‘Flee’ California If Legislation Requiring Parents to Affirm Children’s Gender Identity Passes, Says Republican State Senator

“Today, it only involves divorce proceedings, and frankly, a judge can already factor this in. But I assure you it’s not going to end with divorce proceedings.”

We recently noted a bill making its way through the California legislature that would punish parents who don’t ‘affirm’ their child’s expressed gender identity.

This is complete insanity.

The bill is making its way closer to passage.

KCRA News reports:

California bill highlighting gender affirmation in child custody cases moves forward

California lawmakers in the State Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday moved forward with a measure that would require courts to consider a parent’s acceptance of their child’s gender identity in custody or visitation cases.

“As the mother of a trans child, it is jarring to know that TGI youth are at a higher risk of depression, mental health crises, self-harm and suicide than their cisgender peers,” said Assemblymember Lori Wilson, the bill’s author, in a statement. “The TGI Youth Empowerment Act provides California the opportunity to take one step closer to building a safer, more dignified, and equitable world for TGI youth and their families.”

The bill, Assembly Bill 957, now heads to the Senate floor, despite concerns from lawmakers on both sides of the aisle as to how courts will interpret the measure.

Multiple Senators in Tuesday’s hearing indicated they want Wilson to clarify in the bill if “gender affirmation” solely means acceptance and support for the child’s identity, or if it also includes providing gender-affirming health care including surgery and medication. Others raised concerns about how the bill might affect those who practice certain religions.

In response to this, California Republican State Senator Scott Wilk has urged people to ‘flee’ the state.

Transcript via Real Clear Politics:

“If you love your children, you need to flee California. You need to flee,” Wilk warned. “I’m now in year 11 in the state legislature, and all the time we’re proposing policies to protect children. After 11 years, I’ve come to the conclusion that we need to start protecting parents.”

“I’ve been here and witnessed a full frontal assault on charter schools, taking away parents’ choice in how their children are going to be educated to the detriment, particularly of children of color. In recent years, we have put government bureaucrats between parents, children, and doctors when it comes to medical care, and now we have this, where if a parent does not support the ideology of the government, they’re going to be taken away from the home.”

“Today, it only involves divorce proceedings, and frankly, a judge can already factor this in. But I assure you it’s not going to end with divorce proceedings. In the past when we’ve had these discussions and I’ve seen parental rights atrophied, I’ve encouraged people to keep fighting.”

“I’ve changed my mind about that. If you love your children, you need to flee California,” he said.

Democrats are pushing too far on this issue.
No doubt Gov. Beau Brummel will erect a wall to keep fleeing residents from leaving.

This will progress to the point that some purple-haired freak “teacher” will groom your kid into thinking they are “trans” and then report you for “child abuse” at the slightest push-back.

And here are the consequences:

The Democrats put us in a position where we are forced to spend all of our political capital fighting this and being distracted by it while borrowing and spending surge to new stratospheric highs with only symbolic resistance.

Don’t worry: perennial loser Ronna Romney is on the job.

    God help us.

Only those in CA or other one party d/prog deep blue States. The rest of us have worked to keep sanity in State govt which frankly requires constant vigilance.

The federal govt discretionary spending is absolutely dwarfed by non discretionary spending. If you are concerned about Federal deficit spending then you gotta be willing to tackle Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. Until the political will exists among the constituents of the politicians to make meaningful reforms to those three programs it won’t happen.

Who would ever make use of this legislation more than people trying at all costs to “win” divorce proceedings that are willing to manipulate their children into gender confusion? It’s as the senator says. Judges can, and do, already consider factors like this. But they are one part of the big picture. Making it a strict requirement under the law removes discretion from the equation and would require a judge to hold the child’s self-reported gender identity above all else.

That’s not even getting into the very obviously totalitarian nature of this. California has gone too far. It’s not even funny to joke about anymore. These people have absolutely no brains at all.

How long until your children won’t be allowed to leave the state with you for any reason?

This is penny-ante. San Francisco is a much more important microcosm of where the whole state is headed and why “you need to flee California.”

Move to Mexico. They deserve it.

Seems good advice to me

How did they find one reasonable person in CA? I thought they were outlawed!

“flee faster” – there I fixed that for you.

Gender is sex-correlated attributes (e.g. sexual orientation): masculine and feminine.

Trans- refers to a state or process of divergence from normal.

The gender identity activism is founded on forward-looking capital receipts from surgical mutilation, medical dysfunction, and psychiatric psychosis. Levine’s dreams of Herr Mengele.

Seems like California is where an Underground Railroad could be needed. It’s legal to seek refuge in a sane state for now, but how much longer before the cause for fleeing become illegal?

Trump mentioned Third World ‘hellholes’ but overlooked the fact there’s Third World hellhole states in America too.
