High School Football Players Praised as Heroes for Rescuing Woman From Car Crash

“They went above and beyond to help this lady without hesitation.”

Americans need to hear more stories like this one in the news. These young men deserve all the praise they are receiving.

The New York Post reports:

High school football players hailed as heroes for saving woman trapped in car crash

A group of high school football players from Georgia is being praised for their quick thinking and heroic actions after saving the life of a woman involved in a car crash.

Members of the Rome High School football team — including Cesar Parker, Treyvon Adams, Antwiion Carey, Messiah Daniels, Tyson Brown and Alto Moore — arrived at school last Friday when they witnessed a serious collision between two cars that left a 50-year-old woman trapped inside.

According to mathematics teacher Luis Goya, smoke was pouring from the car with fluid spilling everywhere and the doors jammed, but the brave athletes immediately jumped in to rescue her.

“They literally started using their strength to pry the door open, so the lady could be released,” Goya wrote in a Facebook post. “After a few seconds of pulling and pushing the door, the boys ended up opening it and helped her get out of the car.

“She was shaking and still in panic, but our RHS boys gave her comfort and were able to help her,” the teacher continued. “The Rome High School football players really showed up today. They went above and beyond to help this lady without hesitation.”

Adams, 16, told USA Today he was driving four of the boys to school when they saw the crash.

“It was right in front of me. I turned off the car and jumped out and said, ‘Hey look, let’s go help her,’” he said on Monday. “The woman was leaning over into the passenger seat begging for help. She had blood on her face and was screaming.”

The students then sprung into action — with the crash and incredible rescue caught on the school’s video cameras.
