A friend of my son works security for Walmart. Out of 100 shoplifters they apprehend maybe 4 or 5 are white and Latino. The rest are black and that’s in a community that might be 20% black.

Looks like almost everyone and their uncles had the same initial reaction to the out of touch FBI depiction. Shoplifters don’t hide anymore.
To be fair the first person I thought of when I saw this was Winona Ryder who was famously arrested for shoplifting and was/is a ‘rich white lady’.
Of course that doesn’t seem to be the profile of the incredibly large number of publicized organized theft rings we have seen in the past few years. For the FBI to use an image of ‘wealthy white women’ to accompany their report on this class of criminal is at best a bad mistake and at worst an intentional attempt to fulfill some sort of SJW agenda narrative.
My cousin is one of those people that catch shoplifters in Wal Mart. I just asked him to estimate the percentage of each race. He said 10% white 10% hispanic 80% black. This is an area that’s 60% white, 30% black, and 10% hispanic. Or close to it.
