IT’S OVER! WHO Officially and Belatedly Declares End to Covid Global Health Emergency

The most interesting aspect of this announcement is the timing.

I declared the covid pandemic over when I realized the virus had transitioned to an endemic pathogen that we would be routinely exposed to and infected with.  Now, the global “experts” have finally agreed to end the drama.

The World Health Organization ended the global emergency status for COVID-19 on Friday more than three years after its original declaration, and said countries should now manage the virus that killed more than 6.9 million people along with other infectious diseases.

The global health agency’s Emergency Committee met on Thursday and recommended the UN organization declare an end to the coronavirus crisis as a “public health emergency of international concern” – its highest level of alert – which has been in place since Jan. 30, 2020.

“It is therefore with great hope that I declare COVID-19 over as a global health emergency,” said WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, adding that the end of the emergency did not mean COVID was over as a global health threat.

The head of WHO was quick to blame the virus rather than the lockdowns for the resulting global chaos and disruption to economies and societies.

In a press conference on Friday, director general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said, “COVID-19 has been so much more than a health crisis, disrupting economies, travel, shattering businesses and plunging millions into poverty.”

He went on to state that for more than a year the pandemic has been on a downward trend and “this trend has allowed most countries to return to life as we knew it before COVID-19.”

As Dr. Anthony Fauci and Randi Weingarten have done, Ghebreyesys and other WHO officials distance themselves completely from the policies that, according to a study from Johns Hopkins University, failed spectacularly to stop either the spread or resulting deaths.

Lockdowns had “little to no effect” on saving lives during the pandemic — and “should be rejected out of hand as a pandemic policy,” according to economists in a new meta-analysis of dozens of studies.

A group led by the head of Johns Hopkins Institute for Applied Economics analyzed studies from the first surge of the pandemic to investigate widely pushed claims that stringent restrictions would limit deaths.

Instead, the meta-analysis concluded that lockdowns across the US and Europe had only “reduced COVID-19 mortality by 0.2% on average.”

Perhaps the most interesting aspect of this announcement is the timing. A recent covid-focused conference hosted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) became a super-spreader event.

Nearly three dozen people were likely infected with COVID-19 at a conference held by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, Georgia, from April 24 to 27, according to a CDC representative.

At the annual Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) Conference, officers known as “disease detectives” gathered to share “leading-edge investigations, scientific findings and forward-thinking strategies to inform improvements in public health,” per the CDC.

Approximately 35 individuals had reported testing positive as of May 2, CDC spokesperson Kristen Nordlund confirmed in an email to Fox News Digital.

Personally, I will never forget. I will also never let them forget that I remember. I have collected many, many receipts over the past three years.

I suspect I am not the only one.

In a just world, WHO Director-General Tedros would be rotting in prison awaiting execution for his crimes against humanity* – along with Fauci the sociopath, Walensky, Collins, et al.

*after a fair trial, of course.

Agree, they will pay in the afterlife.
As side can I get $1 for every solitary mask wearer I see in their car, standing on a curb waiting or walking a dog?
I won’t have to work again.

    Still !

“can I get $1 for every solitary mask wearer I see in their car”…. even physicians were caught doing this. I never considered the possibility of a Lexus as a reservoir for the virus…. silly me.

walk into any VA facility and will see everyone still masked. and w/o mask cannot get past the screening people. even at Togus Maine, one of the better VA facilities.

We call that driving while indoctrinated.

It’d you are walking a German Shepard fed a wrong diet, you need more than the average mask.

One way to reduce the number of people getting the disease…. Kill them off with the “vaccine” while making a killing financially. Plenty of tombstones to add to those sbove. More to come. 2020-2023 didn’t have to happen.

There needs to be a national reconciliation based on truth and consequences.

The media is pivoting and argues that we should just move on from the crimes against humanity inflicted these past Covid years by the government, the medical establishment, the pharmaceutical industry, and their propaganda operatives.

There are those Blue State Governors and others in the CDC and NIH who are responsible for the actions and policies that directly and indirectly killed and tormented millions of Americans, and now want to move on and change the subject simply to evade accountability for their actions.

Aleksander Solzhenitsyn warned of the consequences of failing to pursue justice in the aftermath of Stalin’s reign of terror:

“In keeping silent about evil, in burying it so deep within us that no sign of it appears on the surface, we are implanting it, and it will rise up a thousandfold in the future. When we neither punish nor reproach evildoers, we are not simply protecting their trivial old age, we are thereby ripping the foundations of justice from beneath new generations.“

“national reconciliation”… more like a reckoning. May I suggest a booster shot every hour 24/7/365 until……

As we slide down the communist dictatorship slope, any bets on stopping it? Stalin is still admired in Russia… by many. It is interesting that Lenin’s tomb is covered over for the present May Day Victory parades in Moscow. I did see Lenin back in 1972, but he gave me the cold shoulder.

I guess it was time to clear the way for the next plandemic, just in time for 2024.

Aside from planned parent/hood, masked enhancement, sequestering in place, healthcare reform, immigration reform, and political mandates, it was over before it started.

The pandemic is over. It was man made. It never had to be. Simply another episode where deception prevailed over truth.

It should’ve been over awhile ago. I think it died of old age.

CommoChief in reply to oldschooltwentysix. | May 7, 2023 at 12:38 pm

Almost certainly man made but it was a pandemic, just no where near as close to deadly or dangerous as was proclaimed. I suspect that as data is parsed and the impacts of delayed screenings and foregone treatments are revealed over time in higher death rates from treatable issues that the number of lives cut short b/c of the overreach will outnumber those directly from Covid. Heck just start by removing the died with v from Covid and the numbers change dramatically.

No amnesty. No forgiveness until those who put out these insane policies, enforced them or the political leaders who enabled them admit their errors without reservation and ask for forgiveness. Even then no amnesty.

Almost certainly? There is NO evidence to the contrary. Time to be honest with ourselves. Even if it was “no where close” to whatever, it was devastating, and those that brought it forth and deceived the public and others should be accountable, not that they ever will be.

CommoChief in reply to oldschooltwentysix. | May 7, 2023 at 7:43 pm

Learn to take yes for an answer. The response to Covid by the Federal Govt and many but not all State/local govt was the truly devastating part. The Rona was deadly to those 65+, particularly those 75+ and those with pre existing issues that made them more susceptible.

We shut down schools, churches, business to ‘protect’ whom for the overwhelming part? The very aged and the very infirm. It wasn’t a rational choice. It was rampant stupidity. Particularly when some States forced Covid + patients out of hospitals and into nursing homes and community care facilities which housed the most vulnerable population.

Every politician who didn’t wise up to the scam and do what it took to push back and regain control from the Fauci fascists by mid May ’20 is complicit. One guy in particular so named Trump.

That sure was a long “two weeks to flatten the curve”. Trust the “science”.

It succeeded, possibly beyond the wildest dreams of its creators, in conditioning the US population to extra- and anti-Constitutional suppression of civil liberties. The rest of the world, too, of course, but they in general don’t/didn’t have the specific established rights guaranteed to us by the Constitution, which now are essentially gone except for lip service by some politicians, along with our power to fairly elect our leadership.

Tedros is nothing more than a YES monkey for Ch*nkmaster Xi who started this mess. Trump I believe took away US funding for WHO and BiteMe restored it.

BierceAmbrose | May 7, 2023 at 2:13 pm

Purely coincidentally, they can drop this one just as they got MonkeyPox declared an emergency by the WHO, via shenanigans fully a tenth as sketchy as the way the US “passed” Obamacare.

It ended for me around April 1, 2020. To be honest, I miss the quiet.

How can you end something that never was?

henrybowman | May 7, 2023 at 5:04 pm

WHO — the CNN+ of NGOs.
The pandemic’s final curtain call… because they could no longer draw a paying audience.

WHO? Wha? Won’t Get Fooled Again? Yah right
