Jan. 6 Footage: Capitol Police Escorting a Calm ‘QAnon Shaman’ to Senate Floor

“The tapes show the Capitol police never stopped Jacob Chansley. They helped him. They acted as his tour guides.”

Tucker Carlson’s report on the unaired January 6th footage showed us exactly what we knew: Everyone on that stupid committee is a liar and complicit in one of the biggest cover-ups. How dare they:

CARLSON: “These are the pictures you have seen of January sixth. They are familiar but it turns out there is quite a bit of video you haven’t seen and that video tells a very different story about what happened on January 6th. More than 40,000 hours of surveillance footage from in and around the Capitol have been withheld from the public. Once you see the video, you will understand why. Taken as a whole the video record does not support the claim that January 6th was an insurrection. In fact, it demolishes that claim. That is exactly why the Democratic Party and its allies in the media prevented you from seeing it. By controlling the images you are allowed to view from January 6th, they control how the public understood that day. They could lie about what happened and you would never know the difference. Those lies had a purpose. They created a pretext for a federal crackdown on opponents of the party in Washington.”

Take, for instance, Jacob Chansley, the man known as “QAnon Shaman.” He was sentenced to four years behind bars for supposedly “obstructing an official proceeding.”

Video shows Capital Police escorting a calm Chansley to the Senate floor: “The tapes show the Capitol police never stopped Jacob Chansley. They helped him. They acted as his tour guides.”

You didn’t need video to know that the dem reaction was crap.

The low-infos do, but they’re probably not watching.

Olinser in reply to rhhardin. | March 7, 2023 at 12:43 pm

You simply needed to know that they were refusing to release any VIDEO to know that their reaction was complete and total BS. If the video showed what they claimed was the WORST INSURRECTION EVAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR, then it would have been wall to wall on MSNBC.

And never forget just how many piece of trash RINOs like Biiiitch McConnell, Pierre Delecto, Crying Kizinger, and Little Lizzy Cheney went along with this crap.

A lot of innocent people are serving hard time as part of the J6 lie. Their lives are ruined by the State.

Does Brady apply to misdemeanors? If so, was of all of this footage disclosed to the defendants?

Of course not, which is why every conviction should be overturned at once and everyone still in jail without being charged should be released.

Connivin Caniff in reply to WTPuck. | March 7, 2023 at 10:53 am

And the prosecutors and judges all knew what was going on – fire, disbar and/or impeach them all. And don’t forget the faux defense lawyers.

There is no longer such a thing as “justice” in America. It has been replaced with democrat party “theater”.

    FIFY

With all these videos of the “shaman” walking around with an escort essentially being a tourist, shouldn’t there be videos of him performing the terrible acts for which he was sentenced to four years in prison? There are none because this was all clearly manufactured by the Left to destroy anyone for the crime of being conservative.

One commenter on TV described him as a performance artist.. That makes sense.

I doubt that Tucker would show them if there were. He’s already known to selectively leave out inconvenient facts in favor of a more lucrative narrative.

      Tough. Democrats wrote those rules.
Now it’s their turn to suffer under them.
Screw the “high road,” it doesn’t go where we need to get.

I keep expecting that that wonderful book by John Ross is going to turn into reality one of these days. I first read it around 2004 or so and when I finished I thought “well that is just how it could be done”.

And I still think that today……as we move closer to outright tyranny in our own government.

This isn’t fighting back. It’s not fighting at all. It’s about selling snake oil.

In your delusional logic the Left has no rules, to the Right must also have no rules. If they lie, then the right must also lie, and by doing so fight like they do.

The problem is that you are not fighting like they do. Aside from the obvious fact that the Left are in a position to sell their lie while Little Tuck was easily debunked, and not only do the Democrats not “suffer”, they benefiting from Tucker’s sad and pathetic attempt to sell a nonsense narrative.

That’s not fighting, it’s flailing about.

But this was never about “fighting back”. Tucker doesn’t believe a word he says. He’s selling snake oil to people who desperately want to believe it is so because they are too frightened of reality.

If he’d done anything wrong, the Dem’s J6 unselect committee would have shown the video years ago, and the D’s propaganda “mainstream” press would have shown it a million times since.

Milhouse in reply to Cleetus. | March 9, 2023 at 1:32 am

The “terrible acts” for which he was sentenced was the fact that he was there at all, disrupting the proceeding.

This charge of “disrupting a congressional proceeding” was essentially made up by the J6 prosecutors. The act they are relying on is not about that at all. It was meant to refer only to things like destroying evidence that congress is looking for, and until two years ago nobody ever thought it could be used for protesters, no matter how violent.

Sorry. This is not legal behavior. The Congress was in session at the time to certify the Electoral College vote. Chansley pleaded guilty to obstructing Congress,

The QANON shaman must have had a lawyer.. I want to know if that defense saw (had access to) those videos. Simple question. I don’t believe that they did,,,but I want to hear it officially. Brady Violations are a thing. … seems to me this is a textbook case. At the very least the video shows that many Capitol police aided and abetted him.. Why weren’t they charged???

I have reached the point where I believe justice is almost dead.. definitely in a coma, somewhere.

    – – – – – – – – – –

Nah, it’s well and truly dead. At least for the common citizen. The career politicians and upper class elite have nothing to fear as the same laws that are strictly enforced against the common citizen are largely, if not completely, ignored when it comes to them.

    AF_Chief_Master_Sgt in reply to amwick. | March 7, 2023 at 9:42 am

    Aided and abetted, or entrapment?

    countryboy1947 in reply to amwick. | March 7, 2023 at 9:42 am

What “justice” looks like today in America, depends totally upon which political party you choose to associate with. The J6 prisoners, held in the democrats American version of a soviet gulag, are all the proof one needs to see. The left own the courts, the media propaganda machine, academia and more. How do the rest of us who still care about freedom fight them, other than bringing John Ross’s famous book to life?

Danny in reply to amwick. | March 7, 2023 at 6:56 pm

The defense had no access, and he was sentenced based on footage that was unavailable.

There was a sailor who was sentenced based not on what he agreed to plead guilty to but what the government claimed it had on what it didn’t charge him with.

That tactic is being repeated today.

Going through a red light is against the law.
A police officer waiving you through a red light suspends that law.
Entering the Capitol unauthorized is against the law.
A police officer….

I blame Nancy “Black Hand” Pelosi

A small correction to the closing line of your transcript of Tucker’s opening monolog: he said “opponents of the uniparty in Washington”.

@Cernovich

Trump had the lawful authority to preemptively pardon every non-violence J6’er. That is not up for debate. The power was Trump’s.

He chose not to defend those who were certain to face persecution, instead choosing out a corrupt Detroit mayor and other friends of Kim Kardashian.

    2smartforlibs in reply to JR. | March 7, 2023 at 12:45 pm

You have to have a charge to have a pardon. Trump was gone before anything went to court. Again someone played right into the left’s trap.

      @Cernovich
      ·
Dunno why you people try arguing with me.

Blanket pardons are lawful and sweeping and you needn’t wait for charges to be brought.

Jimmy Carter did one in 1977. For all the draft dodgers.

Make dumb ass excuses for Trump if you want. I don’t care.

But don’t be wrong about basics of law.

JR in reply to JR. | March 7, 2023 at 6:21 pm

Trump would rather pardon the criminal friends of his Hollywood buddies like the Kardashians than he would the non-violent J6’ers. Only now at CPAC does he talk about pardoning them. Too little too late.

JR in reply to JR. | March 7, 2023 at 7:24 pm

I don’t blame Trump for any of these people being arrested and jailed. But I do blame him for not pardoning them when he had a chance. That will be part of his legacy.

ThePrimordialOrderedPair in reply to JR. | March 7, 2023 at 10:05 pm

Blanket pardons and pardons without convictions (let alone charges) are not lawful. I don’t care who did them. They were illegal then and they are still illegal. You cannot pardon someone for “nothing”.

What Carter did was legislate, not pardon.

Bullshit. They have always been lawful, and Carter was not only completely within his authority but also completely within history and tradition.

He was following Thomas Jefferson’s example, who as soon as he was sworn in pardoned everyone convicted under the Alien and Sedition Acts.

He was also following Ford’s example when he preemptively pardoned Nixon for all federal offenses he may have committed during his terms of office, without even knowing what those hypothetical crimes might have been.

Pardons without charges (let alone convictions) were explicitly upheld in Ex Parte Garland:

The Constitution does not say what sort of pardon; but the term being generic necessarily includes every species of pardon, individual as well as general, conditional as well as absolute.
          […]
—it is equally within his prerogative to extend it so as to include a whole class of offenders—to interpose this act of clemency before trial or conviction; and not merely to take away the penalty, but to forgive and obliterate the offence.

      Milhouse in reply to 2smartforlibs. | March 9, 2023 at 1:34 am

You have to have a charge to have a pardon.

      No, you don’t.

2smartforlibs | March 7, 2023 at 12:43 pm

Pretty clear why the uni party didn’t want this out. The problem now is the Kool-Aid crowd will never pay attention to any of this.

That’s an amazing clip. 6.5 minutes of pure gaslighting by Schumer. Democrats must be utterly terrified.

jolanthe in reply to MarkSmith. | March 7, 2023 at 4:45 pm

Schumer says “all of us” saw the event “with our own eyes.” That seems odd to say as most of us only saw the event via media coverage.

henrybowman in reply to MarkSmith. | March 7, 2023 at 5:28 pm

Southbound Schumer needs to be meeting a northbound toxic rail transport.

I suspect that QAnon Shaman was a paid actor that the government screwed. I am guessing they paid him and keeping him locked up so not to expose how they used him.

The murders of Ashlii Babitt and Roseanne Boyland I hope are next showing how the Capital Police were the violent instigators, Scaffold Commander needs to be identified as well and where he came from and got away.

Minority Leader McConnell calls the release of the J6 footage a “mistake”.

Any question which side the Turtle is on?

ThePrimordialOrderedPair in reply to Recovering Lutheran. | March 7, 2023 at 10:01 pm

There never was a question. Almost ten years ago, already, post-turtle Mitch said that he was dedicated to crushing the Tea Party. He’s always been a miserable POS and I blame every Senate Republican who keeps voting to put him back in charge.

Remember- the domestic terrorists who tried to torch the federal building in Portland were arrested and set free. Video evidence on them was quite damning…and not refuted.

Why isn’t all the footage being made fully public? Selectively giving it to Tucker, who is known to selectively leave out inconvenient facts in favor of a more lucrative narrative, ought to give one pause, especially since the “it’s just a peaceful protest” is also contradicted by plenty of footage showing quite the opposite.

I’m sure the many if not most of the people just followed the crowd in an meant no harm, but that doesn’t mean there weren’t some crazies throwing a histrionic temper tantrum. The median moderate voter doesn’t want to continuously be reminded of this and is willing to move on… but some people care less about winning elections than selling a preferred narrative to their audience.

Yeah, giving the footage to Tucker was a huge mistake if the goal was to get to the truth. Even if everything he showed was 100% accurate, his status as a partisan commentator isn’t going to help to convince those who aren’t already convinced. We have to get beyond this whole “own the libs” thing and start to try to appeal to independents and, yes, persuadable Democrats.

Because releasing all of it would show exactly how the Capital Police’s security system works for the Capital building.

Speaker McCarthy trusted Tucker and his crew to refrain from broadcasting such details.

The alternative was to wait months, possibly years, for congressional staffers to sort through it all and edit out the parts that would compromise security.

Who do imagine he should have given access to? There isn’t a single credible journalist in the entire legacy “mainstream” press – print, tv, or radio. Not a single outlet, nor any of their employees, would ever go against the D’s false narrative.

McCarthy trusted Tucker to lie to the people who might donate to McCarthy. It’s a transparent grift that neither McCarthy nor Tucker are very good at aside from taking advantage of a small number of true believers… at the expense of advancing anything politically useful.

Legal Insurrection has “arrived”! Dembots, Progbots, BLMbots and Antifabots have begun posting.

You’re kidding, right? Political Hat is a giant of the old right-wing blogoshpere. Those were the days. Sigh.

Okay, nostalgia binge over now, but PH is definitely NOT a bot or troll of any kind, nor is he a dem, prog, blm, or antifa anything but staunch and decades-old opposition.

And your evidence for any of this is?

Remember that all the Democrats with bylines who are now demanding access didn’t want it until Carlson got it. Now they’re demanding equal treatment, but until last week they wanted nobody to see this footage. They wanted it buried forever; now they want preferential access. Screw them. They should get nothing.

Starting to see many, and not talking about Leftists but ” Republicans” who are disagreeing the videos should be released or it’s not what Tucker is showing

We’re grateful to you, Tucker Carlson. No let’s have EVERYTHING released to the public.

It’s possible all the serious “concerns” about revealing too much about the Capitol security could mean they don’t want us to know the extent it’s NOT truly “working”. (Certainly those officers weren’t. )
