Report: Pictures Reveal Rep. Jamaal Bowman Pulled a Fire Alarm

Breitbart News published pictures of the obvious FIRE alarm Bowman pulled before the House vote.

Breitbart News published pictures of the obvious fire alarm socialist Rep. Jamaal Bowman pulled before the House voted on the stopgap bill.

Breitbart News also learned that Bowman “ripped down two signs warning a second-floor door in the Cannon House Office Building was for emergency use only before pulling the fire alarm and running out through a different door on a different floor.”

Sure sounds like insurrection behavior!

No matter what, Bowman comes out looking like a fool. There are literally signs everywhere about the doors being only an emergency exit and that the alarm is a fire alarm.

Bowman insists he thought the alarm would open the door.

So you admit you pulled an alarm? You also missed all of the emergency exit only signs?

Of course, he didn’t. It looks like he tried to cover his tracks.

The source told Breitbart News:

“He ripped both of them off the door and threw them both on the floor,” the source familiar with the investigation told Breitbart News.

“Then, he leaned into the door and tried to open it,” the source added. “Then, he pulled the fire alarm. When the alarm begins going off, he turned around and ran—going down to the first floor of Cannon and exited out of a different door then made his way across the street to votes. At no point did he say to anyone ‘sorry this is a mistake’ or ‘sorry I pulled the fire alarm by mistake’ or anything like that. He didn’t say anything to anyone until he was confronted by Capitol Police later. By doing what he did he caused a whole building to be evacuated. Capitol Police and emergency services need to treat any alarm like a real threat until they know otherwise.”

It also looks like Bowman violated Code of the District of Columbia: § 22–1319. False alarms and false reports; hoax weapons:

(a) It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to willfully or knowingly give a false alarm of fire within the District of Columbia, and any person or persons violating the provisions of this subsection shall, upon conviction, be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and be punished by a fine not more than the amount set forth in § 22-3571.01 or by imprisonment for not more than 6 months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Prosecutions for violation of the provisions of this subsection shall be on information filed in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia by the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia.

As Fuzzy blogged, Rep. Nikole Malliotakis (R-NY) has a resolution to expel Bowman. Rep. Lisa McClain has one to censor Bowman.

Yet another example of a Dem doing anything and everything he thinks is needed to win. Consequences be damned. We on the right….we say there are laws and rules.

    >>Yet another example of a Dem doing anything and everything he thinks is needed to win.<<

And getting away with it because he's (1) black and (2) a democrat. And nothing ever happens to a democrat let alone a black democrat to hold them accountable for their illegal acts and actions. So expect this incident to quickly be memory-holed and forgotten. Guaranteed.

A lazy entitled moron could read that sign and think that pulling the fire alarm would open the door; therefore saving him some time and energy. I therefore have to give him a pass.

Nope, nope. and nope. I won’t give this ignorant idiot a “pass”. The darn sign clearly indicated it was “Emergency Use Only” which implies that an “emergency” has to be occurring (eg. fire, flood, insurrection) before using the door. There was no emergency that would justify his use of the door. There was no emergency that would justify his pulling the alarm switch. Just an ignorant idiot that thought he was above following the rules and that should be cited for at least causing a false alarm. That it occurred during important votes on the House floor makes it even worse. But there we go and here we are.

So no, Bowman isn’t getting a “pass” from me. He should be charged accordingly for his actions and punishment should result. If this had been a republican pulling the same shenanigans that’s the least the democrats would be calling for.

After I wrote my comment I realized my error. I meant I don’t think he did it to delay the vote. I give him a pass on thinking pulling the alarm would open the door. I can see how a lazy entitled moron might think pulling a clearly marked fire alarm would only open that specific door. You have to read the sign and think like an idiot and you will get my point.

I had assumed you just forgot to put the sarc tag on your post. If read with total sarcasm, it’s perfect.

Put him in the DC city jail.

What a sorry excuse of a man. Man up and own your action, pal. I’d have more respect for the guy if he came out and said, “Yeah, I pulled the fire alarm. I was p**sed about the vote and wanted to slow it down, so I did what I could.” After that, he could have added a milquetoast apology or gone belligerent about it, but at least he would have owned his action.

With the way he handled it, he effectively says that he’s a lying moron who can’t read or follow directions. But I suppose that describes most of the ruling class of politicians.

“With the way he handled it, he effectively says that he’s a lying moron who can’t read or follow directions”

Not needed to stay in good standing with The Party.

Neither is being able to understand spoken language, realizing that you’ve been out sick and away from work for several weeks, or remembering how to get into the doors of your own house,

Still not arrested I see. Shock, shock.

I could have come up with both better reasoning and writing than the statement he released. While on mescaline.

After all the J6 footage, how did this dumbass think that he would not be on camera? Nothing will happen to him, of course, as (D)ifferent rules apply.

It also looks like Bowman violated Code of the District of Columbia

I don’t believe DC laws do not apply to congresspeople on Capitol grounds. The only recourse is The House removing or censuring him.

I remember my grade schoolteachers explaining it was wrong to pull the fire alarm if there was not a fire!

My school had fire alarm boxes inside my school.

Someone put him up to it…grab his phone and check the texts, assuming it was sent in that mode versus whispered in his ear to maintain plausible deniability. No honor among thieves, cheats, or reprobates.

His excuse is funny enough. It’s made immensely funnier by AOC, MSNBC talking heads, etc. waxing indignant because we don’t believe such a childishly obvious story (he must have borrowed it from one of his less gifted middle schoolers). “How dare you!” they screech. Heh heh heh.

On top of that, they don’t understand why I don’t feel the need for such people–be they liars idiots or both–to run my life. They really expect us to take Bowman seriously. Heh heh heh.

Well, he does have a Doctorate in Education (he’s a “doctor” you know, like Jill)…must be the new and improved English as apparently he can’t read.

Perhaps he will employ the Nuremberg defense. The lever clearly orders one to push in and pull down. It is unnervingly imperative.

A principal didn’t know how to open a door. I guess that’s why too many schools can’t get kids to meet minimum standards.

He’s either a liar, or stupid, or both–and shouldn’t be in Congress with these kinds of ethics
