Nothing To See Here: “Foibles,” Global “Boiling” Dominate ‘News;’ Militarized IRS, DePopulation, Global Minimum Tax Not So Much

And other things the media under-reported last week

Another week, another litany of Democrat hacktivist media fail: On the one hand, attempting to minimize the absolute scandal of Biden Family foreign influence peddling and pay-to-play schemes by pinning them on Hunter Biden and his “foibles,” and on the other hand, attempting to stir up public panic over “global boiling.” Good grief.

All while busily ignoring further evidence of Biden family criminality, reaching right into the White House (and probably the Obama White House, as well).

The New York Post: “Media beg Republicans to ‘move on’ from Hunter Biden – because they know scandal is serious”

Having impeached then-President Trump over an innocuous phone call with Ukraine, the Democrat corporate press was quick to jump to the defense of Joe Biden for far far worse, even criminal, actions.

The Federalist: “10 Media Hack Factories That Pooh-Poohed The Biden-Burisma Scandal As A Conspiracy Theory”

What did the Obama administration know about Joe Biden’s nefarious influence peddling schemes, and when did they know it?

National Review: “Painting a Portrait of Corruption around the Bidens”

And despite Biden’s assertion that “there wasn’t any hint of scandal at all when we were there,” know that Obama administration officials were uncomfortable with Hunter Biden joining Burisma’s board. In a September 2016 email to other senior State Department officials, the acting deputy chief of mission at the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine, George Kent, wrote, “The presence of Hunter Biden on the Burisma board was very awkward for all U.S. officials pushing an anticorruption agenda in Ukraine.”

Flashback: Remember when corrupt Joe Biden got visibly agitated about Ukraine and Burisma during an NBC interview in early 2020?

And during a presser in 2019?

Or when he called for Trump’s impeachment over that Ukraine phone call?

CNBC reported at the time (archive link):

The 2020 Democratic presidential candidate joined many of his rivals in unequivocally saying Trump “should be impeached.” Biden had previously gone as far as backing the House’s inquiry into whether Trump abused his power by urging Ukraine to investigate the former vice president and his son Hunter.

“In full view of the world and the American people, Donald Trump has violated his oath of office, betrayed this nation and committed impeachable acts,” Biden said to applause during remarks in New Hampshire.

“To preserve our Constitution, our democracy, our basic integrity, he should be impeached,” he added.

Meanwhile, here’s Joe:

Joe “I am the Democratic Party” Biden needs to be investigated by a House impeachment panel.  No matter what Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) is suddenly (?) saying.

But . . . Trump! And Republicans!

Over in NeverTrump land, they think that pointing out that Trump didn’t do enough to stop the J6 riots is a good plan. It’s not, as Roseanne Barr happily pointed out.

Politico attempted some weird flex in a piece about members of Congress owning EVs: “Here are the 25 members of Congress who drive electric cars.”

Meanwhile, the anti-America Democrat media liars are heavily pushing the need for Western civilization to be eradicated, essentially throwing us back into the Dark Ages . . . or further back, CNN is having fever dreams of a world without humans.

Daily Caller: “Climate Alarmists Are Finally Saying The Quiet Part Out Loud In Their Agenda.”

The [LA Times] op/ed is appropriately titled, “Would an Occasional Blackout Help Solve Climate Change?” It is a headline that tacitly admits a truth about the transition that boosters of renewable energy have been careful not to publicize: That the notion that generation sources with extremely low energy density like wind and solar cannot hope to be viable alternatives to generation with extremely high energy density like natural gas, nuclear and coal. It is a notion that defies the laws of thermodynamics and physics, and those are laws, not suggestions that can be discarded as a matter of convenience or, as in this case, in pursuit of a hyper-political agenda.

This kind of propaganda is designed to condition readers to accept the lowering of their own living conditions in the name of saving the climate, or, as this writer poses is, “preventing climate catastrophe.” It is the kind of propaganda Americans and citizens around the world have been bombarded with as we have experienced the current hot summer.

Brownstone Institute: “Population Control: The Receipts”

What else did the corrupt hacks in the Democrat propaganda media decide wasn’t important? Oh, a lot.

They are completely ignoring (and probably celebrating) the decline in patriotism in our nation’s school children. We’ve already seen polls showing that America’s young people dislike capitalism and think that people who disagree with them should be not only silenced but jailed, so this isn’t a big surprise, but it is a big problem for America’s future.

Axios: “Poll: Youth sour on America”

Hot Air: “Blame the public schools for decline in patriotism among the young”

Nothing to see here:

Fox News: “Republican sounds alarm on ‘militarization’ of IRS after it spent $10M on weapons, gear since 2020”

“I write to you today to express my concerns regarding the increased rate of weapon purchases by the Internal Revenue Service,” Rep. Stephanie Bice, R-Okla., wrote in a Tuesday letter to IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel.

“While I recognize the Criminal Investigation division has a law enforcement role, recent reports have indicated that the IRS has made substantial purchases of weaponry and tactical gear. As a civilian agency whose stated mission is to ‘Provide America’s taxpayers top-quality service by helping them understand and meet their tax responsibilities and enforce the law with integrity and fairness to all,’ the increasing militarization of the IRS is of growing concern.”

You won’t be reading in Democrat propaganda hack rags about a Democrat Congressman acknowledging not only that Hunter Biden broke the law but that he should be “held accountable.”

In Florida, Governor Ron DeSantis worked hard to clean up our voting rolls and to ensure that Florida has safe, clean, and accurate elections. This has made Democrats unhappy.

Fox News is backing the Democrats when it comes to Justin Aldean’s amazing video for “Try That in a Small Town.”

Producers of Jason Aldean’s “Try That in a Small Town” music video have quietly removed archival footage of Black Lives Matter rioters after Fox threatened legal action, according to a new report.

The footage in question is a brief series of clips from Fox 5 Atlanta showing BLM rioters violently protesting in the streets, TMZ reported.

I wonder what all those vocal never Trumpers, who preferred Biden, are thinking right about now. Probably in deep denial, refusing to believe that Biden is actually much, much worse, and actually did far worse that what they impeached Trump over.

Everything the Leftists and NeverTrumpers imagined about Trump is completely present in Biden.

    Son is a complete scumbag.
Biden is completely compromised by foreign governments.
Biden was taking bribes and selling government influence.
Biden engaged in forceful sexual acts against women, including his own daughter.

But he’s not Trump. The Leftists and NeverTrumpers are as corrupt as Biden.

They already knew and didn’t and don’t care… they are corrupt to their cores as Biden is….some are motivated by money others hate the US and want it destroy… for most it’s both.

I make a distinction between DC elites, and regular people,,, call us peasants. The whole Biden family business was well known to some, others were, and still are in the dark.

Ann,,,, I don’t think they know what is going on. As blatant and mind boggling as all this news is, it is not getting reported. Ignorance is bliss,, and those people are still happy. This is hoodwinking, on a national level. Hopefully, that will change, but I am not holding my breath.

Aldean should ‘double down’ and tell Fox to stick up their back hole.

Cite ‘fair use doctrine’ and dare them to make a move.

That might get expensive in the short run via legal billing and in the long run by PO a major media conglomerate.

Y’all have it wrong. He is Joe “I Am The CCP Puppet” Biden, and BHO is in on it along with the Clintons.

What dominates the news is no longer what dominates life. “News” is more for the entertainment of the players, trying to impress each other, not the citizenry. The jig is up, however. It won’t stop anything until there are new players, and people will increasingly tune out the “news” until then.

As to actual news, seems like nothing will save Biden. His corruption is truth, and people that say otherwise are in denial or have ulterior motive. Forget recent impeachments, this is what Impeachment is for. Let the Senate Democrats support a true crook. Rather than try to erase Trump, perhaps Democrats should worry about themselves.

For example, and this is mild criticism and should be seen as such, see the post about “foibles” here:

    https://legalinsurrection.com/2023/07/usa-today-hunter-bidens-alleged-influence-peddling-underage-hooker-hopping-tax-and-gun-charges-are-mere-foibles/

There is too much obsession over non-news, about how players react in social media, as if THAT is news. If you ask a non-player about foibles, they would have no clue what you were talking about.

Unfortunately, the vast majority of Americans do still get their “news” from the Democrat propaganda media. I’m not sure how or if we can ever break through, but we will not stop trying.

What is also unfortunate is the way the news centers around what people say about things and each other in social media, as if the world requires a statement on any and every topic. The vast majority may be exposed to the “news,” but to say they get their news may be off.

“Just 7% of Americans have “a great deal” of trust and confidence in the media, and 27% have “a fair amount.” Meanwhile, 28% of U.S. adults say they do not have very much confidence and 38% have none at all in newspapers, TV and radio. Notably, this is the first time that the percentage of Americans with no trust at all in the media is higher than the percentage with a great deal or a fair amount combined.”

      https://news.gallup.com/poll/403166/americans-trust-media-remains-near-record-low.aspx

The comment had as much to do with the people that drive the “news” among themselves, rather than address the news that most people experience in reality.

What percentage supports government suppressing “misinformation” and do you think that portion of the population is relying on conservative or left wing outlets?

“The media” means different things to different people, Pew asked a very clear question to see where people actually stand.

Sometimes they deliver good news. I saw a clip from a leftist media channel that interviewed Bill Barr. Barr who threatened to jump off a bridge if Trump is nominated.

I think that the George Washington bridge would be appropriate since he was born and raised on upper west side of Manhattan. He should take his fellow NYC raised corrupt insider Chris Wray with him.

Name one way the man who faithfully upheld the law his entire life is corrupt.

By concealing knowledge of the FBI report on Biden’s extortion in the Ukraine as the President was being impeached for asking Ukraine to investigate allegations of Biden doing just that. He also kept silent on Hunter’s laptop knowing it was Hunters when Biden and press kept up the lie it was Russian disinformation.

He did not open any investigations into the funding and activities of the ANTIFA even as the many of the same rioters were arrested repeatedly all over the country and not aggressively prosecuted by the DOJ.

He did not investigate the vast financial fraud from the BLM movement which we finally know part of now.

He declared that the 2020 elections were free and fair without opening a single investigation despite all the strange activities in Atlanta, Philadelphia, Detroit, Milwaukee and other cities.

This guy’s first job for 7 years was with the CIA he is totally loyal and beholden to the permanent DC bureaucracy and the uniparty elites, not the constitution or the American people.

Danny in reply to Danny. | August 1, 2023 at 2:28 pm

          1. That had nothing whatever to do with him

          2. Again nothing to do with him

          3. The AG does not have a job of handling press or public relations, I do not recall any public appearances by Eric Holder for the 2012 election.

          4. He did open investigations into ANTIFA, criminal cases are not made over night

          5. So a matter of minutes after the money was donated under fraudulent circumstances Bill Barr is already supposed to have an investigation opened? You do realize that just receiving donations isn’t criminal it takes misusing the money. Criminal probes are not things to just throw out.

          6. You seriously think the CIA was leftist in the early 70s? Really? I mean seriously? The same CIA that was overthrowing leftist governments was secretly leftist?

Mauiobserver in reply to Danny. | August 1, 2023 at 4:03 pm

By failing to disclose the information that the DOJ had on the Hunter laptop and the FBI reports on Biden’s activities in Ukraine he knowingly aided and abetted both the Trump impeachment and Biden’s election.

If someone is convicted of a crime and you knowingly withhold information that would exonerate him then you are guilty of complicity in the unjust verdict or you are a coward.

That is particularly true if you are an officer of the court and especially the AG of the United States and the subject is the duly elected President of the United States. He failed in his duty not only as AG but disqualified himself to serve in any position requiring integrity and fortitude.

Unfortunately on this we do need people at the top to be trying.

Ben Shapiro of Daily Wire is trying but I really can’t think of any other examples of trying to wrest the center away from the media.

Furthermore trying does not mean succeeding.

“Foibles” — isn’t that the French word for “felonies”?

Always like Roseanne Barr. Her standup act was ~ okay, only watched her original show on a hit and miss schedule. I like her media persona because it is also her authentic persona. Which I imagine to be difficult to bear on a day to day basis.

I watched a few Barr videos via twitter. She enjoys playing gentlewoman farmer, her farm tools are all new and shiny, her tractor new. Her hayfork, new. She dresses up $$ peasant fashion. She looks healthy. Good for her.
(I didn’t see anything resembling a vegetable garden)

And Ted Cruz “considering” an eCar. He is a unauthentic weasel.

You can see why the Democrats need Trumps arrests for non-crimes dont you? They basically have nothing of any merit what so ever to run on. No successes to point to. Only never ending war, inflation, crime etc.

So they need the coming trials to distract the stupid people from the REAL crimes carried out in Biden’s name these last few years and by the Biden’s all through their lives in office.

And the stupid people will swallow every coming story about Trumps convictions (because he will be found guilty) and they will tutt tutt to themselves about how he deserved it and then go on with their meaningless lives, allowing the Democrat media to think for them.

One of the things that really stands out about the differences between Biden and Trump are their children. The differences between the kids couldn’t be more stark than night and day, and that tells you a lot about the adults these kids were brought up by.

CommoChief in reply to mailman. | August 1, 2023 at 8:11 am

Given this obvious truth is seems to beg the question; if defeating Biden and d/prog is THE top goal would it be better for Trump to step aside from his candidacy and remove much of the underlying reason for the distraction? The media push re legal troubles for a CURRENT candidate is far more newsworthy (and gets better TV ratings/sells more ads/gets more clicks) than for a non candidate.

mailman in reply to CommoChief. | August 1, 2023 at 1:22 pm

It doesn’t matter who runs against 10% China Joe, the media will bury them regardless who they are.

All that matters is that actual adults are put in the White House and 4 more years of Trump followed by 8 DeathSantis years gets me hard like a Democrat in an orphanage 😂😂

Mauiobserver in reply to CommoChief. | August 1, 2023 at 2:24 pm

I see a couple of potential problems with that scenario.

The first is that if Trump steps aside, I think a lot of energy is gone from the GOP base and whoever is nominated would likely have a weak turnout. That would be true even if Trump threw his support to the individual. Much like the loss of morale in ancient armies when the King or Captain is slain and the army collapses.

I also think that the party elites would throw up every obstacle possible to any America First candidate if an effort to field a globalist insider. There is no way that a Romney type candidate running on open borders, endless war and shifting American business overseas would motivate any popular support.

CommoChief in reply to Mauiobserver. | August 1, 2023 at 10:07 pm

I agree that the establishment would consider trying to spike DeSantis in a post Trump primary but that would likely be the death knell of the GoP and they know it so unlikely.

If people won’t turn out to vote if Trump isn’t on the ballot then ’28 Presidential election gonna be ugly, so is the ’26 midterm for that matter. Sooner or later folks gonna have to understand that opposition to the d/prog and their insane plans is way more important than intramural elbows in a primary. If folks decide being butthurt is more important than opposing the d/prog …they gonna be really butthurt when the d/prog take power and bend us all over.
