior relationship.
“He did not know her at all. I think this is a crime of opportunity where he saw an individual and bad things happened,” Clark said.
Riley, a dean’s list student and sorority member, was found dead with “visible injuries” in a wooded area near Lake Herrick around 12:38 p.m. Thursday.
Clark confirmed Friday that she died of “blunt force trauma.”

Fixing excessively long delays, typically 12 years and up before slime is executed, should be a priority. Maybe immediate deportation via human canon into the ocean should be adopted? The illegal problem is so frustrating.
It’s as if action needs to be taken against the individuals within NY state government that created the situation where criminals are released to continue to kill, maim or otherwise destroy good people’s lives.

If the court’s decision forcing Trump to pay a 4 or 5 hundred million dollar fine and disqualifying him from doing business in NY is finally held up, and if Trump is elected, I think we’ll see what is constitutional and what is not when the federal government cuts off funding to a state. Law can change.

There was no injury. The offense was endangering a child, and it was extremely minor. He gave his wife’s 5-year-old son a ride on the back of his moped, with no helmet on. That’s an offense, but you can’t throw someone in jail for it. That would violate the eighth amendment.
