Air Force Colonel, Selected for Promotion to Brigadier General, Pushes DEI, CRT, and Racist Dogma

Air Force Colonel, Selected for Promotion to Brigadier General, Pushes DEI, CRT, and Racist Dogma

Air Force Colonel demonizes his fellow “white colonels” as racists and embraces racist propaganda – the result? Promotion to Brigadier General!

We have reported at length on Army General Mark A. Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and his replacement-in-waiting, Air Force General Charles Q. “C.Q.” Brown, who both seem to have a penchant for all things “woke”:

Now, from the Daily Signal, comes a disturbing report about an Air Force Colonel who seems to believe it is his place to lecture his fellow colonels about how racist they are: Air Force Colonel in Line for Promotion Preaches DEI Agenda, Endorses CRT Book

In the weeks following George Floyd’s death in 2020, a U.S. Air Force officer…accused his fellow “white colonels” of being the “biggest barriers” to addressing “racial injustice” in the military and being “blind to institutional racism.”

Col. Ben Jonsson’s 825-word commentary in the Air Force Times on July 1, 2020, recounts several examples of what he describes as “white defensiveness” in the aftermath of Floyd’s death. Jonsson concludes with an endorsement of critical race theory promoter Robin DiAngelo’s controversial book, “White Fragility: Why It’s So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism.”

“Dear white colonel, it is time to give a damn. Aim High,” Jonsson wrote.

After this thorough demonization of “white colonels,” sure to engender fissures in an already race-imbued military culture, and his embrace of divisive, now-greatly discredited CRT-based propaganda, you would think he would be next in line to be invited to retire after 20+ years of mostly honorable service.

But you would be wrong, as President Biden has nominated Johnsson for promotion to Brigadier (One-Star) General:

Earlier this year, President Joe Biden nominated Jonsson for a promotion. He’s currently one of more than 300 military officers awaiting U.S. Senate approval. Senate Democrats would like to rubber-stamp the promotions—including Jonsson’s—using an expedited Senate procedure known as unanimous consent, which bypasses consideration of each nominee individually.

Since March, however, Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., has objected to numerous unanimous content requests from Democrats, preferring the Senate instead consider the promotions individually until the Defense Department rescinds its divisive taxpayer-funded abortion policy.

As an aside, note that Senator Tuberville is NOT holding up military promotions, he is simply forcing the Senate to have a roll-call, on-the-record-for each-senator vote for each military nominee – something they should be doing anyway in my view. But the Democrat-controlled Senate can’t possibly bring itself to do that….

The Daily Signal continued:

Thanks to Tuberville’s hold, Jonsson’s promotion to Air Force brigadier general is receiving additional scrutiny. He is one of several military officers in line for a promotion who have espoused “woke” views that more closely align with the Left’s diversity, equity, and inclusion agenda than traditional American values.

“Col. Jonsson exhibited a toxic embrace of DEI policies that have no place in the U.S. military,” said William Thibeau, director of the Claremont Institute’s American Military Project. “His public characterization of ‘white colonels’’ blindness is inherently divisive and sends shockwaves through his command. When Jonsson addresses a group of airmen by race, he creates the exact boogeyman of racial tension he supposedly seeks to eliminate.”

This additional scrutiny has led to others taking note as well:

I, for one, can’t get out of my mind an image from a protest I drove past after the death of George Floyd in Westerly, Rhode Island, in which an elderly man held a sign saying “BLACK LIVES MATTER” with an absolute scowl on his face. His air of smug moral superiority has stuck with me and periodically reminds me that those who embrace racist, DEI/CRT-based lies and propaganda really do hate you and anyone else who doesn’t tow the leftist line.

It breaks my heart that such people not only inhabit the military, but are being promoted to higher and higher positions of authority.

Give him a “gravestone” promotion and shove him out the door. (I know: “dream on!”)

I imagine the rate of resignations will increase if this traitor gets his promotion.

When Trump wins there should be a housecleaning, including the military. It would be best if potential replacements are lined up before the election.

No surprise. Star ranks are all about whose butt you kissed.

This is why China is gearing up for war: they know they’ve already destroyed America from within. The rest will be history,

“It breaks my heart that such people not only inhabit the military, but are being promoted to higher and higher positions of authority.”

That’s the plan. Replace competent officers and senior enlisted with like minded sycophants. They’ll suck hard on those hemerrhoids to get promoted.

Not very long ago that USAF Col would have been fried for writing and publishing that racist and insulting article. “Conduct Prejudicial to Good Order and Discipline” comes to mind, as does “Conduct Unbecoming an Officer”.

The fact that he wasn’t and is instead being considered for promotion to flag rank is a indication of the results of the quiet purge the left has executed in our military since at least the 1970s. When something so foul has been forced upon an organization for so long it unfortunately becomes the norm.

Even the most motivated and dedicated have the choice to roll over and accept it or get out. Thus eventually leading to no unpoisoned officers or senior SNCOs to rebuild upon.

The question is whether it has reached the point of no recovery and I fear that it has, at least by ‘normal’ means.

Watching what is happening in all the services, both material failures and personnel failures; we are going to lose a major conflict soon. And looking at the personnel problems, it is likely that the military will be used against the American people before they are used against a foreign enemy.

Key point now is if you have someone in the military, try to convince them that it is time to NOT re-enlist and/or to resign. And if you have military aged family, do not allow [as much as possible] them to join what is now the United States military.

The Soviet Union set in motion all of this….. they didn’t last long enough to see it through….. but they were successful. Pyrrhic victory? Not totally…. the CCP are the primary benefactors …. that is still communism. Russia may still have the last laugh.

We’ve e been losing conflicts for a long time

If the upper ranks are becoming unfit, then it is high time the lower ranks revolt against them. Hold fast Senator Tuberville.

“I’m trying to keep politics out of the military.”
Why are you the only one, Senator?
God forbid you should get hit by a Hillibus or something.
Then where would we be?

Obviously the Col knows what his superiors expect of him.

I’m sure Captain Nault knows this well: there are 10 O-6s for every flag officer, an ample talent pool to replace all the woke officers who’ve gotten a star during the Biden administration. I just hope he or someone sympathetic is compiling a list of who needs to go and who should replace them.

Its never what you know. Still wonder how the worst got to the top of the Stasi.

This interview by Tucker of Douglas McGregor is shocking and sad. Apparently we couldn’t even win a war against Jamaica

Time to say something truthful, but possibly racist.
I think the black man is setting himself up for enslavement even worse than their current situation.
I’d love to take a 1930s sharecropper from Alabama and let them see the current black man. There would be one of two reactions…marvel at the fact that blacks are more obese than whites and reel at the current behavior of blacks.

Chalk up another win for President Xi.

I have contacted Senator Tuberville through his website to express my strong support for his action involving these perfumed princes and their ideology which is straight out of Marx (with a few wrinkles).

As mentioned above, Matt Lohmeier’s book “Irresistible Revolution – Marxism’s goal of conquest and the unmaking of the American Military” lays bare what is going on with these people.

I recommend any who agree with the Senator to express their support.

Could we stop spending money on those bastards next pet projects already?

With an alliance network that could see us fully defended with a third of what we are spending on why on Earth are we behaving like Yamamoto has just bombed Pearl Harbor and Hitler’s U Boats are interdicting the Atlantic trade?

We are literally pawning off the next generation in order to give that brigadier general his next pet project.

The only way to get the military out of the “Only democrats matter” frame is by making it clear Republicans will slash your budget down to what is actually needed to defend this country and end your career if you fight us to just like Democrats.

This is notable because we sold out a lot of principles (i.e. budget deficit) in order to super charge military funding when we had power.

Who is surprised? I saw this starting up in the 80’s when I was in and it has accelerated since. Daughter just called from overseas. She is appalled at the behavior of the senior NCO’s. Last night their Top (1st Sgt) went out partying with the troops and she got so drunk she passed out and had to be carried back to the barracks by the troops. Not much of a way to install respect in the rank
