Musk: ‘I Recommend Voting for a Republican Congress, Given That the Presidency is Democratic’

“To be clear, my historical party affiliation has been Independent, with an actual voting history of entirely Democrat until this year.”

Elon Musk suggested people vote for Republicans on Tuesday. Take it with a grain of salt.

A republican allows replacing Biden with Kamala, given that all her ideas then wouldn’t get anywhere.

Musk is all over the place, he has to kept those government checks coming in!

I know what Musk is doing. which will definitely help Republicans in the midterms tomorrow. What the hell have you ever done to help Republicans who are running for election? I don’t consider you sitting on your ass and and publishing comments on the Internet as having any effect at all. Do you think any voters are really reading your posts?

Wow jr , bet your mother is proud of you!

I don’t have to tell you what I do or don’t, but I have done plenty. I don’t even have to tell you that.

However with your pleasant demeanor, I bet your able to change a 1,000 democrats minds to vote Republican!

What the hell have you done? You love to disparage everyone here for commenting except yourself.

There has never been “shared power”…. as Mark Steyns says… when Republicans win they hold office, when Democrats win they hold power. We are in this mess from the drive for one party rule to advance The Party and now the nation.

Being super-duper rich means he makes great financial decisions. That and other sorts of fame, singing, acting, etc confers no special insight in political choices.

Musk is a true centrist that is not a creature of either party.

The Left has wholly rejected him because he won’t bend the knee and some of the righty Trump cultists will brush him off because he doesn’t worship Trump.

The Right could learn a lesson in productivity from Musk.

At least he didn’t say vote Democrat so I’m okay with Elon today

He probably should stick to space and cars and not politics.

A religion: morality in a universal frame, ethics its relativistic sibling, and law their politically consensual cousin, for women and men capable of self-moderation, and competing interests to mitigate the progress of others running amuck.

Hopefully, the Republicans are more Constitutional than democratic/dictatorial, and a few good Democrats will join in union.

with an actual voting history of entirely Democrat until this year.

African-Americans do tend in the majority to vote Democrat, then the aptly tailored Asses run amuck as they are wont to do.

He probably should have just kept his mouth shut. There are people who like Musk and people who hate him, and this pronouncement isn’t going to change any minds either way. All it does is bring the s*t to his own doorstep, and who needs that?

But given that he did say it, I get a thrill up my leg when I consider how hardcore Democrats must feel to know that the richest guy in the world, who voted 100% up until now, just advised other Ds to Walk Away.

I’m open to the idea of voting Democrat again in the future

That’s so stupid I can’t imagine what’s going on in his head.

If you doubt Musk is a good guy because there are some things you disagree with him on

1. Nobody is forcing him to give Ukraine internet, and he would especially after the reception he got from not just Ukrainians but actual Ukrainian government officials be well within his right to stop giving them the service for free.

2. Nobody forced him to pay an extortionate price for twitter ownership. He knows if there is a profit at all it will be minimum, and there likely won’t be any profits. He did it anyway.

We received grace from him.

He’s putting his money where his mouth is. That’s pretty damned rare these days..

Most are eager to put your money where their mouth is.

So ya, Danny is right. Where’s your money?

This was the essence of my answer when interviewed today, outside where I voted.

“What do you think of when voting?” I vote the candidate of the party out of power, on any other party line. Get the maximum diverse participation, and maybe we’ll know what’s going on. They keep doing stuff that doesn’t work — more insight beforehand would be better.

“But is there any particular issue you were considering as you voted today.” Sure, here’s a concrete example. Ballot initiative on the back, has one short paragraph about what it’s supposed to be in aid of — motherhood and apple pie, and another about what it’ll do — authorize this and that. No legislative language. Why should I believe the pitch, not the implementation? So, I was thinking — that would be good; I wonder if their legislation actually would do anything about that.
