Trump Scheduled to be Arraigned at 2:15 P.M. on Tuesday

Let the circus begin.

A court spokesman said President Donald Trump’s arraignment would happen on Tuesday:

Former President Donald Trump will be arraigned at 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday, a court spokesperson said Friday.

The arraignment schedule comes just hours after Trump, 76, was indicted by the Manhattan DA’s office Thursday following weeks of speculation.

His lawyer, Joe Tacopina, has claimed that he faces more than 30 counts of fraud.

The extensive list of charges reportedly stem from hush money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels and former Playboy model Karen McDougal.

Daniels is set to speak out about the bombshell case tonight in an exclusive interview with Piers Morgan.

No handcuffs:

Former President Donald Trump will not be put in handcuffs when he turns himself in next week, his attorney confirmed to The Post on Friday.

Lawyer Joe Tacopina confirmed the news in a text while also giving a round of interviews promising that is now “ready to fight” — with “zero” chances he’ll buckle and seek a plea deal.

“The president will not be put in handcuffs,” the attorney also told ABC News’ “Good Morning America” — while not ruling out a perp walk or a mugshot.

Just a series of formalities prior to conviction, sentencing, and imprisonment. Maybe FJoe Biden will commute the sentence as Trump’s gracious overlord.

That would be the only way Biden could look “noble” and deflect any persecution claims by Pres. Trump.

malclave in reply to alaskabob. | March 31, 2023 at 6:23 pm

Wouldn’t that be Hochul, not Biden?

    Don’t see it happening.

GravityOpera in reply to alaskabob. | April 1, 2023 at 12:48 am

Thanks to you I’m imagining the confusion, loss of purpose, and feelings of betrayal from the Trumpians if Biden were to pardon him!

Too bad they’re not federal charges.

Furry handcuffs would be appropriate.

Pandora’s Box is smashed open. Stupid Democrats, in their irrational zeal to make Trump evil incarnate, have dealt the country a terrible blow that will have lasting negative effect. Yet they cannot articulate what Trump actually did that justifies their hysteria. What a bunch of dupes!

Next up, Joe Biden. His misdeeds are numerous. For him, it’s the crime before the person, not the opposite.

Americans must wake to the Democratic weaponization, and the acquiescence by too may Establishment Republicans, if there is any hope for this republic.

    The_Mew_Cat in reply to oldschooltwentysix. | March 31, 2023 at 12:57 pm

Joe Biden will be dead or incarcerated in a nursing home long before anyone gets to prosecute him.

Even if he ends up like “Weekend at Bernie’s” the Democrats will trot him out to take the abuse while they engage in machinations behind the scenes. Someone besides Biden may actually exercise his/her mind.

And if he is gone from the scene, there’s always Clinton for paying millions of “legal fees” to frame Trump, among other things.

It’s a new environment. Like the baseball clock. New rules, but these that enable a banana republic, an American police state, are not for the better.

Since the statute of limitations seems to now be moot, we could go have a relook at Hillary’s history, particularly that little email debacle, which not a single lefty could defend, despite numerous attempts to get any of them to reconcile what Hillary did as descibed by Comey with the actual controlling statute.

Milhouse in reply to Dimsdale. | April 2, 2023 at 2:51 am

The statute of limitations is not moot. But if it were to suddenly go away, there’s the whole cattle futures affair to look at. There’s no way to paint that as anything but outright bribery. The only reason she was never charged was that by the time it became public knowledge the statute had already run.

what do you mean “ends up like….” he’s already there.

whatever transpires, these events will present an authentic challenge to the fealty of the secret service

am remembering epstein–by incarcerating trump the left will create a martyr–the progs aren’t interested in any martyrs

alaskabob in reply to texansamurai. | March 31, 2023 at 2:56 pm

A dead Trump is out of the way. Martyrs can’t be president. House plants can.

Since when has there been any question as to the fealty of the secret service? Like their brothers the FBI and more clandestine organization, their absolute loyalty is to whichever Leftist is in charge, publicly or privately.

    Subotai Bahadur

No complaints then when former president Biden, and his entire family, is indicted for bribery.

One would wish but the whole country keeps moping on…

We should all be in the streets screaming to God

      txvet2 in reply to gonzotx. | March 31, 2023 at 3:37 pm

So….. are you in the streets screaming to God, or is that all for somebody else to do??? I might consider it, but I live out in the country and it would only confirm to my neighbors that I’ve lost my mind. They’d still wave, though. That’s how we are around here.

So last I read on all this is “if” what they say took place, actually took place, I understand the max crime it could be is actually a misdemeanor?

…AND it’s the same crime committed by about hundred Dem candidates at a federal level every election cycle.

I’m not pissed for Trump, I’m pissed at the weaponization of the government against the minority party.

So, what I’m hearing, is that a mass of trucks should start rush hour at about 12pm, and park until 8pm, right?

Or will they just fly Trump in by helicopter to avoid the traffic?

Trump, for all his faults, inspires like few can. As he said, they are coming for us. He’s standing in the way, and will not give up.

I called Senator Cruz’s office , dear God…

I was told it’s a “local” issue and therefore the Senator has not made a statement

    AF_Chief_Master_Sgt in reply to gonzotx. | March 31, 2023 at 2:49 pm

Good for Cruz. He is a uniparty hack.

    He’ll never get my vote.

So, assuming that you’re in Texas and your opinion actually means anything, you’re declaring that you won’t vote for one of the most conservative members of the Senate and one of Trump’s most reliable supporters during his presidency based on the word of a pathological liar?

        AF_Chief_Master_Sgt in reply to txvet2. | March 31, 2023 at 9:40 pm

        My vote, my choice.

I didn’t plan on voting for Cruz when he ran previously, and if he runs again, I have no plans to vote for him again.

You are correct. I moved out of Texas because Uncle Sam made that decision for me. So I can’t vote for him for the Senate. You are free to vote for him for the Senate. I am free not to vote for him for president.

And yes. I believe he is a uniparty hack. But then again, I believe most of the 535 Fools on the Hill are uniparty hacks who receive money from foreign donors, especially China.

So, all of that was a really long and pointless bunch of nothing. Cool story.

Don’t blame Uncle Sam. As one who served almost 12 years overseas and on installations from California to Massachusetts, I still had the right to vote in my state of residence, and so do you. Yes, probably all of the Dems and quite a few Republicans get money from the ChiComs. As far as I know, Cruz hasn’t, but if you have evidence to the contrary, I’d be interested in seeing it.

Danny in reply to gonzotx. | March 31, 2023 at 3:13 pm

    I don’t believe you.

AF_Chief_Master_Sgt | March 31, 2023 at 2:48 pm

Seems kinda racist for a black DA to indict a white man. What comes next in this upside down world?

Perhaps the lynching of the white man, Trump, is next.

Nothing like an uppity white man, now called CAUDACITY, professing his innocence for an act that even the tart admitted didn’t happen.

The indictment is sealed, yes? So how do you have an arraignment based on a sealed indictment? Does not the accused get to find out what the charges are against them?

Just such a shocking coincidence that the same judge that presided over the previous Trump company farce of a ‘fraud’ trial has magically been assigned this case.

Apparently there’s only 1 judge in the entire state of New York that’s capable of presiding over a Trump trial.

Final nail in coffin of the Republic started in 1776

Alvin be pissed that Trump gave the white woman money… unlike Alvin’s constituents in New York – and Trump didn’t even get the tart pregnant.

BierceAmbrose | March 31, 2023 at 4:08 pm

They are gonna get Trump elected again.

I’m so old, I remember when The Screaming D’s were the politically competent party. Forever later, and they still can’t figure out how to deal with his schtick.

healthguyfsu in reply to BierceAmbrose. | March 31, 2023 at 4:33 pm

This is the same fantasy you all had during the blm riots. It’s simply not true as this doesn’t move the needle much either way for average Joe voter.

texansamurai in reply to healthguyfsu. | March 31, 2023 at 6:34 pm

based on the “elections” that have taken place since and including 2020,, the left no longer needs/cares about joe voter’s rights/opinions

BierceAmbrose in reply to healthguyfsu. | April 2, 2023 at 12:02 am

I tend to keep my fantasies to myself.

If you want to hear some, I am told there are services for that, that charge by the minute.

    They won’t.

Data collection can be done at breakneck speed and it has been and not surprisingly this has not changed any of the fundamentals of the election.

As of Trump being indicted the following is true

    1. 61% of Americans do not want Trump to be president again with 38% wanting him as president.

    2. 56% called the election fair

    3. Trump is clearly a victim of a political witch hunt by Democrats who want him to be the unelectable Republican nominee and want their pound of flesh for ANY Republican who does damage to them.

However the portion of the American public that agrees with that is 41%.

The only group that has been shown to be gravitating to Trump as a result of this is the Republican Primary voter.

That isn’t a good thing. The American public didn’t like him before and they still don’t like him.

Danny in reply to Danny. | March 31, 2023 at 8:18 pm

I typed election but I meant to say investigation.

BierceAmbrose in reply to Danny. | April 2, 2023 at 12:08 am

Well, perhaps not. They failed to get 99% certain “It’s time for her-story.” elected in 2016.

We’ve seen that the Dem’s may not be able to pull off their plans; and even universal projections and predictions might not track, in the event.

Even the Creepy Pron Lawyer is saying they have no case.

Banana Republic: Biden’s America just Joined Seven Other “Sh*thole” Nations by Arresting an Opposition Leader

Subotai Bahadur | March 31, 2023 at 9:17 pm

Former President Donald Trump will not be put in handcuffs when he turns himself in next week, his attorney confirmed to The Post on Friday.

Just in passing, when was the last time that a Leftist, especially a Leftist in power, told the truth when he/she/it made a promise that involved the law, the courts, statutes, or the Constitution?

Subotai Bahadur

am reminded of the left’s litany; ” by any means necessary ”

this whole charade (legal or otherwise) is likely a pretext to get pres trump into custody–into a controlled environment–doubt the left’s principal concern is preventing trump from running for office in the next “election cycle”

The Democrat party and Republican elitist establishment claim that Trump is a “threat to our Democracy.” Yet, their very actions are a genuine threat to America. They must think we’re stupid.

Many conservatives were leaning toward DeSantis since Trump seems to have lost his way, he is old, and people don’t like his constant insults and name-calling of his opponents. After this indictment, the winds of time have changed. The conservative base is voting for Trump. The Democrats are playing us, but we don’t care. So Trump, the destroyer of evil, is the only path forward.

The Republican establishment, especially Mandarin Mitch and the entire anti-Trump RINO conspiracy, will be forever tainted for their part in all this. They’ve collaborated with the Democrats and NWO globalists to destroy President Trump and the America First movement.

They think Trump supporters will desert our President in his hour of need because that’s what they would do. They’ve never understood the working and middle classes because they have contempt and disdain for us.

We have an absurd number of laws on the books. Every person likely technically breaks many laws each year without knowing it. This indictment action creates a perfect environment for the Left where they can come up with a crime against anyone at any time.

Even if they can’t prove the crime, they can use lawfare as the tool and the threat of financial ruin to force people into a plea bargain. Stop this insanity before it’s too late.

Danny in reply to Ghostrider. | April 2, 2023 at 6:43 am

How do you define Republican Establishment?

Because when normal people including you when you are discussing any other topic discuss an establishment there is some kind of power.

Would this be power to decide who is permitted to run in a primary? Because that is Trump

Is it power to dictate to candidates? Again Trump

Is it power to pick who the non-elected leadership of the party is? Again Trump

A definition of establishment that includes people who aren’t in the party at all and have zero party influence like Kinzinger but lacks the person who is calling the shots in the party as recently as last year is a flawed one made by people who substituted empty rhetoric designed to make yourself sound insane and stupid for commons ense.

If you have a Republican who supports indicting Trump in NY City make with the name otherwise stop making a mockery of our political language.

The establishment right now is Trump which is why Trump governed with exactly the same traditional Republican agenda that George H Bush or for the most part on policy George W Bush would be fully compatible with.

Your racist attack on Mitch McConnell was disgusting and if any non-hardcore only Trump partisan read it they would have been definitely disgusted by it, and by you.

Yes Mitch McConnell has a Chinese wife MOVE ON. If it is treasonous for McConnell’s CHINESE FAMILY to have trade ties to China it is equally treasonous to write the terms of those trade deals WHICH WERE WRITTEN BY TRUMP (or are you someone who doesn’t believe Trump is responsible for his administration?)

Your imaginary world where there is Republican power of any kind in Manhattan is not an appealing one, and it isn’t a real one, and your claiming so makes you look like a complete and utter lunatic.
