California Gov. Gavin Newsom Gets Rave Review From China

Newsom opens his visit to China by saying his state will always be partner on climate change. I suspect China’s plans for climate change are drastically different than the governor’s.

The last time I reported on my governor, California’s Gavin Newsom, he had stopped in Israel on his way to a week-long visit to China.

Newsom began his stay with a fairly bold assurance that California will always be a partner on climate issues no matter how the U.S. presidential election turns out next year.

Democrat Gavin Newsom’s visit comes as U.S.-Chinese relations witnessed a sharp deterioration in recent years due to trade disputes, U.S. support for self-governing Taiwan and human rights concerns, among other contentious issues.

Attempting to reinforce his state’s role as a global leader on climate change, Newsom began his visit with a climate-themed discussion at the University of Hong Kong. He told the audience they “can rely on California,” while addressing claims that the United States is not a reliable ally.

“I want you to know, regardless of what happens nationally, sub-nationally, you have a partner in the state of California,” he said.

Climate remains one area where collaboration is seen as possible and necessary. Both countries appear to have fully re-engaged in the run-up to the next U.N. climate change conference, which opens Nov. 30 in Dubai.

Newsom received rave reviews from the Chinese.

A new editorial published Monday by the Global Times, a nationalistic English-language tabloid published by the propaganda department of the ruling Communist Party, states that Newsom is one of the most esteemed U.S. officials to make the journey overseas—citing the governor’s first trip there as one of pragmatism as the U.S.-China relationship overall has been one of angst and vitriol in recent years.

“To be honest, Chinese people currently lack faith in Washington as a whole and have distrust toward some U.S. politicians. However, the welcome for Governor Newsom’s visit is sincere and warm, as ‘it is always a pleasure to greet a friend from afar,'” the editorial states.

The Global Times’ editorial also states that Newsom “developed a deep connection with China” when he was formerly mayor of San Francisco, commending him on attempting to make further inroads when China and the U.S. have more so been combative.

One has to wonder if Newsom enjoys the same deep connections with China that the Bidens do. But I digress.

It will be interesting to see what happens if China decides to take another direction regarding a climate change partnership with California, in light of its recent activities in the Middle East.

Amid the war between Israel and the Hamas militant group in the Gaza Strip, up to six Chinese warships have been operating in the Middle East over the past week, according to the Chinese Ministry of Defense.

According to a statement from the Chinese Ministry of Defense, the 44th Naval Escort Task Force has been in regular operations in the region since May. Last week, they also conducted a joint exercise with the Omani navy during a visit to Oman.

Following the successful completion of its visit to Oman, the Chinese naval escort task force arrived at Shuwaikh Port in Kuwait as scheduled on the morning of October 18. The Chinese maritime group embarked on a five-day goodwill visit to Kuwait.

I suspect China’s plans for climate change are drastically different than the governor’s.

Ten Years After did a song at Woodstock called “I’m going home”. It was a big hit. I see Newsom heard the song recently himself.

Checked it out … hadn’t heard that one … impressive guitar playing – so hard to sing and play lead at the same time.

A little hair-black and Newsom would look like Xi. Or Xi get highlights like his BFF from CA.

China’s climate agenda is to manufacture goods for the US so that the “carbon pollution” stays on their books, not ours.

Never mind that it’s all one atmosphere — it’s appearances that count.

For a guy who isn’t running for president, Gavin Newsom sure does act like a guy who’s running for president. Trips throug all the Battleground states this summer and now an globetrotting trip where he visits all the important people, including Biden’s handlers in China; Newsom likely want to assure the Chicom masters that continuity will be maintained.

I’m not sure what they’re cooking up for next fall. I suspect that whatever it is, Biden’s not even aware of it at this point (although I bet his wife is). My guess is they want Biden to stay in the race until he wins enough delegates to force a brokered convention at which point, party bosses can install whomever they want….like Newsom, or maybe Whitmer…or, that’s the ticket. The other possibility is that they’re really planning on Mike Obama with Newsom and Whitmer competing for the VP slot. But, I really think Obama is simply too lazy to even want the job. Either way, Joe Biden is not on the ticket next fall.

What else could be expected from Governor Hairdo? He luuurves him some CPC, and he’s willing to publicly fellate Xi if that would let him prove it. He does have a history of publicly fellating microphones, so Xi wouldn’t be all that much of a leap for Hairdo….

China endorsing him should be a sign.

Any potential US President that is willing to cut the country’s economic throat in homage to the gods of climate change is going to get rave reviews from China.

China has to keep over a billion people working or it collapses on itself, and that economic activity can only happen with China being a producer and the U.S. being a consumer.

Like calls to like. Newsom has implemented as much of soft communism as he can in the state.

If Newsom gets a big thumbs-up from CCP, then he has a very bright political future with the DNC.

The Chinese can keep him.

Please, we don’t want him back.

Communist game recognize communist game.

No surprise.

Xi Jinping tells Newsom, “Comrade Nu Sum, Chinamen love you more than all rice in China.”

So he’s in China for what? To get some pointers on how to be a better totalitarian communist? From the looks of Commiefornia I’d say he’s a quick study.

Of course China is all in on US States continued suicide. They are busy building coal fired power plants to produce all the solar panels and batteries. Total win for them.
I’m just surprised Gov Hair Gel flew over there for a photo op

Newsom fits right in with the CCP. They have the same communist mindset.

I wonder if Hairdo took notes about the “Deprogramming Camps” that Hillary wants everyone to go into? Probably.
