Mitch McConnell Slams Tucker Carlson and Fox News Over J6 Video Release

Mitch McConnell Slams Tucker Carlson and Fox News Over J6 Video Release

Denying the truth of what the videos show makes McConnell as complicit as those who participated in the sham J6 committee.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell showed his true colors again by taking the side of the left and the media regarding Fox News airing the real January 6 footage.

The RINO said:

MCCONNELL: “My concern is how it was depicted, which is a different issue. Clearly, the chief of the Capitol Police, in my view, correctly describes what most of us witnessed firsthand on January 6. So that’s my reaction to it. It was a mistake in my view for Fox News to depict this in a way that’s completely at variance with what our chief law enforcement official here at Capitol thinks.”

No one cares about your concern. Denying the truth makes him as complicit as those who participated in the sham committee.

Why wouldn’t the chief of the Capitol Police say anything other than what he reported? January 6th made a fool out of them.

McConnell siding with his lefty palz across the aisle again? You. Don’t. Say. The proles should only be allowed to see what the gubmint allows per the “conservative” leader of Senate.

Ditch Mitch.

McConnell has shown us who he is, REPEATEDLY.

I said it 2 years ago and a lot of people whined about it.

I will not vote for ANY Republican that plans to put this piece of crap back in as ‘leader’, ever again, and at this point I’m not going to vote for any of them that put him back in as minority leader this year.

He is absolute poison to conservatives and needed to be thrown out years ago.

You said it way better than I could have said it. Thanks!

It’s worse than that: Dominion is going to be filing a $1.6B lawsuit against Fox (go down to item 3)

    https://www.cnbc.com/2023/03/08/5-things-to-know-before-the-stock-market-opens-wednesday-march-8.html

Get ready for Fox firing Carlson, Hannity, Bartiromo and Ingraham. This will likely result in Rupert Murdock himself suspending any further releases of the Jan 6 reports from anyone. It’s D-Day. None of us are safe.

NotCoach in reply to Pasadena Phil. | March 8, 2023 at 10:39 am

None of this is likely to happen in relationship to the lawsuit. Dominion is not walking away with $1.68 billion.

That’s not the point. Fox is owned byDeSantis supporter Rupert Murdock (financing DeSantis’ national fund raising tour) with DeSantis endorser Paul Ryan on the Fox board of directors. DeSantis has also been reported seen buddying up with a Dominion executive the last few weeks. This isn’t about court rulings but about beefing up controversy as an excuse to fire the only journalists telling the truth at Fox. There is a war going on and for the corrupt establishment, this is the beginning of the end game.

Let’s see: settle with Dominion quickly costing them hundreds of millions or fire the truth tellers? Let me know what you decide.

NotCoach in reply to Pasadena Phil. | March 8, 2023 at 11:19 am

Ohhhhh, so it all comes back to DeSantis!

They aren’t going to fire their money makers, period. Murdoch is left of center, yet FOX has remained right of the other major news networks. Murdoch knows where the money is, your conspiracies concerning DeSantis notwithstanding. Now when Hannity, Carlson, and Ingraham all jump on the DeSantis train what will your response be than?

NotCoach: don’t be so obtuse. We are fighting for constitutional law at the moment and that fight is focusing on his opponent for POTUS while he accepts money from Rupert Murdoch and a big endorsement from Paul Ryan. You should be able to figure out the rest. Are you really that dumb.

NotCoach in reply to Pasadena Phil. | March 8, 2023 at 11:45 am

Yes, I am really that dumb to expect politicians to take money from where ever it comes from. And if you think Trump wouldn’t take this money or endorsements you are a fool. Politicians are politicians, and your conspiracy theories are old and tired. DeSantis has proven he will govern as a conservative. If the likes of Ryan and Murdoch support him it is only because he isn’t Trump.

@NotCoach: So if you find out Soros is funding all of the Republicans, it doesn’t matter? Or the CCP? Or the dirty globalist WEF malthusians? If you were a billionaire, you would be contributing money to candidates without and assurances that they will work for YOU? You really are that stupid. Yeah, let’s just decide on how we cast our vote based on who raises the most money which is what we were doing…. until Trump stepped in and crushed Hillary.

I want this all down in writing so we can all understand how dumb you are.

When your opponent gets 53% of the popular vote in what was essentially a two-person election, no one with any sense can claim that you “crushed” your opponent. I voted for Trump twice, and think that, for the most part, his policies were pretty good, which is the most we can expect from any president in this day and age. Had Trump spent the last two years of his term acting presidential instead of a sore-losing contestant on the Bachelorette, he would have been re-elected easily. But he couldn’t do that because he is an undisciplined celebrity who was simply incapable of passing up any opportunity to shoot himself in the foot. If you like what Biden and the lunatic Democrats are doing today, then nominate Trump. There is no better way to guarantee four more years of this insanity, courtesy of the Democrats.

Which will be the end of Fox News. Which may be what Murdock wants anyway.

No, Murdock does NOT want the end of Fox News. He wants the end of Trump. This lawsuit is just one more reason to fire the truth tellers and clear the way for his endorsed candidate DeSantis (who is far too busy in international affairs at the moment trolling Biden (with Rubio) to make an exception of vaxxing for tennis star Djokovich, Priorities you know.

Is it any wonder the Republicans couldn’t take the Senate with leadership like this?

McConnell’s hate for you know who on display yet again.

Next he will defend Fauci.

“It was a mistake in my view for Fox News to depict this in a way that’s completely at variance with what our chief law enforcement official here at the Capitol thinks,” McConnell said.

The FBI defines conspiracy theories as beliefs that are “at odds with official or prevailing explanations of events.”

So, McConnell’s complaint is simply that Carlson’s presentation was at odds with the prevailing explanation of the events of January 6th. We’re supposed to just accept the “official or prevailing explanation of events” regardless of the truth our lying eyes show us, is that it?

Well Mitch, Tucker has a nightly show at 8pm, he would gladly put you on his show and have a discussion about the video that has been withheld for over two years that has own seen the light of day. I’m sure you would be given ample time to present your case as to why any of this should be presented to the public.
You can explain why security was so lax that day, you or your staff should have very detailed knowledge of the decision making process.

Wade Hampton | March 7, 2023 at 7:23 pm

McConnell is a coward and should resign

There he is, the Mitch McConnell we expect. The DC establishment closes ranks against any challenge and presenting a more comprehensive picture about the events of J6 is definitely a challenge to them.

Add this to his recent ‘highlights’ in describing sending more $ to Ukraine as the ‘#1 priority of the USA’ and the events in Ukraine as the ‘biggest threat to the American people’. On top him telling us ‘how proud he is to work with Biden in a bipartisan fashion’ to pass more spending on d/prog priorities.

How dare the truth get out! Seriously we need major corruption prosecutions for this and for the violations of the fourth amendment in this country. This is now treason.

CommoChief in reply to geronl. | March 7, 2023 at 7:34 pm

McConnell sees nothing wrong in his statement that presenting views at variance with the Capital Police and members own views is a ‘mistake’.

So to recap the Police and Congress get to decide what the truth is and anyone who offers any dissent much less video evidence which contradicts that official truth is making a mistake. Sounds more than a little totalitarian.

How dare he exposed them for the Liars they are.

He probably thought the snippet of Hawley was spot on.

The Uniparty leaders are so besieged that they now have to do their own fighting. The rats are abandoning the ship and there is nowhere to hide. The masks just won’t stay on.

Trump has that effect on pompous crap weasels. It’s part of his “baggage”.

Uniparty Mitch has got to go.

are you gonna believe your lyin’ eyes?

How despicable and transparent these traitorous liars really are!

*They don’t need no video proof* to put a light on what ugly creatures these RINO’s are. In this response, they are even more evil than the marxocrats.

He goes home to supper and a warm comfortable bed….. those falsely accused remain in prison without trial or run through soviet-style courts get long sentences. Tone delf, blind and callous. He has been too long in D.C.. Too many have. It’s not just their country… it’s ours that he should serve.

Tucker Carlson didn’t “depict” anything. He just ran the unedited video. What the video evidence proves is that Mitch McConnell is a liar. That the Capitol police chief is a liar. That the J6 committee members are liars. They, and the Dem controlled media conglomerates, are the ones that gave us “depictions”. False depictions. Now that want us to not believe our lying eyes.

Groty in reply to sfharding. | March 8, 2023 at 7:26 am

    >> He just ran the unedited video. <<

Sorta. From what I understand, the CCTV footage produced by the House cameras and aired during the Democrat's taxpayer funded infomercial masquerading as a "hearing" WAS edited by an ABC television producer hired by Democrats. It's been alleged the TV executive either added sound to the visual imagery or amplified it to make the images more sensational.

If that is true, they used doctored evidence. That would never be allowed in a legitimate trial in an honest country seeking to uncover "truth."

It was propaganda. Meant to improve Democrat electoral chances in 2022 and turn public opinion against Trump/Republicans.

That's what Mitch McConnell is endorsing.

McConnell views us like cattle. He honestly believes he’s far more intelligent than the populace and they must be ruled because they’re incapable of making decisions on their own. Our only use is to provide tax dollars and votes. He’s one of the main reasons I dropped the republican party status on my voter registration.

McConnell is saying that if the cops say a crime happened one way and there is evidence that they are lying, he is still siding with the cops. Think about any case where the cops have been caught lying and through exculpatory evidence, they have been exposed, McConnell is still siding with the liars! On top of that, he doesn’t want the evidence to be made public. I guess this was his stand on the Russian hoax even after it was proven to be a lie. He is truly suffering from TDS and is shaming the citizens of KY.

“ McConnell is saying that if the cops say a crime happened one way and there is evidence that they are lying, he is still siding with the cops. ”

That is a more common sentiment than one may think.

The Turtle was happy to team up with Pelosi to put on the J6 charade,

Pelosi set this all up. She cooperated with the FBI in inserting plants. She refused Trump’s offer of the National Guard that would have prevented things from getting out of hand. She had the capitol police escort the “shaman” to the chamber precisely so the visually dramatic loon would become the face of the J6rs. And she appointed leftists-only to the J6 committee.

All to set up a wholly false narrative to discredit Trump.

The Establishment really never misses an opportunity to disappoint, does it. He could have just said nothing about any of it, but nah…..

More confirmation that Cocaine Mitch is playing for the other team.

Tucker is “depicting” what actually happening, by showing actual video of the event.

The fact that this is diametrically opposed to the narrative pushed by the Left, which includes the Capital Police and Mitch McConnell, proves that they are complete frauds.

Funny seeing all of the same people that are forever yammering on about “transparency” up in arms right now over Tucker, thanks to Speaker McCarthy, actually providing it.

Hey, Mitch, enjoy those free Senate massages while you can.
Your days are numbered.

The Gentle Grizzly | March 8, 2023 at 2:47 am

I am led to understand that Charles Schumer is somewhat upset about the tapes.

I hope Mr. Carlson has good bodyguards.

Why wouldn’t the chief of the Capitol Police say anything other than what he reported?

Just spitballin’ mind you, but how about because he didn’t want to go to prison for perjury?

“It was a mistake in my view for Fox News to depict this in a way that’s completely at variance with what our chief law enforcement official here at Capitol thinks.””

I don’t give a DAMN what the “chief law enforcement official here at Capitol thinks.” Another stupid bureaucrat gaslighting us.

I happen to trust my lying eyes.

Meanwhile, DeSantis is focusing on more important international issues:

https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2023/03/07/desantis-trolls-biden-asks-djokovic-could-enter-us-boat/

While the US is burning… the panicking global establishment desperately tries to pave the way for him by relieving him of having to face Trump in a primary? It’s up to DeSantis to get serious and clear the air. I’m not holding my breath.

CommoChief in reply to Pasadena Phil. | March 8, 2023 at 10:14 am

Pointing out the continued lunacy of the Federal govt Covid response and bizarre jab mandate for a ‘vax’ that the Fed govt admits will not stop transmission seems like a net positive. The tournament is hosted in FL and DeSantis is the Gov so…..when the totalitarians hand you lemons then take the opportunity to make lemonade. When the Fed govt throws a high hanging curve you can’t be upset when the batter knocks it out of the park.

In the dictionary, next to the compound term “craven, RINO weenie,” there should be a picture of Mitch.

I see that Public Citizen (i.e. Ralph Nader) has sued Speaker McCarthy

2smartforlibs | March 8, 2023 at 9:50 am

There would be nothing to hide if it would have all been released in the first place.

There is nothing to hide now either. Congress has had these tapes all along and wouldn’t even release them to the defense attorneys in the Jan 6 kangaroo court. And instead of making dishonest proclamations about how everyone who disagrees with them and calling them traitors and liars, why don’t THEY release what it is they believe makes their case? We all know why and that is why they are painted in a corner.

It’s time to start preparing for that Nuremberg-style trial because this is beyond a mere domestic Uniparty problem. Our national establishment leaders are part of a very organized cabal of globalists whose grand plan is well underway. Things just aren’t going as smoothly as they planned. They were so sure that they had ended the Trump MAGA movement. Surprise!

It is not government of the people, it is government vs. the people. Tucker nailed it, THEY ARE ALL ON THE SAME SIDE, us vs. them.

Here in these threads, we have trouble discerning who “them” is. I keep arguing that “them” is the globalist uniparty while other keeps presenting this as a fight among Republicans. I don’t know how to put it any better than how Carlson did last night. Why isn’t DeSantis fighting for US? So far, all of his endorsements and donations are coming from “them”. It doesn’t get any more obvious than that.

CommoChief in reply to Pasadena Phil. | March 8, 2023 at 11:21 am

      Phil,

You are correct about defining the adversary; adherents of globalism, those who back unfettered bureaucratic power and those opposed to individual liberty.

You are far too broad in whom you attempt to place as belonging to the coalition of our adversaries.

IMO, many of the folks donating to DeSantis do so not out of love for him or his policies; bring Disney to heel, stop CRT, empower Parents, use appointments to modify Higher ED policies, remove woke Prosecutors, refusal to enable Fauchi and his Covid totalitarian vision, highlight the blue City hypocrisy on immigration and so on.

These folks don’t really want DeSantis so much as they fear what a 2nd Trump admin would mean for them. They are scared to death that DJT would use the power of the executive and the agencies to engage in the sort of vindictive behavior they themselves would wield if given an opportunity.

“They are scared to death that DJT would use the power of the executive and the agencies to engage in the sort of vindictive behavior they themselves would wield if given an opportunity.”

That fear is rooted in ignorance. Trump will be long-remembered for being the great savior on a par with Washington and Lincoln should be succeed in saving us from this global Marxist takeover. It will require the removal of many, many people from their positions of power. Those are the same people trying to destroy Trump by talking about his “baggage” including the image that Trump is a psychotic megalomaniac. There is little hope for people who are so naive and simple-minded. The result of a lack of education, especially and education in history.

The same people who always argue that “perfection is the enemy of the good” but obsess about imperfections, real and imaginary, for very good candidates. Lincoln brought a TON of “baggage” in his own time and was a flawed person. It’s a dumb argument only introduced by simple-minded people who have trouble thinking things through.

I am not worried about what those people think, they are only preaching to the choir of losing. But it helps to draw them out and make them face the absurdity of their logic and they again argue that it is never EVER the right time to do the right thing. The hero we need who presents himself is always “imperfect” facts be damned.

CommoChief in reply to Pasadena Phil. | March 8, 2023 at 4:48 pm

          Phil,

That’s a very well reasoned post. I do disagree about the fear. IMO they are projecting onto DJT how they would act with a 2nd term and lots of scores to settle. These big money folks are by and large not immoral but sort of amoral, libertarian lite, want to be viewed as ‘good’. They don’t care what the flavor of ‘good’ is as long as they can buy an indulgence that keeps people off their back and out of the way of their profits.

That’s why the culture war battle DeSantis is engaging in, and winning, is important. It’s the grassroots, bottom up example for other States and it energizes the base by providing a series of incremental wins ahead of ’24 to rally around. Whomever is the nominee can pick up the baton and carry it forward if they are willing to do so.

my thoughts on what to do with him would get me banned here.

Mitch McConnell is one of the main reasons this country is in the sorry state it’s in. The Demonrats would not have been able to be so successful in their long march through the institutions and scorched earth takeover of public life without him strangling their opposition in the Senate.

So, Little Tuck, a known liar, tells easily debunked lies to sell snake oil to a small number of true believers, and by doing so not only discredits Foxnews even more, but the Republican party and that pond scum McCarthy more broadly, while reminding the moderate median voters who have already shown that they’d practically crawl over broken glass to vote against this madness that the GOP is still full on conspiracy mode and pro temper tantrum.

Yet Cocaine Mitch is somehow the bad guy for pointing out that this was all a bad idea…

Capitalist-Dad | March 9, 2023 at 9:28 am

As if we didn’t know that McConnell was on the same side as the Democrat Reich! All the RINOs are lining up to decry release of ALL the video to the peasants. I say, “Why to go, Tucker!” You are demonstrating how duplicitous the Dem/RINO uniparty is.

Chuck is all in on stopping the videos, while Speaker McCarthy now says he will release all the video to the public (eventually).

—One important note to remember, on Jan-6-2021, the Senate was tied 50-50 so Mitch McConnell and Chuck Schumer had equal responsibility for security on the Senate side, while Nancy Pelsoi had complete responsibility on the House side. Seems obvious why McConnell stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Schumer on these videos

In the Meantime, Speaker McCarthy is allowing Representatives to schedule times to view the J6 videos with their staffers

@BennieGThompson
, former chair of the Jan. 6 committee, said lawmakers were never
given that type of access to the footage last Congress. “It’s strictly a
new policy that the new speaker has put in place,” he told CNN.

Thompson said he doesn’t think any of the Jan. 6 members themselves ever had access to the footage — they let only staff view it. “I’m actually not aware of any member of the committee who had access. We had a team of employees who kind of went through the video.”

.. damning and an attempt to exculpate themselves at the same time
