People ‘Triggered’ by Tweets About Gender From College Republicans at Miami University

“Saying stuff like that will just put trans people or gender non-conforming, gender diverse people in danger”

One student complained but that was apparently enough to make the school newspaper.

The College Fix reports:

College Republicans’ tweets cause angst ‘among some’ at Miami University

A series of tweets posted by the Miami University College Republicans regarding gender ideology has, according to the student paper, “caused controversy among some” on campus.

But it seems for The Miami Student, “some” means “one.”

The only person cited in The Student’s report on the alleged controversy is “transgender and queer” student Logan Harvey. They (Harvey uses plural pronouns) said the CRs’ tweets made them feel “unwelcome on campus.”

“Saying stuff like that will just put trans people or gender non-conforming, gender diverse people in danger, in harms way, and that’s putting a target on their back,” Harvey said. “I really hope stuff like that doesn’t happen at Miami, but it’s already been happening elsewhere.”

Here is precisely what the CRs posted that is “unwelcoming” and “dangerous”:

Will Republicans never learn! It’s not acceptable to protest with mean and harmful tweets. You must dress up in costumes and takes signs and march and yell and make theats while doxxing university officials in their homes.

I hear a new vaccine is being developed to combat triggering.
I implore all the easily-triggered people to reserve appointment times.

I don’t care what “they” say.

Being so overly “sensitive” sounds vaguely stereotypical to me.

Why do “transgender and queer” students have the sole ability to make others uncomfortable on campus?
