Rep. Jamaal Bowman cannot believe him pulling a fire alarm right before the House voted for the stopgap bill is such a big deal.
Dude. Just stop talking.
A reporter asked Bowman about the incident:
“I don’t know why this has gotten so much attention. I was literally just in a rush to go vote, man! That’s all it was!”
The reporter asked about repercussions.
“I mean, listen, I’ll take responsibility for what I did, you know, but like I said, I was in a rush to go vote, and, you know, an investigation will sort everything out.”
The reporter then asked if he talked to House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries:
“Oh yeah that’s day one [of the investigation.] I gotta keep that between me and the leader so I’m not going to share that publicly. But yeah we’ve been in touch with each other.”
