Irish Police Investigating Former UFC Fighter Conor McGregor Over Comments About Dublin Riots
“There is grave danger among us in Ireland that should never be here in the first place, and there has been zero action done to support the public in any way, shape or form with this frightening fact”
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship fighter Conor McGregor was born and raised in the Dublin area. When the Dublin riots broke out last week, he made numerous comments on social media criticizing the leadership of Ireland and the city of Dublin over their response to the violent crime that caused the riots.
The Hill reported:
Conor McGregor criticizes Irish leaders’ response to stabbing: ‘Not good enough’
Former UFC fighter Conor McGregor criticized the Irish police and other leaders for their response to a stabbing this week in Dublin, arguing Ireland is facing danger from crime and authorities have failed to combat it.
McGregor, who is Irish, weighed in on social media as Irish authorities condemned rioters for taking to the streets after rumors spread that a foreign national was responsible for the stabbing outside a school in Dublin…
“There is grave danger among us in Ireland that should never be here in the first place, and there has been zero action done to support the public in any way, shape or form with this frightening fact. NOT GOOD ENOUGH,” McGregor posted on X, formerly Twitter.
“Announce our plan of action!! What are we waiting for? Your statements of nothing are absolutely worthless to the solving of this issue,” he wrote in another post while dismissing statements from Ireland’s president, prime minister and other officials.
Now Conor McGregor is being investigated by the Irish police for supposed hate speech.
FOX News reports:
Irish police investigating former UFC fighter Conor McGregor’s tweets about Dublin riots: report
Former UFC fighter Conor McGregor is reportedly under investigation for a series of tweets addressing last week’s riots in Dublin, sparked by the stabbing of five people, including three children.
The riots exploded after rumors circulated online that the man responsible for the attack outside a Dublin school, was a foreign national. Authorities have not disclosed the suspect’s nationality.
McGregor did not condone the rioters, but took aim at Ireland’s leadership and its immigration policies, saying a “change” was necessary.
“Innocent children ruthlessly stabbed by a mentally deranged non-national in Dublin, Ireland today,” McGregor tweeted in response to a video of Irish Garda commissioner Drew Harris condemning the violence as “disgraceful” and pushed by a “hooligan faction driven by far right ideology.”
“Drew, not good enough. There is grave danger among us in Ireland that should never be here in the first place, and there has been zero action done to support the public in any way, shape or form with this frightening fact,” McGregor tweeted. “NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Make change or make way. Ireland for the victory. God bless those attacked today, we pray.”
Here are some of the offending tweets:

She was abducted by an evil terrorist organization. What is with you and your government and your paid for media affiliates constantly down playing / attempting to repress horrific acts that happen to children. You are a disgrace. He clearly did not condone the riots.
I do not condone last nights riots. I do not condone any attacks on our first responders in their line of duty. I do not condone looting and the damaging of shops. Last nights scenes achieved nothing toward fixing the issues we face. I do understand frustrations however, and I do… https://t.co/FFx7d0ZROb

Prime Minister Conor McGregor would fight for the Irish people and against the corrupt Irish Government that is now investigating him for speaking out against the stabbing of 5 people including 3 children.

McGregor should consider it, because the current leadership in Ireland is beyond parody.

Ireland sure is giving Australia and Canada a run for their money when it comes to controlling what its citizens are allowed to think and say.
At least the Kiwis seem to have tacked back to the right, firing the former totalitarian progressive in spectacular order. But you’re right, Australia, Canada and the UK have really let their masks slip.
It’s quite fun here at the moment because the left and the media (but I repeat myself) are absolutely losing their minds.
There has been no grace period at all. The day after the coalition documents were signed someone in the media was reporting that the Government is a failure because they haven’t fixed all the issues yet.
When the previous far left Government won in 2020 they campaigned on doing nothing (literally – focus on Covid, no big changes) but immediately started bringing in extremely devisive race based policies, anti business policies etc.
The new Government campaigned on throwing out those non-mandated policies and won the election but now the left are saying they don’t have a mandate to reverse those policies and they’re going to destroy our democracy etc.
More and more people are waking up due to this which is great.
I don’t think there are any countries outside the USA where there is freedom of speech.
It seems the entire Anglosphere went full INGSOC. Us included.
Wherever there are leftist governments forcing WOKE policies down the throats of an un willing citizenship, there will be crises of confidence.
Who made diversity sacred? Why are nations constantly being contorted to appease alien ideologies and cultures, whose members seek only to derive the economic benefits of the West , while rejecting our culture, condemning our way of life and disparaging our achievements.?
When you live in a country that BARELY gives lip-service to free speech, this is what you can expect. The Irish Constitution’s provision on ‘fundamental rights’ says this about freedom of expression:
“The State guarantees liberty for the exercise of the following rights, subject to public order and morality:
-The right of the citizens to express freely their convictions and opinions.
-The education of public opinion being, however, a matter of such grave import to the common good, the State shall endeavour to ensure that organs of public opinion, such as the radio, the press, the cinema, while preserving their rightful liberty of expression, including criticism of Government policy, shall not be used to undermine public order or morality or the authority of the State.
–The publication or utterance of seditious or indecent matter is an offence which shall be punishable in accordance with law.”
IOW, sure you can say whatever you want so long as it does not ‘undermine public order’ or the ‘AUTHORITY OF THE STATE.’
This concept now infiltrating into the USA’s highest levels is standard for the Commonwealth Nations…. “domestic tranquility” …enforced silence and subjugation over perceived problems. The Divine Right of Kings replaced with the “Right” of Governments. Yes… the USA has “promote the common good and ensure domestic tranquility.” but it was not to be a fist in a steel gauntlet….until now.
“public order andorality” exception
Nuff said.
3 weeks ago, thousands marched in pro-Hamas rallies in Ireland, but it’s supposedly MacGregor that ran afoul of bullshit hate speech laws.
The Hill plays the messaging game when reporting “their response to a stabbing this week,” which happened to be five stabbings committed by a naturalized deranged Nigerian with a criminal record, but math is colonial oppression. Irish bureaucrats granted the man citizenship after he committed acts of vandalism while behaving like a madman.
And then Sinn Fein steps in to co-opt a popular rebellion.
EU lost to open borders lefties. smh
Leftists destroy everything they touch. There is no exception.
Typical leftist response. Criminalize any opposition to the elitist government. Normal citizens mention the unmentionables—including how crappy their government is—at their own peril, and are “free” to operate and comment within limits defined by government.
All they are doing is encouraging more bad behavior from those they are trying to cover for.
Anyone who has a problem with Mr. McGregor expressing his opinions should just step right up in his face and tell him about it. I wholeheartedly encourage them to do so!
Now “hate speech” has evolved to “any speech critical of the government.” We told you so.
Someday JK Rowling will be recognized along with Orwell as one of the great subversive writers. Dumbledore’s great sin was falling for the “greater good”.
What a show of bravery from the powers that be in Ireland. Those courageous defenders of the public good are investigating Conor McGregor for critricizing them about their handling of the stabbing of 3 children, 1 woman, and a man. Looks like they’re not as concerned about the stabbing as the criticicism. If this turns into a real fight, I’m betting on McGregor.
Hold his trial in the octagon.
Hope Conor McGregor runs and wins
You know what would REALLY freak out the Irish government on this?
Trump publicly backing McGregor.
That would have them roll out the champagne. This isn’t about how angry can you make an American liberal about McGregor it is about can McGregor bring positive change to Ireland.
