Sen. Marco Rubio Publishes Covid Origin Report Focused on China’s Pandemic Cover-Up

Rubio’s report also covers how the Chinese endeavored to hide the evidence of WIV’s connection to covid, as well as clues that the Chinese were scrambling to solve serious biosafety issues (likely after a leak had occurred).

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) published a 329-page report focused on the “political chronology” of the novel coronavirus outbreak in China, highlighting operational problems at the Chinese state-run Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) and offered support for the possibility of the pathogen leaking from the lab.

The report traces back to July 2019 when an official at the Wuhan Institute of Virology warned of the ‘current shortcomings and foundational problems in the construction, operation, and maintenance’ of the lab complex and directed staff to ‘prioritize solving the urgent problems we are facing.’

Then on September 19, 2019, the Wuhan lab shut down its online virus database in the middle of the night, according to the report. Six days later the WIV advised the Wuhan airport on a drill in case of the outbreak of a ‘novel coronavirus.’ Days after that a Wuhan resident known as Su died from what a Chinese biostatistician believes to be Covid-19, the report says.

By October the Chinese legislature was reviewing a draft biosecurity law, noting ‘currently the biosecurity situation in our country is grim’ and listed ‘laboratories that leak biological agents’ as a threat.

By November 2019 the Chinese government was hiding several documented cases of Covid-19.

CCP officials published a report warning: ‘Once you have opened the stores test tubes, it is just as if having opened Pandora’s Box. These viruses come without a shadow and leave without a trace.’

A CCP official traveled that month from Beijing to Wuhan with important instructions from Xi Jinping on ‘the complex and grave situation currently facing safety work,’ the report said.

Rubio’s report also covers how the Chinese endeavored to hide the evidence of WIV’s connection to covid, as well as clues that the Chinese were scrambling to solve serious biosafety issues (likely after a leak had occurred).

The report also traces what it calls China’s “international deception,” according to a two-page executive summary reviewed by the Washington Examiner. For instance, it notes that the CCP in 2020 targeted whistleblower doctors, mandated the destruction of virus samples, and began working on a COVID-19 vaccine no later than November 2019 — which is roughly two months prior to China’s government acknowledging the existence of SARS-CoV-2.

As far as alleged lab leak theory clues, the report cites how researchers at the Wuhan lab filed invention patents intended to fix pitfalls with its waste handling, air pressure system, and biocontainment equipment from December 2019 to October 2021. These various control problems may explain how a pathogen could have escaped the Wuhan lab, according to the report.

“These innovations that the WIV sought to patent were technical solutions to specific biosafety problems, including those that WIV authors explicitly described as posing a serious risk for the escape of a highly consequential pathogen into the external environment,” the report reads.

The mainstream media quickly assert there is no “smoking gun” directly marking a WIV lab as the point origin of the SARC-CoV-2, the virus that causes covid.  News reports refer to evidence as “circumstantial” and focus intently on the fact it is a “Republican” report.

A Republican-led investigation into the origins of Covid-19 has unearthed additional, though circumstantial, evidence supporting the theory that the virus likely escaped from a lab in Wuhan, China, but it did not find any “smoking gun” evidence to prove the theory, according to a new report released on Wednesday.

I would argue that there is a preponderance of evidence that covid came from the WIV, and it is a much more “smoking” theory than raccoon dogs.

Based on the Chinese actions, I think a preponderance of the evidence is the most reasonably achievable standard to determine the origin of covid.

And the consequences to China are what?

Screw the consequences to China. How about some consequences for the lying, cover-the-Democrats’-asses American media?

I’d be happy to see consequences for the ťyrants in THIS country.

There’s probably some US collaboration here.
I suspect we subcontracted out research that would never have been allowed in the west, done to low standards.
The weak security and low standards allowed them to do it on the cheap.

The lack of response from CDC, NIH, and Fauci is deafening.

Was Rubio always a skeptic? Or at least came to the conclusion that the CDC and Fed and media were hyping COVID for political purposes? I mean after the first few months? Not more than 6-8 months?

Or is he simply piling on because that’s the way the political wind is blowing?

something interesting:
Three young black guys watching the Trump/CNN debate. I stumbled across this on youtoob. I’ve no idea who they are beyond their channel description.

I am surprised the report fails to mention the culpability of Fauxci in providing the funds for the research, even after President Trump specifically forbade funds for such research

The evidence supports a finding that China did it. The evidence is far greater than a “preponderance of the evidence.” At a minimum, it is “clear and convincing.” But if I were on a jury, I’d convict with “beyond a reasonable doubt.” I think most would.

Think Chinkmaster Xi and his WHO pet monkey.

Vaxxxing mandates, pathogenic spread, and clinical cannibalism with dreams of medical progress. What’s in a choice…

It was a French built lab that allowed the escape. Let’s boycott french fries.
