Legal Insurrection’s 14th Anniversary Fundraiser – Join Us In Getting To The Next Level

Legal Insurrection’s 14th Anniversary Fundraiser – Join Us In Getting To The Next Level

We are ready to grow. The systems and people are in place despite the attacks. We are at an inflection point. Join us to be more effective and have a greater impact.

Legal Insurrection website is 14 years old today. We are at an inflection point. To help us become more effective and have a greater impact,  you can DONATE HERE.

My first blog post was October 12, 2008, Obama is “Door  No. 2″.  Each year I write an anniversary post, you can read them to see the ebb and flow of opitimism and pessimism. We thank all the donors who have stood by us through the years. You have made a difference.

We have weathered many storms over the years, and this year was no different. Earlier this year, we were unexpectedly kicked off Salsa Labs, our CRM  (“customer relationship management”) platform without any claim we violated their terms of service. “Coincidentally” we were deplatformed after it was bought by a far-left wing activist group. Funny that. It cost us dearly in time spent, lost revenue, consultants, and out of pocket expenses, that in the end will result in an almost $40k hit. But we survived.

Just like we survived earlier this year when a malicious education group we were covering tried to get us kicked off our hosting service and then tried to interfere in our domain registration. They tried to decapitate us from the internet, but we survived.

We don’t know where the next attack will come from, but we know it will be unexpected and that our readers and donors will stand with us. We thank you for that.

We know what it’s like to be under attack, this year was just worse than in the past. It’s why we understand what people under attack are going through (I understand it particularly well). We try to be first responders to people in trouble, by shining a light.

Covering Gibson’s Bakery was perhaps our most high profile spotlight, but there are so many more. Read the testimonials here.

So as we enter our 15th year, we are psyched to get to a new level. We have plans to expand our research and investigation efforts, to build and shine an even better spotlight when people like Ramona Bessinger, the Providence school teacher, are under attack. We are approaching ramming speed.

We understand that for many of you it’s not feasible to speak out yourselves for fear of job loss for you or family. We get it. We understand. We are your voice, we can act and take the heat.

We try to keep the spirit of Andrew Breitbart alive:

“Walk toward the fire. Don’t worry about what they call you. All those things are said against you because they want to stop you in your tracks. But if you keep going, you’re sending a message to people who are rooting for you, who are agreeing with you. The message is that they can do it, too.”

We want to grow. We are ready to grow. The systems and people are in place despite the attacks.

But we don’t want only to build a brighter spotlight, though that is important. We are laying the foundation to be able to pursue litigation against the discriminatory policies sweeping the nation in the name of “equity,” and in support of individuals fighting for equality. That’s the plan. But it’s going to take money.

DONATE HERE.

We know many of you have stood right by our side as donors in the hardest of times. Thank you. Your support has kept us moving forward and we credit our success to you fighting beside us.

Consider this an alert that we are ready for take off to the next level of Legal Insurrection. We ask you to join us in this effort. We can’t do it without you.

If we donate, will our log-ins make that gawd-awful “window shade” ad pop-up go away when we log in?

I can give credit to Barack Obama for leading me to LI a couple of months after it was started. Actually, I should say my disdain for Barack Obama. The Professor’s disdain for Barack Obama resonated with mine, so I felt at home here.

It’s hard to believe the changes in the world in the last 14 years. Not many for the better.

PayPal?

In light of recent issues with that platform and their terms of service, I’d say that finding a new payment processor would be in order.

I gave again, I do every year.

I also give year round by having my Amazon account give to LIF automatically as part of their charity contribution. Costs nothing!

(although we know TANSTAAFL)

Been here since the first post.

Keep on fighting the good fight!

Oh, and consider taking PayPal down as a payment option. They don’t deserve any conservatives business.

Done.
Mighty fine work done by LI.
