LIVE UPDATES: 2022 Senate, Governor Results

LIVE UPDATES: 2022 Senate, Governor Results

Will Oz beat Fetterman? Will Kari Lake beat Katie Hobbs for AZ governor?

The first polls close at 5:00 PM ET. We will update the results as they come in, especially the key results.

That is, if we get the results today.

Key Senate Races: New Hampshire, Georgia, Arizona, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and maybe Washington

Key Governor Races: Michigan, Nevada, Oregon, and Wisconsin

New Hampshire

I figured NH Democratic incumbent Sen. Maggie Hassan would win. It is a huge hold for the Democrats.

STACEY ABRAMS LOSES AGAIN

Bye, Robert Francis

Will Robert finally leave? I hope so.

History! Huckabee is Arkansas’ First Female Governor

Rubio Demolishes…wins Miami-Dade County!

The Democrats thought Val Demmings could beat Marco Rubio. That’s funny.

DeSantis Wins!

WOOHOO! And guess what. Crist resigned his seat in FL-13, which went to a Republican, to run against DeSantis.

Dana Perino just said that Crist is the only one to lose a statewide election as a Republican, Independent, and Democrat.

Dyyyyying!

Tim Scott, Rand Paul

Okay, I know these were no brainers but can you imagine Rand Paul in a Republican majority Senate? Watch out, Fauci!

Scott won as soon as the polls closed. LOL.

Will Oz beat Fetterman? Yes.

Will Oz actually be the Senator after the Democrats are done ‘counting’ in a week? That’s the real question.

gonzotx in reply to Olinser. | November 8, 2022 at 5:41 pm

    No

    Pretty much this.

Massinsanity in reply to Olinser. | November 8, 2022 at 9:52 pm

Not only does it look like Fetterman will win, it is likely that Warnock will or GA will head to a run off. Wittmer and Hochul also look like they are going to win. Hassan looks safe. I hope I am wrong but the indications are troubling.

The early success in FL does not appear to be carrying over.

How much damage did Trump do with his antics this past week is the big question.

Massinsanity in reply to Massinsanity. | November 8, 2022 at 10:10 pm

VA House races show it too. Pickup in VA2 but VA7 and VA10 breaking for the Dems. May not be a wave after all.

      Fung losing in RI too.

      This sucks.

“How much damage did Trump do with his antics this past week is the big question….”

I was going to say ‘you must be kidding’, but I realize you weren’t. But for Trump, NONE of these victories would be occurring.

        Massinsanity in reply to TheFineReport.com. | November 8, 2022 at 11:04 pm

Hassan romped, Johnson is struggling, Oz is likely to lose. Masters getting destroyed.

VA 7 and 10 not very close.

This is shaping up as a disaster and you think that the most polarizing man in America jumping in at the end to make it all about him and his “big announcement” and trashing the best hope Republicans have to win in 2024 didn’t have an impact in these races then you are just a fool.

Massinsanity in reply to Massinsanity. | November 8, 2022 at 11:08 pm

And I would add Kemp in a romp while Walker struggles and we may again face the possibility of a GA runoff to control the Senate.

Trump fucked that up 2 years ago and will no doubt do it again.

Well Bitch McConnell sure as hell wasn’t out there doing anything.

He whined for months about candidates and then PULLED FUNDING from NH to try and prop up his pet RINO in Alaska instead of actually winning seats.

I’ll take Trump over the GOPe scumbags every single day of the week.

103/4 loses for Trump so far

You chose the proper name, one ending in insanity.
You are the reason we have a screwed up country. People like you will vote for a potato if it has the GOPe stamp of approval.

        Agreed

        Massinsanity in reply to TheFineReport.com. | November 8, 2022 at 11:44 pm

Right, its McConnell’s fault not the momentum killing narcissist who had to inject himself into the discussion at the last minute. Look at me, look at me, I’m making a big announcement…

Consider these results in the light of having a literal dementia patient in the WH, multi-generational inflation, no energy policy whatsoever, a wide open border, etc, etc

        What a fucking disaster.

You’re a disaster alright. 100%. You always blame Trump. It doesn’t matter that but for Trump we wouldn’t have a chance.

          Go bow down before chinaMitch.

None of them? Dude that’s not true. The candidates matter, the money they have from funding to buy ads and get out the vote matters.

You can’t cherry pick and say credit for winning but refuse blame for losing via endorsement when you put the endorsement on a pedestal.

jhkrischel in reply to Massinsanity. | November 9, 2022 at 11:58 am

Early success in FL is because FL has election integrity.

The other places are cheating, and it shows.

Want to fix elections? Fix election integrity. Until then, cheaters gonna cheat.a

And I laugh

Thisnis a MAGA election! Thisnis what President Trump worked so hard for 1.5 years at

Believe those ridiculous polls at your peril

The republicans that win tonight, win with MAGA

E Howard Hunt | November 8, 2022 at 5:43 pm

Here’s an interesting question for the professor. Herschel Walker has admitted that he was diagnosed with multiple personality disorder. If a voter writes in one of his alternate personalities, and so votes, will that vote be counted for Walker? Walker found it especially hard to accept that he had 14 different personalities because he can only count to 3.

Reading ACE of Spades on the low turn out mentioned in some places, I’m beginning to believe Smiley has a shot in Wa.

Beyond the margin of cheating…dunno.

I’ve been pessimistic because of what I see here every day. It’s turning into a shithole and people are generally accepting of it as though it weren’t the direct action of Dem power.

I hope I am wrong. None the less- they will return to voting stupid the moment the pain subsides by one iota.

Fox News is trying to call it for the Neanderthal

healthguyfsu in reply to gonzotx. | November 8, 2022 at 8:17 pm

Fetterman would be an insult to Neanderthals, especially since theories about reduced intelligence are now debunked.

Oz is still an awful candidate though. It never should have been this close.

Peabody in reply to healthguyfsu. | November 8, 2022 at 9:37 pm

Nice sense of humor. Somebody gave you a thumbs down though. It wasn’t me.

Olinser in reply to healthguyfsu. | November 8, 2022 at 9:41 pm

Yes. Oz is a horrifically bad candidate, I said that months ago, I think he’s the single biggest mistake Trump made this year.

An incoherent lump like Fetterman should have been easy to put away, but Oz has offered people absolutely nothing to actually vote FOR, its all just been negative coverage of Fetterman.

gonzotx in reply to Olinser. | November 8, 2022 at 11:45 pm

It’s Pa, it’s democrat black controlled, after what they did to Trump with their 3 am dump of 1.2 million votes and not fixing anything
Did we really expect Pa to go red?

Gosport in reply to gonzotx. | November 9, 2022 at 1:01 pm

Dem Anthony DeLuca won a seat as a State Rep in PA yesterday.

Small problem – he died of cancer on October 9th.

Barry in reply to Olinser. | November 9, 2022 at 1:17 am

        “easy to put away”

That’s what intelligent people think. The reality is, it’s pennsylvania where ANY democrat starts with 40+%. They would get 40+ if they were dead. So, no, regardless of how good the R candidate is, or isn’t, winning is a close thing in a state full of idiots.

Add in the cheating, and there you have it, nothing easy.

The Gentle Grizzly in reply to Barry. | November 9, 2022 at 1:56 am

All the better reason not to run a nonentity like Oz.

healthguyfsu in reply to Barry. | November 9, 2022 at 7:29 am

The seat was literally an R in the previous cycle.

Arminius in reply to Barry. | November 9, 2022 at 7:33 am

I live in Texas, griz. You live in Kali. Did either of us have a vote in the PA Senate race? And speaking of non-entities, Fetterman is brain dead. He’s a zombie. I fail see how he’s a better choice for Senator than someone who obviously won’t be a reliable Republican.

caseoftheblues | November 8, 2022 at 7:42 pm

Anyone who votes for any democrat in any race is a full blown idiot

How many more offices can we convince Crist to run for?

Sorry didnt see you too thought of Francis

Vance is behind in OH. Running about 11.5 % behind DeWine performance in the Gov race. Two r candidates Statewide with a huge disparity in performance. DeWine is winning counties that Vance is losing.

Ticket splitting. Lack of funding is rearing it’s head and a certain someone who has collected but not spent the $100 M + towards direct candidate support. Also a certain Senate minority leader who decided not to commit more funding. Lack of funds for get out the vote efforts, advertising and direct voter engagement to convince folks that voted for a R for Gov to pull the lever for Vance. Tragic mistake and shouldn’t have happened.

The egos involved here look as of we are going to lose a very winnable Senate seat. To much dick measuring between DJT and McConnell. Both left $ unspent that might have made the difference in OH.

Given the likelihood of shenanigans in PA leaving $ unspent in OH because ‘reasons’ is an example of how often our leadership fails by putting themselves above the goal of winning the race by supporting the damn nominee in the general election.

healthguyfsu in reply to CommoChief. | November 8, 2022 at 9:08 pm

McConnell’s type have learned that there is almost no benefit to having a slim majority. They can be the minority party and stay in on the grift while bearing zero responsibility for anything that goes wrong. It’s quite a turtle’s way of being a life-sucking DC parasite.

Peabody in reply to healthguyfsu. | November 8, 2022 at 9:23 pm

      “It’s quite a turtle’s way of being a life-sucking DC parasite.”

Hey, that’s not humor. Maybe I should take that literally.

gonzotx in reply to CommoChief. | November 8, 2022 at 9:12 pm

I think Vance pulls it out

CommoChief in reply to gonzotx. | November 8, 2022 at 10:03 pm

Lets hope, I which is all we have left with the polls closed. That’s a huge gap, 11.5%, between the performance of the top two r statewide races with 30% of the vote in. That was a while back.

Lots of ticket splitting which means some folks willing to pull the lever for a r for Gov were unwilling to do so for Vance. Funding drives the on the ground door knocking and ad buys that help close the sale. This drama and juvenile , ego driven, selfish crap between the leadership factions has got to stop once we have a damn nominee.

Don’t sit on fundraising $. Don’t take anything for granted. Always run like you are 5 points down and be willing to set aside personal dislike to support the nominees chosen in the primary. I really dislike selfish MF who expect everyone else to go along with their BS. Just in case you couldn’t tell.😊

gonzotx in reply to gonzotx. | November 8, 2022 at 11:46 pm

      He did!

Texas governor is winning but down races Lt Gov and AG are losing to Democrats

Yuck!

Why is it always the “blue” states that screw up voting? They, the democrats, have screwed up this country in just 2 years but tonight that will end.

Too many Californians have moved to Texas and really Abbott is does not have coat tails but if Paxton does not win Texas will have a RADICAL AG

Fetterman will be unable to give a victory speech.

Beto will be back. He still has a shot at losing an election for dog catcher.

    txvet2 in reply to UJ. | November 9, 2022 at 12:36 am

If a seat opens up, he can easily win something in Houston or El Paso.

      CommoChief in reply to txvet2. | November 9, 2022 at 6:56 am

IDK, I lived in El Paso for ten years leaving in Jan of 21 and they are kinda over dealing with Beto. Lots of dems there are done with guy.

2022 – the Red Ripple – What a disaster – Best case scenario may be that, once again, we will need to win a runoff in GA to take the Senate. What particularly irks me is that Brandon will be out bragging before we know it.

A ce gave his victory speech and NEVER mentioned President Trump

Vance….

I guess New Yorkers love crime, and Pennsylvanians don’t care if Biden closes coal mines across the country–if those things continue or happen, I don’t want to hear one word from New York or Pennsylvania–they had their chance, and they voted for more of the same

I do t think the Republicans are going to win the house

They are already blaming trump when the Gope pulled all their money, never went and campaigned for anyone
They wanted to lose, dead God I hate the Republican Party

Look what they are doing in Az, the dem SOS is running for govt won’t debate won’t refuse herself for monitoring the count

Immediately the machines don’t work in Az and she is gearing probably the most polished candidate anywhere.

Have to say, I’m in shock

Looks like that red tsunami turned into a ripple.

Actually listening to Charlie Kirk, NY looks like it will give us the house

As I sit here (shocked), it looks like the Democrats could very well keep the House. While acknowledging that ballots counted later could swing results significantly either way (due to differences in early /mail voting and election day voting), look at the current totals:

Democrats: called 166 plus lead of 5 ponts or more 40 = 206
Republicans: called 191 plus lead of 5 points or more 14 = 205

Remaining races:
CA27 R+4
NY04 R+4
WI03 R+4
AZ05 R+3
CA22 R+3
MD06 R+2
MI07 R+2
NY19 R+2
NY17 R+1.2
NY22 R+1.2
AZ02 R+1.0
IA03 R+0.67
NM02 R+0.37

NY18 D+0.83
PA07 D+1.6
CT05 D+1.7
CA03 D+2
CA13 D+2
CO03 D+2
CO08 D+2
OR06 D+2
PA08 D+2
IL17 D+3
MI08 D+4

B.C. (before cheating) that comes to 218-217 in favor of the Republicans. Just looking at the locations of some of the outstanding ballots, I don’t believe that Republicans can maintain their leads in all of those races. At this moment, I would have to predict a four seat gain in the House (taking Republicans to 216, as opposed to 219 for the Democrats), and no change in the Senate.

My confidence in safe and secure elections lost tonight. Big wins for the Ds and Uniparty Rs.

War room Charlie Kirk amd friends just went off the air, said Kari will win ,Blake very possibly will but very very close

Nevada will have a Republican Governor Laxalt , I’m sure I misspelled his name , it’s late and I’m
Going to bed

Well, Trump really screwed the pooch. Once again.

Trump? How is this Trumps fault, he had like 107/9 winners last night!

All he did was campaign as hard as he could for the people who carry the MAGA message. AND supply millions of dollars of his pack money as the Rest Naos, refused to financially support MANY candidates!

It was McConnell who sabotaged this election along with the RNC, much like 2020.

They want to destroy MAGA! The Democrats spent 1.5 billon on their taxes amd the Republicans, outside of Trump spent Pennie’s, had no plan nor any message.

I most States such asPa have done nothing to correct their massive cheating machine, which I am Pretty sure was in full use yesterday, definitely . Include AZ in that and Milwaukee. .

Until our voting is cleaned up, we will never have a fair election again. Florida cleaned their mess up, and we saw what can happen when ciites like Bowles county no longer have a hack working for the Democratic Party.

Tshibaka leading Murkowski in AK. 44.3 – 42.8.

The first candidate who gets a majority of the vote wins. If nobody gets more than 50% of the vote in the first round, people’s second, third and fourth choices are factored in until someone gets to 50%. Election officials aren’t expected to finish counting ballots for up to two weeks, at which point the ranked choice voting system will kick into action.

Hopefully they will sort it out before the Senate is seated in Jan. It won’t flip the seat (on paper at least) but it will possibly get rid of one of the Senate’s prime RINOs.
