Defense Department DEI Chief Made Disparaging Remarks About White People on Twitter

“I’m exhausted with these white folx in the [professional development] sessions.”

Kelisa Wing is the chief diversity officer in the education wing at the Department of Defense. She is herself, currently on defense, over some things she wrote on Twitter about white people.

This story is an excellent reminder of just how embedded the ideology behind diversity, equity and inclusion is at every level of our government.

FOX News reports:

Defense Department DEI education official claims past racially-charged tweets were ‘private speech’

The chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer at the Department of Defense’s education wing defended herself against claims from lawmakers that she made “racially disparaging” statements, according to reports.

Fox News Digital reported in September 2022 that Kalisa Wing, the DEI chief at the Department of Defense Education Activity, or DODEA, which provides K-12 education to the DoD community in the U.S. and all over the world, wrote a series of disparaging posts about White people on Twitter.

In an interview with the Military Times, Wing said when she made the statements, she was not speaking on behalf of the DoDEA, but instead as an educator and private citizen.

“No, I did not make disparaging comments against White people,” she said. “I would never categorize an entire group of people to disparage them. I’m speaking now as a private individual, about my private free speech from July of 2022.”

Wing wrote in a series of tweets in June 2020, that have since been taken down, “I’m exhausted with these white folx in the [professional development] sessions.”

“[T]his lady actually had the CAUdacity to say that black people can be racist too… I had to stop the session and give Karen the BUSINESS… [W]e are not the majority, we don’t have power,” she continued.

See the screencap below:

Here’s more from the Military Times:

Wing told Military Times that tweet must be considered within the context of that day. The professional development session was was not affiliated with DoDEA, she said. It was held outside of work on a day when she was off.

“I was in a space where I was the only person of color,” she said. It was in the wake of George Floyd’s murder in 2020. “The purpose of that was people wanting to reconcile what was happening at the present time.

“In the middle of that session, someone just called out, ‘Well, Black people are racist, too.’ It didn’t have any context to what we were talking about, and I started to explain to her that yes, everybody can be racist. But we’re talking about systemic racism and how that impacts people and their ability for housing, their ability for a lot of things.

“That’s something that I thought we were there to discuss.”

The lawmakers also cited press reports stating that Wing tweeted she was “exhausted by 99% of the white men in education and 95% of the white women.”

I think we may have figured out one of the reasons the military is having such a hard time meeting recruitment goals.

“Defense Department DEI Chief Made Disparaging Remarks About White People on Twitter”

All part of the job.

Why the hell do we even need a Department of DEI? There’s no purpose for this entire office which is being subsidized by tax payers. I wonder how many people are employed in this utterly wasteful occupation.

DIEversity (i.e. color judgment, class-based bigotry) denies individual dignity, individual conscience, intrinsic value, normalizes color blocs (e.g. “people of color”), color quotas, and affirmative discrimination. One step forward, two steps backward.

Sick, unintelligent, bigoted people. They are never short on sanctimony, but morally challenged in their own right. Past time to tell them to take a flying leap.

I do not trust the awareness of someone who doesn’t notice their necklace is on backwards. Clasp in back, girl.

from: https://www.dictionary.com/e/slang/caudacity/

WHAT DOES CAUDACITY MEAN?

Caudacity is a slang term for audacity demonstrated by white people. In particular, caudacity is frequently used in reference to bold, shameless displays of white privilege and racism.

The use of caudacity overlaps heavily with the related slang term caucacity. The two terms are often used interchangeably to refer to ridiculous or offensive behavior by white people who don’t expect to suffer any consequences for their actions.

However, while caucacity is sometimes used outside of the context of racism, such as to refer to activities stereotypically engaged in by white people, caudacity is usually used in a way that implies some form of racist behavior.

The more I see and hear of such things, the more I long for the days when White people were in charge.

No courses on Western philosophy in the DEI career education track.

Those damn white folx . . . they’re . . . hopelessly. . . WHITE!!!

One of the folx forced into her re-education camp should have filed a complaint against this slug. We’re going to be stuck with racism until racists like her start to suffer some professional consequences..

No. This was a public action that strongly suggests both prejudice and ill will toward a segment of the population based upon their skin color. It presents the appearance of impropriety at best, and is a signal that this person is unwilling to adhere to the accepted standards of equal treatment under the laws.

She need to be removed from her position. Now.

She can take her systemic racism accusations and stick it where the sun don’t shine. As I commented elsewhere, if she thinks non-black people in this country are systemically racist she has two choices: 1) suck it up and stop whining; 2) she can find another country to live without systemic racism, possibly the moon or Mars.

if she thinks non-black people in this country are systemically racist

It seems like you don’t understand the term “systemic racism”. Systemic racism is not a property of people but of a system. That’s the beauty of this invention — it means that you can have racism even without any racists. People can be sure that they are not racists, and they may even be correct, but it doesn’t matter; racism is inherent in the system, so the black people get to play victim anyway. It’s the racism that can’t be got rid of, so we can never say “fine, we’ve fixed up our act, can we stop hearing about racism now?” No, we’ll always hear about racism, no matter what we do.

And questioning the existence of this systemic racism is the best proof that it exists. If it didn’t exist nobody would question it. Or something. No, wait, that doesn’t work. I think the line is that its nonexistence is just not possible, so if you think it doesn’t exist you’re so permeated by it that you can’t even see it. Or something.

Agreed. And so we get those calls to “abolish whiteness”.

I’m going to start talking about abolishing blackness as a metaphor for crime prevention. Let’s see how well that is received.

Basically, it means that true believers can be lazy and callous with their language but the dissenter must be policed to the fullest extent of discomfort lest their ideas gain traction.

          How is that not fascism???

The flaw in this invention that any intellectually honest person would point out is that there are no elements in the current law providing for systemic racism.

The high degree of circularity and absolutism (the racism is proven because this disparity means that it must exist and there’s no other explanation) should have had this idea shelved from its inception. However, that’s probably too white.

henrybowman in reply to Milhouse. | February 16, 2023 at 11:54 pm

And besides, claiming you fixed up your act is just more proof you haven’t. Because just saying so makes it clear you still don’t understand that you will NEVER be able to atone.

Seems kinda bad. Lets play a game where we use simple word substitution for every other ‘race’ as if the statement were authored by a member of another tribe and see how that looks. Power resides in the hands of those whom no one dares to criticize or when leveled the criticism is muted and without meaningful consequences.

Wonder how she’d respond if told to stop Blacksplaining?

Pop quiz: name three examples of CRT/DIE mavens ever complimenting white people.

Albinophobia is an especially pernicious psychopathy in some, many African societies. In America, too, under the Rainbow banner, with pride and parades, no less.

Ms Wing claims ‘white folx ‘ are being racist yet she is the one exhibiting prejudice. Is that not also be racist?

Racist in charge of DEI at Pentagon claims she has no power.

well, she’s wearing pearls in her mugshot

Her hair looks like someone swiped a knife through it in a Looney Toons cartoon.

(Whoever told you that makes you look good is not your friend.)

Women in her demographic are the most racist people on the planet these days.

“But we’re talking about systemic racism and how that impacts people and their ability for housing, their ability for a lot of things.”

The wench with assuredly limited mentality and lacking the cognitive abilities to view life outside its indoctrination has apparently never given any credence to those poor put-upon White souls stupid enough to be living in sub-Saharan Africa where the primitive native population swarms throughout the land where White folks are in constant peril.

Such a shame the needed deeds were not performed in 1865.

This Marxist should be terminated from her employment forthwith

Most Western countries are systematically racist against whites and Christians.*

*I know, not a race.

If white foix would have made similar comments they would have been fired immediately. So why is she still employed? I guess she’s got black privilege!

Zir wasn’t hired despite those tweets, but because of them. The point is not the policy, or even what policy they prefer, but that they can force policy, personnel, and practice on us that we object to.

This movement’s whole performance is about authoritah — they have it, they like it, they’ll use it, an there’s nothing you can do about it. That boot stomping on a human face forever, for no end but the fact of the stomping is literally their sought utopia.

So, of course you can’t shame them with inconsistency or bad results. The imposing is its own reward. You can point this out, so some folks on the outside might get the hint.
