Schumer: We Need Amnesty for Illegals Because Americans Aren’t Reproducing Like They Used To

“…we’re short of workers. We have a population that is not reproducing on its own with the same level that it used to. The only way we’re going to have a great future in America is if we welcome … [and] get a path to citizenship for all 11 million, or however many undocumented there are here.” -Schumer

https://youtu.be/grwnbk6lxdo

In the aftermath of the anticipated House red wave turning out to be a red trickle and Democrats narrowly holding on to control of the Senate with just one Senate race (Georgia) left to be decided, Democrat “leaders” are pouncing and seizing on the opportunity to lay their true agenda all out there on the line.

Case in point, Sen. Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), who, on the steps of the U.S. Capitol Wednesday alongside several of his colleagues, declared the election “over” and insinuated Senate Democrats now had the mandate to ram their amnesty agenda through because Americans “rejected” the supposedly “deeply anti-immigrant message of the MAGA Republicans”:

Senate Democrats and recipients and advocates of the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, or DACA, held a news conference outside the U.S. Capitol stressing that December is their best chance in the foreseeable future to protect, and even save, the decade-old program.

[…]

“The election is over,” said Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. “Now let’s do the right thing. Now let’s roll up our sleeves and get this done. Americans sent a clear message [in the midterms]. They rejected the deeply anti-immigrant message of the MAGA Republicans.”

During the same presser, Schumer suggested that a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants must be established ASAP, imploring ten GOP Senators to come on board in the lame-duck session because our country is allegedly “short of workers” and is not “reproducing on its own with the same level that it used to”:

“Now more than ever we’re short of workers. We have a population that is not reproducing on its own with the same level that it used to. The only way we’re going to have a great future in America is if we welcome and embrace immigrants — the DREAMers and all of them — because our ultimate goal is to help the DREAMers — but get a path to citizenship for all 11 million, or however many undocumented, there are here.”

Watch:

Undoubtedly, Schumer’s version of a pathway to citizenship for illegals includes the right to vote because instantly creating millions more potentially new Democrat voters is at the heart of any Democratic open borders/amnesty policy related to the southern border.

That said, others were quick to point out that maybe had Democrats not been such staunch proponents of abortion on demand and put such a deemphasis on the traditional family unit, then perhaps Americans might actually be reproducing more or something:

Flashback:

Conservative commentator Matt Walsh and others suggested that Schumer was advocating for “The Great Replacement Theory” out loud:

I suspect popular Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who The Usual Suspects, including Chuck Schumer, have accused of racism over his alleged peddling of such hotly-debated theories, is going to have a field day once he gets a hold of Schumer’s comments.

In fact, Carlson has my full permission to use “toldjah so” in his commentary if he so desires. Just sayin’…

In other words, bring in ill-educated third world welfare cases so the Democrats can win every election. The fact is we have too many people as it is. Traffic, homelessness and welfare are totally out of hand.

There are too many entitlements that need to end. LFPR will go back up once someone puts the grown ups in charge while ditching the grifters.

Uh, no, Not buying into the overpopulation nonsense. That just plays into the hands of those advocating abortion and we already have too many democrats who support infanticide.

It’s actually the opposite, for if the slowing in repopulation is such a dire problem, then baby murder becomes unpatriotic and should be banned.

So Jews do want to replace us.. 😒 🤪 I thought that was a right wing conspiracy theory? Apparently Chuckie wants to make it reality. They run magazine and news articles telling us not to have children while simultaneously advocating for a 3rd world flood of economic migrants. They have relabeled them “climate refugees” now so it’s more PC with their agenda. Fvck these sociopaths.

Not only no but F*CK NO! Under NO circumstances should anybody be rewarded for breaking our laws.

These people are illegal invaders and they all need to be expelled. Every last one of them.

CommoChief in reply to Paul. | November 17, 2022 at 2:23 pm

Wait about this as a compromise offer from our side? (The d/prog will almost reject it out of hand)
No ‘amnesty’ but rather forbearance with conditions.
    1. Confession of illegal presence in the US, + fingerprint +DNA to be run to see what turns up
    2. Date the illegal presence began
    3. List of employers full history
    4. Admission of identity theft or use of forged ID, stolen Social Security # and any fake ID
    5. Tax fraud or non payment
    6. Confession of any other crimes committed
    7. Repayment of back taxes and any govt benefits received via fraud or while ineligible
    8. Six months to do so, hard deadline, no exeptions, no sob stories, no discretion, no mercy. Comply or be deported. One falsehood = noncompliance.

Do that and you get a ‘yellow card’ not a green card. The yellow card has no direct path to citizenship. After going twenty years as a model resident they can apply for a green card. Expect to be audited at least twice in those two decades.

Add a border wall. Add robust interior enforcement. Add a one decade pause in immigration at a 500K cap based on merit and needed skills only to absorb and assimilate. Then raise or lower the cap based on needed skills.

healthguyfsu in reply to CommoChief. | November 17, 2022 at 2:27 pm

They’d be better off going back and applying for citizenship….which is exactly what they should do.

CommoChief in reply to healthguyfsu. | November 17, 2022 at 2:46 pm

Maybe but they would only have six months to exit or be subjected to round up and biometric data being collected to forever bar entry once deported.

My initial post was a bit of an emotional reaction. It infuriates me the way the Democrats have been encouraging this illegality for many years now, doing great damage to millions of Americans, all in a craven and transparent power-play.

The compromise you suggest has a lot of good things about it. Many of the people who have come here are people we would benefit from letting them stay here. But as you suggest, there are ways to do that which don’t include citizenship. If they truly want a ‘better life’ then they’ll be happy to be here with a ‘yellow card’ / work permit and have citizenship as a future benefit for their children.

Those with criminal records definitely need to go back to where they came from.

And as you suggest, any compromise MUST include a truly permanent solution to the border. Something that the next Democrat administration can’t just reverse with inaction or bullshit executive orders. Otherwise we’re just getting punked like Reagan did in the ’80s.

CommoChief in reply to Paul. | November 17, 2022 at 6:13 pm

        Paul,

I get it, we all do. The establishment plays a game where they pretend to care what the voters want but never delivering. True of both sides in fact.

Something like what I outlined satisfies everyone except those who want zero limits or zero consequences on one side and those who demand retribution and vengeance on the other.

None of our leaders will put forward a plan that directly secures the border, imposes penalties on employers, has robust interior enforcement, gets rid of the truly criminal while allowing those who crossed illegally but were otherwise law abiding to stay but under a form of unsupervised parole where for two decades they must walk the line or be sent back.

Why? It would solve the damn problem. Then they couldn’t use the issue to make promises and raise funds off of. I fear we are gonna get rolled like in 1986.

artichoke in reply to CommoChief. | November 18, 2022 at 9:04 am

No. Plenty of generationally low-skilled people would do fine on that as they sit on our welfare rolls and collect EITC. I’m less concerned about the corrupt high-flyers (our storied history has plenty of those) but the generationally unproductive.

What we need is a real “public charge” rule for those 20 years. Touch welfare or receive a penny of EITC in those 20 years, and you’re automatically done. And that’s only if “NO” doesn’t risk and Schumer’s wet dream is about to pass the Senate.

CommoChief in reply to artichoke. | November 18, 2022 at 9:21 am

How about require a Sponsor who can be responsible for financial assistance?

Lots of bleeding heart lefties pontificate about how much they care but I doubt the care enough to reach very deeply into their own pocket. Instead they spend our money to burnish their virtue.

        Concur with this.

It’s called The Martha’s Vineyard Effect.

I will keep on voting Democrat until the problems reach my neighborhood, my street and my front yard.

I bet amnesty for illegals is one of those “between the 40 yard line” issues.

Who is “we” here? Some bunch of people who aren’t the workers? Why do they need more?

Given the level of nonsense jobs — there’s a marvelous article, book, and meme using a more vulgar term — not sure “more workers” is the thing.

Besides, do I not recall great swaths of workers being deemed “not essential” not so long ago? So what’s the need, to do what?

I’m going to get into trouble for saying this, but it needs to be said.
I’m not the only one around here trying to make the illegal feel unwelcome. If you come legally and adopt American values, then that is awesome.
If you are here flying giant Mexican, Honduras or El Salvador flags from your Ford F-350 with “Si Se Puede” on the back glass and MS-13 or Latin Kings tattoos adorning your body then you should expect hostility from we “deplorables”. FA/FO.

If you live in Miami and lock English speakers out of conducting business, and behave like arrogant assholes toward those whose families have been here far longer than you, you should get hostility but seldom do.

El Paso was similar. To be fair the City is 80+ % Hispanic with lots of cross border ties. I speak a really bad border version Spanish, absolutely wretched non standard Arabic but decent German.

Whenever the locals played ‘hey let’s speak Spanish in front of the Gringo’ which is common, I understood what they were saying. I would then comment back in German, then Arabic then border Spanish and finally English. Loved that game personally. Always fun when those who think they are somehow getting over get caught out. 😋

I also expect hostility towards them when folks start starving.

The most impacted by this will be the people already on the lower end of the economic ladder. Let’s just add millions of people to the lower onto economic ladder.
I doubt it will happen but the groups that blindly vote for the dems and policies like this will never realize what has happened to them. If there is any sense of revolt the dems will just throw them a few trinkets to buy their silence.

Your job training goes to an illegal. Your college scholarship goes to an illegal. Your low-income housing goes to an illegal. Your place in line at the county medical clinic goes to an illegal.

Good news. When we give the illegals amnesty, they will get your job as well.

“Line must go up to pay for our boats.”

“Amnesty” seems to be the word of the week: “Covid amnesty.” “Amnesty for illegals.”

What do they think they’ll gain by getting “amnesty” in the mix of alternatives, in general? Why do they think it’ll work? What else they gonna try to get “amnesty” for — is this prep for the next horrible thing they’re gearing up to get away with?

Retired in Chicago | November 17, 2022 at 2:50 pm

We’re finally getting rid of Nancy, now how do we get rid of this guy

Democrats favor aborting millions of children and then cry out because American aren’t reproducing like they used to. Reminds me of the boy who killed his parents, then threw himself on the mercy of the courts, asking for leniency because he was an orphan.

That is called replacement theory-this is what happens when you have less marriages and more abortions

ThePrimordialOrderedPair | November 17, 2022 at 3:20 pm

They’re still pushing the “11 million” bullshit. LOL. More like 45 million, at the least.

If we “need” immigration then WE DECIDE who we want. A need of immigration, even if it were true, would not mean that we must accept criminal invaders who force themselves on us.

Illegals need to be deported and Americans who gave aid and comfort to the illegal invasion need to be tried for their TREASON.

“Americans are not reproducing like they used to”

I don’t believe it, we are getting f*cked by Democrats 24×7.

A stolen social security number is a gift to the owner of the number, as far as I can tell. With more lifetime earnings recorded, your retirement payout is increased.

CommoChief in reply to rhhardin. | November 17, 2022 at 7:22 pm

I believe the secondary source of payment from the illegal use of the # is sequestered. It goes into the Social Security kitty but not as a credit on a particular person. That payment is disbursed to current beneficiaries. For those that don’t know, all current payments by workers are dispersed to current beneficiaries; there’s no ‘account’ with your name on it with any assets backing it. Only an IOU from Uncle Sam. Talk about counter party risk….

henrybowman in reply to CommoChief. | November 17, 2022 at 8:58 pm

But first they have to identify the payments as fraudulent… otherwise, how do they know? How often does this happen, really?

CommoChief in reply to henrybowman. | November 18, 2022 at 9:33 am

Lots. My Daughter had her SS# stolen. The school district database was comprised. They like to use children’s SS# because there isn’t a tell. We had to get her # changed which is a ‘frustrating’ process to say the least. The folks at Social Security explained that someone had been using her # but they ID the contribution as fraud and didn’t apply them as part of my Daughter’s record.

If Joe has been working in X industry in Y town the past 20 years then suddenly in addition to that he’s now got additional income reported from another State that’s a tip off. The social security program keeps the money though.

The bigger issue is they don’t share date with ICE nor does the IRS nor most agencies. Not in any regular or systematic way for the purpose of ID illegal immigrants for arrest and deportation.

artichoke in reply to rhhardin. | November 18, 2022 at 9:16 am

On the subject of Social Security, these “new Americans” aren’t going to be able to keep Social Security solvent. They are low earners, not because of English fluency, but because they were low earners in their home countries. They’re low productivity people generally. That’s why they ran away from their home country that has no social safety net for them, to ours. Because they’ll make use of it, rather than supporting it for others. Schumer doesn’t even try to say he’s saving Social Security — a typical Dem talking point.

This is true of some. Some actually are hard workers whose goal is to make a better life. (And I am not going to argue here which group is larger.)

This is the problem with the visible political fight over the issue: each side tends to present the issue according to some subset of the people involved. It’s why I tend to try and move the argument away from the “desirability” of immigrants and over to the issue of sovereignty in determining which immigrants get into the country.

DaveGinOly in reply to GWB. | November 18, 2022 at 2:51 pm

It is possible to work hard, yet still be “low-productivity.” For instance, landscape/yard maintenance is labor-intensive, but it adds very little, if any, wealth to society. People without any actual skills do this type of hard, but low-productivity work. My point being that “working hard” doesn’t always mean “productive.”

I would disagree that’s low-productivity. The environment is much less conducive to civilization when there’s tall weeds growing up and bare dirt everywhere. I think it’s a symptom and a cause of decay.
          But I understand your point.

basically….we’re gonna F U cause you ain’t Fing enough……..

He’s totally wrong about why they really want the immigrants.
Yet, he’s also saying one of the quiet parts out loud.
Quite a feat.

This is Schumer’s replacement theory which feminists caused by decreased marriage , less children and more abortions

CNN exit poll from November 8 election showed “Unmarried Women” as only demographic to vote heavily Democratic.(68%) Some unkind people may regard it as socially beneficial that it is disproportionately Democrats that are failing to to reproduce themselves.

henrybowman in reply to Lexman. | November 17, 2022 at 9:03 pm

It’s long been regarded as fremdscham (the opposite of schaedenfreude) that it is disproportionately Democrats that abort their children.

This twat is unbelievable. His party fanatically champions abortion and the sexual mutilation of our young, then says we deserve an invasion because he complains we aren’t reproducing enough.

Notably the Democrats who controlled Congress the last two years and four years under Obama and mendaciously portray themselves as the Party of Women, have never sought to guarantee paid maternity leave of even 2 weeks. Canada has a 52 week guarantee, the UK, Germany and Japan 58 weeks. Some may see a connection with my post above.

Or- we cold reform tax laws and subsidize married families with stay at home mothers so people can afford to have children. Somehow my wife and I managed having 5 over 19 years without ever drawing food stamps or WIC or anything like that. I always had an income just over the eligibility threshold.

Paula in reply to gospace. | November 17, 2022 at 5:57 pm

If we could figure out some way to make illegals pay federal income tax we would have so much money we wouldn’t know what to do.

Paul in reply to Paula. | November 17, 2022 at 6:30 pm

The problem is that most illegal’s earnings are on the lower end of the distribution, and the bottom tiers of earners are paying zero federal income taxes. In fact, many of them are getting cash out of the system in the form of ‘earned income tax credits’ and other redistribution schemes.

That’s a big part of the reason why the Dims want them here. They want to push the system to the point where the people ‘taking’ vastly outnumber the people ‘making.’ Then all they have to do is promise more and more free stuff and they’ll never lose another election. That, and continue to bolster their fraud schemes, just in case.

Paula in reply to Paul. | November 17, 2022 at 7:05 pm

They’re making enough money to buy houses.

artichoke in reply to Paula. | November 18, 2022 at 9:20 am

Do they actually buy them? That doesn’t even sound smart. If you’re illegally here and there’s that 1% chance that you get thrown out and forbidden ever to return, why would you want to invest in immobile real estate here?

But maybe they’re buying anyway. They’re acquiring a lot of chutzpah.

Of course Americans are not reproducing like they used to. How can they when they’re taught not to reproduce, left confused about how to reproduce, and told that reproduction is a dangerous threat to the health and well being of women, whatever they are.

Remember if you’re not a biologist you’re not able to know what a woman is, and both employers and Democrat state governments are funding abortion rather than family care. This doesn’t even take into account Democrat promotion of homosexuality and other such things, or the total denigration of motherhood by Democrats.

Schumer is sadly mistaken in his claim of just 11 million as the floor number for illegals in this country right now. A few years ago that estimate was 30 million and that was before Biden encouraged them to “surge” the border. That number is likely much closer to 40 million.

Canaan had mollock. America has abortion. Tale as old as time

STFU, Chuck.

He must mean something like reducing abortions.

The Gentle Grizzly | November 18, 2022 at 8:44 am

Just a thought: are the productive having fewer babies because they are taxed so heavily to feed the offspring of border jumpers and welfare leeches?

Also, above all else, eliminate all “chain immigration”. Just because your kids became citizens doesn’t mean they can now sponsor you.

Insufficiently Sensitive | November 18, 2022 at 10:50 am

Well, I’d say that on the basis of fairness and divursity, that citizenship should only be awarded to those illegals who can demonstrate registration and voting as Republicans for five consecutive elections.

The progressives aren’t reproducing because of all their abortions. Those of us who don’t believe in murder are doing very well at reproducing, thank you very much. We’ll do all we can to bring up our kids and grandkids as constitutional conservatives. But we’re not doing the kind of reproducing that Schumer wants.

Somehow Schumer thinks that all the terrorists, perverts who abuse children, cartel gang members, faux asylum seekers, drug smugglers, etc., will automagically vote Dim when they are granted a blanket amnesty and citizenship.

Exactly what sort of mathematics leads the Senator to that interesting conclusion. Perhaps he could be prevailed upon to clarify his thinking.
