GOP Rep. Nancy Mace Confronts Trans Activist With Her Own Dangerous Rhetoric

“Mace asked Caraballo if she believed her own tweet was a threat to democracy”

Republican Rep. Nancy Mace of South Carolina attended a House Oversight and Reform Committee hearing this week where one of the witnesses was a trans activist named Alejandra Caraballo.

Once Mace got Caraballo to say that extremist rhetoric on social media is dangerous, Mace dragged out some of Caraballo’s own tweets.

FOX News reported:

Mace then called up a picture of a tweet Caraballo sent over the summer, after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.

“The 6 justices who overturned Roe should never know peace again,” Caraballo tweeted. “It is our civic duty to accost them every time they are in public. They are pariahs. Since women don’t have their rights, these justices should never have a peaceful moment in public again.”

Mace asked Caraballo if she believed her own tweet was a threat to democracy, and when Caraballo said she would like to provide “context” to her tweet, Mace shut her down.

“I have a question… yes or no,” Mace said. “Do you believe your rhetoric is a threat to democracy when you’re calling to accost a branch of government, the Supreme Court.”

“I don’t believe that’s a correct characterization of my statements,” Caraballo said.

But don’t you understand? MY Extremist rhetoric is perfectly okay! I should be able to call for violence against anyone I don’t like! It’s only people who disagree with me that shouldn’t be allowed pubic discourse!

I truly love it when a DemocRat is fed their own words, and then tries to add “Context,”when what they said is laid out verbatim!!

“It’s different when we do it” said every leftist, ever.

Transfascist. Works at Harvard.
Comfortable upper middle class lifestyle. Life is so hard for him.

Regarding republicans and congressional fact finding hearings. We need to talk. This sort of emotional relationship used to be enough for me. But now I need more. A real commitment. Something that shows how i’m more than just a familiar and comforting object. That I’m more than a cold, wet, wash-rag hanging in the shower stall. Trey, my old squeeze, never got past that last bit.

The trans/gay political lobby is the”threat,” but not to democracy, since the United States are a democratic republic in which our elected representatives vote in the interests of those with the most clout.

The trans/gay lobby poses the greatest current threat to our First Amendment right to free speech, since they and their allies in public education have been yammering away for decades about “hate speech,” a concept created to advance the preposterous argument that insults are lethal weapons. Never mind the “sticks and stones” adage.

Hate is an emotion, you pathetic creeps, and there are plenty of causes of genuine righteous hate and anger, one of which is the insistence that the trans lobby is beyond criticism and any attempt to call them out for their preposterous ideas is dubbed as an existential threat. The more you yammer about “hate speech” and cite this bugbear as a threat deserving of silencing, the more I hate you and the more strenuously I will oppose your idiotic and thin-skinned efforts to make everyone conform to your twisted utopian fantasy world.

I’ve had it.

OK. Point to Mace but recall that Mace just voted for the Desecrate Marriage Act. She’s a part time conservative at best. She scores on this but is not too far away from the line. Is she trying to prove something? Reminder: South Carolina, politically speaking, is a pseudo-Red State.
