Biden Chooses Lois Lerner Associate to Oversee Massive Expansion of the IRS

“saw the agency target conservative and tea party affiliated groups as a political arm of the Obama-Biden administration”

For the last week or so, lots of people have been talking about Biden’s decision to expand the IRS significantly.

Have you heard he is hiring a direct associate of Lois Lerner to help him do it?

That would be the same Lois Lerner who was at ground zero of the Obama IRS scandal, in which conservative groups were denied tax-free, non-profit status right before an election.

What could possibly go wrong this time?

Spencer Brown reports at Townhall:

Of Course This Is Who Biden Picked to Lead ‘Centralized’ IRS for His Massive Expansion

As the Biden administration continues its attempts to consolidate power within the federal government and among its leftist allies, there’s a familiar face being tapped to lead Biden’s effort to surge power, resources, and agents to the IRS — and she has quite the track record of working to target conservative groups and organizations.

One of Lois Lerner’s lackeys from the Obama-era IRS scandal — one that saw the agency target conservative and tea party affiliated groups as a political arm of the Obama-Biden administration — will be leading the Biden administration’s expansion of the IRS and stated goal of hiring 87,000 new agents.

Nikole Flax, who most recently served as the deputy commissioner in charge of the IRS’ Large Business & International Division, has been with the IRS since 2008. According to IRS Commissioner Charles Rettig, Flax will be leading “the creation of a new, centralized office for implementation of all IRS-related provisions” outlined in the boondoggle falsely named the “Inflation Reduction Act.” There’s little Democrats love more than a chance to work on “centralized” anything within the federal government.

As unbelievable as that is, it’s not even the worst part. Here’s the part that will truly blow your mind…

As the Democrat Media Complex is defending the FBI raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home and advancing a narrative about Trump and supposedly classified documents, this person Biden is tapping to serve at the IRS allegedly had devices and documents that mysteriously disappeared after the IRS scandal broke.

Athena Thorne reports at PJ Media (emphasis is mine):

Obama-Era Tea Party Targeter Appointed to Create IRS Office Overseeing 87,000 New Agents

Nikole Flax worked under Lois Lerner in the Obama administration IRS while the agency infamously targeted conservative political organizations such as the Tea Party by slow-walking and suppressing their tax-exempt applications. She was also one of seven executives whose hard drives mysteriously self-destructed, preventing House investigators from viewing her emails. Now, the career IRS executive has been tapped to establish a new, centralized office in charge of implementing the Democrats’ latest tax and spending bill, including oversight of the 87,000 new IRS agents the bill authorizes.

We probably shouldn’t be surprised because the IRS pulled the same thing with Lois Lerner’s emails.

I laugh whenever the media says that Republicans have “weaponized” an issue.

The Biden administration is openly weaponizing the state against half of the country.

All true and bad but where are our “hero’s”? (The GOPe/RINO caucus)

I don’t see them fighting or actually doing anything.

I do see them refusing to support MAGA candidates in favor of “electable” (RINO) candidates to maintain the turtle status quo.

I do see them “reaching across the aisle” to save the left every time they screw up.

I do see the occasional “stern word” on Sunday programs.

Until we actually start fighting, we aint fighting.

Zero surprises here. Until there is a downside for bad behavior, it will continue. Lerner has retired with full benefits and the accolades of the Democrat party, and the dinosaur media, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Democrat party.

Yeah, that’s not a bad look at all Joe.

– $80 billion in new IRS funding (for what exactly?).
– Hire 87,000 new enforcement agents.
– Promote people with known corruption issues to leadership roles (Why is this person still even working for the govt in any capacity other than making license plates in prison?)

They act like they are invulnerable and can spit in the face of the taxpayers with no repercussions, and so far they are absolutely right.

Have you ever tried to reach the IRS via telephone?

At the very least they need to hire someone to answer the phones.

We’re really putting too much on this. I mean who among us has not formatted a hard drive full of incriminating evidence in advance of felony charges, really.

We live in terrifying times.

We’ll never get out of this it seems evil always wins because they never sleep, they never compromise.

They have been working hard at all those Davis meetings

Silly me

The facial expression on that woman’s face tells me all I need to know.

I don’t see any problem with the hire.

And what is with the Lois Lerner obsession?

Correct me if I’m wrong she but didn’t do anything wrong and it wasn’t even close.

The Civil Service Act has to go.

If you support conservative causes or websites, buy books by conservative authors and/or support Israel, you can expect the newly weaponized IRS to audit you.

Don’t cheat on your taxes and you have absolutely nothing to worry about. I was audited and the agent was polite and professional and fair. She asked me to substantiate my deductions and I handed her the evidence. Easy peasy. My opinion is y’all are getting worked up over a big nothing burger.

For once rewarding success. This one did the dirty work without getting tagged for it — just like a pro.

It isn’t the ones you caught you need to worry about. It’s the ones you didn’t catch.

Biden just loves every opportunity to chuck his middle finger at America.
When America finally responds with a different finger to him and those like him, he’s going to act really butthurt.

Is the govt a mechanism for us to govern ourselves to our advantage? Or are we subject to the govt’s whim perhaps for others’ advantage? BTW, who’s “us”?

The IRS takes from some, in the main to disperse to others. Transfer payments are different from collectively paying for common goods.

Gropey-Joe is playing hard to some constituencies, with tokens extracted from others. So, more IRS — good. Recent college “loan” “forgiveness” will cost me $2,000 says Wharton. There’s me, and them, because the policy makes it that way.

For some, a policy harming “those people” is a gain not an unfortunate cost of something better. They’re not like us, and vote wrong anyway, so might as well cleanse them from the body politic. Besides they suck, and have it coming. This goes with labeling “deplorables”, “irredeemables”, “bitterly clinging”, and the recent “ultra-maga” and “semi-fascist..”

They do seem to have to make up labels for the un-people. Interesting.
