Nothing To See Here: Democrats’ Continued Attacks on Americans’ Rights, from Freedom of Speech to the Right To Keep And Bear Arms

Nothing To See Here: Democrats’ Continued Attacks on Americans’ Rights, from Freedom of Speech to the Right To Keep And Bear Arms

And other things the media under-reported last week.

All your guns are belong to us, wail the Democrats and their propagandist media arm in the wake of any shooting, and the recent Maine shooting by a known threat (he apparently told anyone who would listen that he was going to shoot up some place and lots of people) was no exception. They fail, as always, to understand not only the laws in place (and unenforced) but the Constitution of these United States.

The only even remotely possible way to take our guns would be a repeal of the Second Amendment. And I don’t see that happening, and even if it did, I’m not sure how many people would comply with the revocation of a God-given right, but at least their gun-grabbing would resemble something Constitutional if they somehow got a repeal.

Not sure what is going on with this, but it seems worth noting.

There has to be a reason that Democrats are working so hard to destroy any semblance of competitive academic excellence on the world stage or even here in America. It’s almost as if they want Americans to be the most ignorant, uneducated drooling idiots on the planet. But why?

Ridiculous tyrant-wannabe Sen. Amy Klobucher (D-MN) is on a mission to ensure that there is no dissent anywhere on the internet. Democrats and their media hactivist liars are convinced that we would believe their absolute hackery and lies if only we didn’t have access to anything else. They truly believe we cannot think for ourselves, hold any ideas we didn’t glean online, or think a single thought not fed to us by some by media or government hack. It’s beyond insulting.

Glenn Greenwald: “Sen. Klobuchar Pressures Amazon to Blacklist Rumble/Substack.”

Newsbusters: “Lawmakers Pressure Amazon to Censor Alexa’s So-Called ‘Election Misinformation’”

Matt Taibbi makes the case for making Klobucher “the face of the digital censorship movement,” and it’s hard to argue with his logic: “Note to Readers: On ‘Project Amy’.”

The Biden administration, getting a pass from SCOTUS for some unfathomable reason, is already gearing up to silence speech it dislikes.

Hot Air: “FTC to Use Child Psychologists to Regulate Social Media”

They are well and truly shocked to learn that years of suppression of conservative voices didn’t win a single heart or mind to their crazy. That’s why they are in such a tizzy about Elon Musk buying Twitter and unleashing (however modestly) non-Democrat, non-leftist, non-woke voices. They didn’t hear us, so they deluded themselves into believing we were with them.

They’ve been railing against Fox News for years because they seem to honestly believe that if only we could only hear Teh Narrative, we’d be totally all-in on anti- and unAmerican Democrat policies. Stop laughing, this seems to be driving their anti-free speech, anti-First Amendment madness.

Liberal (an actual liberal and seemingly more and more reluctant Democrat) Ruy Teixeira calls this phenomenon the “Fox News fallacy.” “The Worst Fox News Fallacy of Them All: If voters don’t love Bidenomics it must be because they are manipulated and misinformed.”

It’s really kind of sad if you think about: you can’t win in the marketplace of ideas, so you shut down anyone who disagrees with you, puff yourself up because no one is pushing back (they can’t because you shut them down), and then find out that it was all a complete and self-created illusion. Enforced silence didn’t actually mean agreement and support. In fact, everyone who was silenced, cancelled, and falsely accused and persecuted just got super angry as well as not changing their minds one bit. Who could have foreseen that? Oh, right, everyone . . . who is not them.

And finally, when good things happen:

I love to see Republicans with a backbone. Such a refreshing and welcome change.

This child mutilation craze won’t stop until it hits them where it hurts: in the wallet.

I think the left is just being consistent- no guns, no truth, no brains.

It’s odd, the Dems pretty much control everything. The Dems also seem to fear everything. Must be a miserable way to live.

It looks like a full-time job: identifying and reporting all of the news that is unreported by the MSM. I’m glad somebody does it!

“Democrats continued attacks on Americans’ rights”

Qualified immunity is the true curse of this nation. Winning a popularity contest to govern should not be a license to defecate on the LaW oF tHe LaNd, sworn to uphold, and implement whateverhoweverwhenever tyranny with impunity.

The remedy is plain: those who egregiously and aggressively conspire and attack the plain, enumerated civil rights of American citizens should be imprisoned or executed for their seditious, anti-constitutional crimes.

Unless or until these punishments are applied, we are simply engaged in repeated political m*st*rbation before the courts as these seditious, anti-constitutional actors continue in their crimes against American citizens.

That is my TED talk. Thank you.

The world hasn’t felt this wholly dysfunctional since 1979/1980. Biden seems hellbent on making Jimmy Carter Great Again.

Bad enough that the return of the 70s brought back bell bottoms.
But it brought back (to the forefront) the same stupid crap that Carter was involved in, in spades.

      HippieFest ’24, here I come.

The msm uses omission as one of their most potent weapons. They can truthfully say that they covered any controversial event. They don’t tell you what they left out of their report. It’s usually context but sometimes they leave out one word or a sentence that makes the original statement’s intent clear. People like Trump have seen this happen over and over again. With the rise of online news, you would think it would make the msm a little more circumspect but you would be wrong. They still act like what they say is the truth with no other viewpoints. Because of this, I predict a death spiral for corporate news agencies. Hate news outlets like msnbc and cnn will survive because they are not news but opinions for the weak-minded. It is interesting to watch as they move into the Palestinian’s side after their horrible attack on Israel. We all knew it was coming but to see it, happening night after night is still a shock.

Incredible, You yourself spread a gross lie about President Trump in post ostensibly focused on lies and propaganda. President Trump called is detractors losers, not his supporters. Exactly the opposite. Really shameful. No different than the democrats you criticize. And what does it say about a Desantis campaign that is the source of the lie you blindly repeat out of TDS?

henrybowman in reply to Concise. | November 1, 2023 at 2:26 pm

“President Trump called is detractors losers, not his supporters.”
Your claim is true, the tweet is false.
However, Trump admits that his original promise was baseless because “there was no legal method” to force Mexico pay for the wall. When Trump promised to do this, we all assumed he was planning to make it happen “voluntarily” because of his legendary skills at dealmaking, but apparently Trump was depending on the existence of some law that he should have known didn’t actually exist, as the rest of us already understood.

Concise in reply to henrybowman. | November 1, 2023 at 2:54 pm

Uh, no. He used the powers available to him as president, political and diplomatic with respect to Mexico.. Your assumptions are on you only and don’t reflect the views of anyone else. And any newspaper publishing something like Fuzzy did would be compelled to issue an embarrassing correction.

henrybowman in reply to Concise. | November 1, 2023 at 4:59 pm

“He used the powers available to him as president, political and diplomatic with respect to Mexico.”
And those avenues failed him… so I don’t understand your argument.
Though I do agree a correction to the article/tweet is in order.

Concise in reply to henrybowman. | November 1, 2023 at 5:26 pm

President Trump didn’t fail at controlling the border, that would be Biden.

LOL, what correction? Did you watch the clip? He said what he said.

Concise in reply to henrybowman. | November 4, 2023 at 9:51 am

No, I watched the speech. He was quite clearly and unequivocally mocking the critics who claimed that that Mexico wouldn’t pay. You probably also believe the Charlottesville lie. Or are wiling to spread the propaganda. You’re as bad as Biden. I would dismiss you as an editor.

Ah, so the only people who are losers for believing his key and main campaign promise are his critics. The people who believed it in good faith are not losers. They just got played on the wall like they did on prosecuting Hillary, repealing ObamaCare, eliminating the federal deficit, and a long list of other broken campaign promises? Naw. Not buying it. He said he would build the wall and make Mexico pay for it, now he is saying that his political enemies were stupid to believe it (but, you must know, they never did believe it, the only people who did were on the right, his own voters. i.e. the “losers.”).

And this is where Trump cultists go off the rails. Of course I don’t believe the crap about his comments about Charlottesville or any of the other times the media lied about what he said. I did FOUR YEARS of defending him against that type of thing (usually tagged with “Media Hoaxes” if you want to look it up, here’s one to get you started).

But this is NOT that. Unless you are so deeply Trumpified that basic logic escapes you. Which it must since you leap from my point about what Trump said about the losers who believed him about building the wall and having Mexico pay for it to my being “as bad as Biden.” That’s so off the rails crazy and stupid that I don’t know what more to say. That kind of crazy is exactly why people don’t like Trump supporters, and by “people” I am including people like me who voted for him twice and spent four years defending him against UNFAIR characterizations of his words. This is not unfair. Not by miles.

Azathoth in reply to henrybowman. | November 2, 2023 at 3:27 pm

You people keep saying that Trump didn’t make Mexico pay for the wall.

      But he did.

He got them to enforce the ‘first safe country protocol’ that is part of how refugees are processed.

And that saved– or would have saved– the US more than enough money to pay for the wall.

Capitalist-Dad | November 1, 2023 at 12:25 pm

How many government agencies need to know about a potential danger before they take action? Every one of the “lone wolves” wind up being known wolves. In this case known to the army reserve unit that committed the shooter briefly and barred him from its armory, the mental health facility that held him a few weeks, the local police (warnings from the shooter’s family). How many others? State police? FBI? Yet innocents are dead and the only remedies that pop into mastermind pea brains are: (1) restricting rights of totally innocent gun owners, (2) destroying due process rights so gun manufacturers and sellers are guaranteed to lose any civil suits, and (3) repeal of the 2nd Amendment—that is, a bald admission they have zero knowledge of exactly what the Bill of (Unalienable) Rights actually is. In a Red Pill America all such incompetents, tyrants, and despots would be recognized and excised from power.

Both the military and his family communicated to various law enforcement authorities.
The LE folks went to his house, but /shrug/ he wasn’t home. So they gave up, it seems.

alaskabob in reply to GWB. | November 1, 2023 at 1:17 pm

A gesture of concern…. box checked…. off to Dunkin Donuts. The military did their part to try and stop this shooter…. how more explicit was it needed when they fully explained the risks? IF they ad continued to search… then off the hook… but not now and not here with this case. Oh..but be in D.C. J6 and one is tracked down like a rabid dog.

henrybowman in reply to GWB. | November 1, 2023 at 2:28 pm

“We need more gun laws so we can fail to enforce those, too. Oh, and defund the pollice!”

(he apparently told anyone who would listen that he was going to shoot up some place and lots of people)
If there was a situation on which you could slap the label “cry for help” this was it! He practically pleaded “Please stop me!”

The Leftist mindset is one of ruin and destruction. They can create no good themselves, only corrupt that which is already good.

Whitewall in reply to Othniel. | November 2, 2023 at 8:50 am

True. Nihilism that leads to anarchy. Some people believe that would be great. Little do they understand what would happen. Women will not fare well. Young women even worse.

Tell me again why law abiding citizens should have more gun laws thrown at us..

I’m really trying to understand you sister

NO CIVILIANS NEED ASSAULT WEAPONS UNLESS THEY ARE ACTUALLY GOING TO FIGHT IN A WAR.

If by “assault weapons” he means AR-15s, which these people usually do, then why would someone actually going to fight in a war need or want one? As we all know, the AR-15 is not a weapon of war. Someone going to war would want an actual assault rifle, i.e. one with selective fire, not an “assault weapon” that does not have an automatic mode
